@@UbergeeksBiz I did it! Really great video. Thank you so much! I own a business with kids and we go through so many Ipads. I have 4 sitting on my desk ready to get fixed. :)
The scanner in the new button will not work because the ID of the new button will not match the ID iPad was programmed with. It will work per se, but the functionality will be limited to being just a button, not a button with fingerprint scanning function, so no, you can’t just re-scan your thumb.
@@dropdead266 Nope. I went to a shop and they said it’s impossible to fix it in that condition. However, my screen was shattered so that’s probably why he said no.
It is very possible to repair a bent iPad (depending on the severity). My iPad 10” 8th gen was in my backpack with 4-5 hardcover books. I had my bag behind my driver seat. I picked up my 3 friends and my gf’s 2 girlfriends. I had 7 people in my little ass car. Well my bag was stomped. The top third of the iPad was bent upwards. It looked like the tail of a skateboard. But I fixed it myself by gutting out my iPad and bending it back to its original form the best I could. I used my uncles auto body hand tools. Just gotta be delicate with rebending & reshaping. Patience is key but it’s definitely doable. @@irongamer28
Idk I think you have some balls not turning disconnecting the battery. I’ve repaired my fair share of iPads within my shop and I’ve ruined a couple iPads by not disconnecting the battery. Are you sure have the iPad off with make sure that’s not a problem?
There are also small pieces of glass on the battery and all over the insides. He needs to blow it out with a compressor while keeping the tablet upside down (preferably) and then use some masking tape or similar to pick all the glass dust. If not removed, so of it might eventually end up between the screen and the digitizer. You also don't want that glass to end up in your plugs.
I’m sure you know more than I do when it comes to repairs, replacements, etc. But after watching some of your videos, you’re lacking professionalism, business ethics, integrity, not following the fundamentals, you said you have to work in a clean environment, yet you made a horrific attempt at cleaning out the glass, dust, little foreign objects. And making ego driven decisions and choosing not to follow proper procedures. For example, taking short cuts, just cutting the connections with scissors, not disconnecting the battery even tho it only takes 5-10 seconds. Knowing that’s the proper, safest way, knowing it is supposed to be done this way because it’s well known in the industry practices. You were using sharp metal tools in areas where you shouldn’t because accidents can and will happen. you were even saying to be very careful all while doing the opposite. Also, since you’re a content creator on here, maybe work on you editing skills. This video could have been 15-20 minutes and you would have gotten a lot more views man. I apologize if this is harsh criticism made you really angry or made you emotional and cry. But you’re a business that works on paying customers property. The very least you can do is treat there property with the utmost respect and care. I know you can do better. We believe in you. He did not put any tape in the corners. That's where many people grab the iPad by. It creates stress points and any moisture will get in. He can just bridge the tape with some E7000 or similar glue. It also just takes few seconds to do.
"I like to give it a little snuggle" :) Thanks for the video! I'm going to try it.
You're so welcome!

@@heatherneu8197 Great. I'm glad the video helped.
Thanks. I did it!! With your help.😊
I’ve watched the video to see if it’s a job I can do myself. You have made it look so easy 👍🏾
Thanks for the video, I successfully replaced my screen for $25 instead of a phone store trying to charge 250. Thank you.
you are welcome. glad the video helped.
Is there a screen replacement kit that you recommend?
He left links on the description
Thanks so much! It took more time than I anticipated, but your video was so helpful.
I love the video. Will attempt this myself soon. Why not use the new home button that comes with the new screen? I can always re-scan my thumb…?

Is ipad 7 & 8 lcd screen are same???
Could you explain why ghost tap often happens with at home repairs and how to avoid it?
More likely the new screen sensor in the back is touch something. Therefore you are getting ghost touch
when doing this repair I accidentally broke the home button what do you mean by home id?
Thanks! Looks easy. Sort of. But a lot of work. I think I can do it,but… due to time constraints, may find someone else to do it.
If this guy can do it, I don’t even know you but you can definitely do it!

You left SOOOO much dust in-between the LCD screen and the new glass. Downright lousy and unprofessional.
I hands down agree.

Feel this video could have been shorter like he repeated his self a lot like come on
Thanks
Well make your own video. He's explaining to people what to do. Some videos are too short and don't explain enough.
