It’s mind boggling that this is still going on 4 years later and justice has not been served. Their entire lives have been violated beyond belief. Martha is so impressive and brilliant. Incredible! What I love about this, is that Martha and her family are obviously one unbreakable unit. Their strength is beyond description. It’s unfortunate, but true, that the FBI has participated in some really corrupt activity. I hope they will be able to put this all behind them soon. As for Dateline, I’m a fan too. My mother and I watch it together. She often ends up feeling depressed by the stories, while I watch it to see the innocent be exonerated and the guilty put away. That’s my hope, anyway.

I hope her family finally gets the peace which they deserve. When people hear her story, they are outraged, but how many of those same people usually jump to assume someone is guilty every headline they read, whether criminal or celebrity gossip? We have unfortunately become a society lacking all critical thinking, where too many often jump to condemn on any headline without holding judgment and needing to see all evidence before they can even opine to reach an educated conclusion. As a society, we have to get critical thinking back and not rush to judgment, and even more importantly, role model that to our children.
This is one of the best State of Mind Episodes I've watched. Martha is a class act. I watched her for years on ATWT. I hope truth prevails and the case against her husband, Michael is dismissed. A lot of us are praying for you and your family. Keep us posted!

Maurice, I found this intriguing and heart tugging. However, having worked in a Dept. Of Corrections for a time and having reviewed many cases of people who were convicted in what I felt was unfairly and seen how it is not at all difficult to go to prison when you are innocent; I would stay far, far away. I love your show very much. I also think the world of you. This was not your typical State of Mind. Please always look out for yourself and family first. Perhaps the best venue for this type of story would be through journalist. Take care, I love you..❤❤❤

Part two of Martha’s interview was captivating. It is so sad how the government can wreck such havoc on innocent lives. I’m 70 yrs old and in my wildest imagination never thought our government could be so dirty. The monies, the time, and reputations they are capable of destroying is reprehensible. Sounds like a nightmare. I pray Martha’s husband will someday find vindication.

I just thought Part 1 was incredible. Part 2 far surpasses it. Excellent interview. Praying for Martha’s husband and family that the Judge sees him as not guilty and they recoup expenses as well.
I remember when Felicity Huffman was arrested in the early morning with her family for the whole scheme of getting their children into great colleges. While that was true, there was no need to surround her house early in the morning for that!!! It’s very sad that they are having to go through this

It is done early morning like that for safety reasons. That is the time people are most likely to be asleep, and if they are up, most likely just waking getting their wits about them. Going that time, when people are the most off-guard, which has been shown to be the safest for officers.

This is so heartbreaking and devastating. As someone who always tries to see the good in people, I'm just at a loss, how they can target your husband who did nothing wrong and lie about him when he was hired to do a job and was then completely forthcoming with the FBI and tried to help them to have prosecutors lying to destroy him, it is insane and I just don't understand why???? What is there to be gained from hurting someone like this??? How do these people sleep at night??? Praying for you and your family. And praying this nightmare will end for your husband.

Thank you for this incredible 2 part interesting yet terrifying interview. Martha Byrne weaved a riveting story that rivals any crime podcast. The scariest part is it is true. I am reminded of the terrible injustice done to Tyler Gerard. The big difference is that was in a foreign country. Pure lies kept him in a hell worse than prison.
How he built up the fortitude to survive by holding tightly onto his faith is echoed in the sentiments of Martha's devastating legal battle. The sad part is it sounds like there is nothing legal about it. Like Gerard It is no wonder she and her husband are passionate to fight for the rights of the challenged and impoverished. May this desire help her get thru her nightmare.
Wish police and fbi would focus on Real criminals! Stop misdirecting our attention from the real issues!! My heart goes out to you and your children❤

This is beyond infuriating!
Man, between part 1 & 2, I felt it wz ALL so good!!! Martha's such an inspiring person, really 4 any1 going thru a difficult time!!! Tbh, I actually wished u made part 2 longer or had a part 3. I ended up watching them back to back, but during the 2nd part, Bernice u or Martha, more often she wld say "This is sumthing we talked abt yesterday,"?!?! BUT I knew it wzn't from Part 1. Not sure if a lot wz edited it out?!?! 1x wz when Martha brought up, that sum ppl do not hve a support system etc & a few oth things she'd mention, that I found helpful & each time, she'd say "We talked abt this yesterday." But sounded like she expounded on a few helpful things more deeply w/ u that would've bin helpful 2 hear, but wz edited out?!?! I guess cuz I cld've personally heard more & felt, I needed 2 hear more of what she said!!! I feel BOTH awful 4 what they've bin thru & are STILL going thru!!!! It's beyond ctazy. BUT dealing w/ a violation of my own & the legal system, it hit me hard also on a diff level!!! 😢 BUT equally Martha wz incredibly inspiring!!! But in my sitn, I'm STILL struggling when & how 2 fight something legally & pursue justice, when I know how difficult it is & the probability of getting justice. BUT the tension isn't just abt me, but moreso knowing that there's a high %age that oths have bin violated in the same way, by the same person in a position of power!!! I'm still struggling figuring out the best choice legally & its beyond hard & heavy!!! But it does also affect my mental health. I definitely appreciated Martha talking abt her faith. She's such a strong person but also wz so real & is SO genuine. I will pray 4 their family!!! 🙏🙏🙏 I'm certain I'll rewatch part 2, esp a few times!!!!
