Can you help me please!? 🙏 🙏 I don't see the upload for auditions??
Hi Angela. I found your video to be very helpful. I'm considering doing voice over work myself and recently submitted my first audition with ACX. Watching your video makes me realise the newbie errors I have made with that first audtiion 😊 but now having watched your video, I am much better informed. Thanks again for uploading this helpful guide.
Wow, you sounded great. Do you have any tips for SMACKYNESS when speaking or anything that you do specifically.
Thank you for watching and for the compliment! I love this word Smackyness! Water, for sure. Hydration will help with mouth noise, I've also heard green apples help as well. I use a plug in from Izotope for reducing mouth noise, best investment ever....
@@VoiceOverAngela Great videos! What's the plug in called? Also, do you recommend any other plug ins?
Wow this was INCREDIBLY helpful! Thank you!!
This was very helpful, thank you! Love your voice! I have just one question (for now) HA! If we choose a book to audition for and then we get chosen for it, does the rights holder give you a digital version of the book to read? How does this work?
Hi Jodi! Great question, the book will be in an ebook/ digital form, pdf or doc usually. The Rights Holder cannot post a book for production without it already being available on Amazon as an ebook... if that makes sense... :)
@@VoiceOverAngela Ok, so this is what they call the manuscript correct?
@@jodiroy1809 yes, that is correct 😉
Hello Angela! I have been considering tapping into the world of audiobook narration for some time now.
II’ve always been an avid reader (complete bookworm since young childhood)friends and strangers enjoy my storytelling style, cadence and different voices reading aloud. I really did get a good feel for functions that particular website and I appreciate that information. thank you and I hope your career continuous positive trajectory!
Your voice sounds like butter on bread.
This is wonderful! I am rediscovering my Jersey accent and now auditioning. Thank you so much and looking forward to viewing your other videos.
Excellent presentation thank you
You are delightful to watch. And VERY GOOD AT VO. Thanks for the lesson!
Thanks for sharing. I am looking foward to learning more from you on this topic. This is an excellent way to supplement my income so I can enjoy my hobbies more.
This is Mr Reddy watched your video reg ACX is excellent and motivational to all freshers like me❤
What a lovely, calming voice you have. I really enjoyed watching and learning, however as at absolute beginner some of the technical stuff I.e the settings on the left of your computer system went a little over my head. I’m sure you have other videos on this so will look out.
Thanks, Angela! I was excited to find this video and learn more about auditions. You are warm and easy to listen to and have been a great help and inspiration. Thank you!
New voice over artist here! Thank you for this video!
Thanks HUGE for this. I just started audiobooks last year, signing my first royalty-share before I realized it was basically working for free. But a great noob experience, before signing my first upfront paid book - as you noted. Auditioning most definitely is a learning curve that takes practice to perfect :)
Thank you very much, Angela. I appreciate the insight you give and I am happy to subscribe to your channel. I teach people in prison how to prepare themselves for an unfriendly job market. Your channel is a big help.
ok thank you for your step by step video this was great thank you so much
I am at that point in my life where I am wanting something else, then I come across ACX and then your youtube channel. I wondered why there's no Filipino person doing this here? I am a middle aged woman with very little computer experience, but I am very interested in dong this. I wonder if i could do this and will there be an audience out there for myself? I guess i have to try for me to know right? I feel overwhelmed but i will go thru some more of your you tube channel... its very inspiring.... Thank you and God Bless...
@@jenniferdeleon6721 Hello ma'am, I'm Beth (I'm using my mom's acc) sorry but this is a late reply. I'm 26 ,Filipino, and feeling lost lately. I've been a language teacher for years and quit to pursue my own business. I can totally relate to your comment, I wanted to be an actor or a voice actor. There are millennials who have this career too but I guess this is one of most underrated jobs out there. I really love to explore jobs like these. Underrated but worth the salary.😄
This video is a GREAT help in putting the practice process in perspective.
I love your voice and I greatly appreciate your video. Thank you! Heading to your website now!
I love your voice! I’m just getting started with voiceover and this video has been super helpful! Thank you!

♥️
i worked in radio and Tv for years until my last gig as producer and host went south in 1993. Now I'm a mortician (what a transition!), but I'd like to try getting back behind the mic again. I hope I can try narrating audio books. I love this video! You've shown me how to get my foot in the door, and I'm going to subscribe to your website.
Thank you so much. Give it a try, you might just love it!

Thank you so much! You are very generous and kind to make these helpful videos!
Hi Angela! firstly, I simply can not describe to you, just how helpful your videos are to me. Although I've been singing and performing for 46 years, recording is very new to me. I have done work for local producers, including voice and screen acting. But, they did all the technical work! You, and your video content are a true blessing... Thank you so very much.
New into voiceover work, but your videos have been very encouraging and helpful.
