And cool shout-out to SOMA. As a Canadian, I instantly recognized Toronto's metro, and really enjoyed the story-telling. I like this style of game -- they are fun and relaxing and thought provoking. If you haven't played "Everybody's Gone To The Rapture," I heartily recommend it. It's a flat-screen game, but its a master-class in story-telling with a transcendent soundtrack. And it's by the studio that made "Still Wakes The Deep."

Pretty amazing that people can play games like this in VR on day one when the developer didn't offer VR support. UEVR seems incredible. Hopefully it makes the work of modders/VR port studios easier. It'd be great to get some games like this with full proper motion controls (not just for aiming the flashlight which UEVR can do, but like, climbing things and physically interacting with the world).
For my PS5 brethren with Plus Extra: I highly highly recommend their previous flat game; 'Everybody's Gone to the Rapture'. Beautiful visually, and narratively. Top drawer voice acting. Wonderful storytelling. And if you grew up in the 80s like me, then tons of nostalgia to wallow in too. Edit: actually thinking about it, I'm not sure if it is in the Extra catalogue. It may have been an old regular plus game. Sorry. Worth a buy though. 👊✌️

I was just thinking how cool this game would be in vr, being someone who worked on offshore rigs i thought the intro was a fairly accurate depiction. Ill be trying this for sure.
This game looks better than Halyx. I was playing it with a RTX 3090 but has a lot of lagg in High settings 3840 4k, UETAA. Can you share your configuration?
Why PSVR 2 only? Way to gate keep man. Just say it needs to be ported to VR and leave it at that. PSVR2 is dead. Sony is making a whopping 2 games for it and halting production, and further development. PC and Quest are thriving.
I would try this with uevr but I find it unplayable. I’ve tried fallen order and ready or not. Graphically the games look great, but regardless of whatever profile I use/tweak settings the motion blur is disgusting. I played two hours of this game on Xbox last night and it’s brilliant. As a huge fan of The Thing, this game has some of the most messed up creature designs I’ve seen in ages.
This game looks like it should have been made for VR. I said so from the first trailer. This just furthers the fact that sony is not doing a thing to truly support their headset. Their headset ahould be filled with experiences like this. Instead we are sitting around waiting for amateur developers to release games like max mustard. It shouldnt be on the consumer to now upgrade their pc with a $1,000 worth of hardware just to play their $500 headset only partially the way they are meant to be played.
This is the responsibility of the studio that produced it, The Chinese Room, and their publisher. It is not Sony's responsibility to control what the 3rd party releases, or the platforms it supports. This is not a Sony game, simply put. What Sony CAN do is proposition studios and and fund hybrid games as a means of supplying more hybrids on their platform. And I personally believe that while Still Wakes The Deep is incredible, Sony should focus their funding on high-profile titles that will have great exposure.
1st comment here and something I had to bring up.. Got my prescription PSVR2 lenses from a company called "VR Lens Lab" Why do I bring this up? Because I already have lenses from VR Optician which are great but the frames are really thick and dig into my eyebrows.. The VR Lens Lab ones have a thinnest size option.. This adds to the expense but they're so comfortable.. Anyway.. Just had to bring that up 😊

Can anyone share what rig would offer fluid gameplay around 72fps and higher on max settings in vr?
I only had 2 options for graphics high or epic how can I lower it to make it playable

They are completely different games so hard to compare
If you have a friend to play with them crossfire would probably be more fun. If not are you plan on playing solo then Vertigo 2
