- My legs and arms are shown for educational and informational purposes to show how the product performed. Well... I tried. While viewers may find this video comical, I seriously did my best to make the Instant Sunless Spray Tanner by Australian Gold work for me. However, I did not have success with this instant bronzer with gradual tanning. In this video, I show product details, how I used it, before and after photos, and my analysis. The Instant Sunless Spray Tanner by Australian Gold was super messy in my experience; do not spray while standing on any surface that you do not want discolored. I sprayed while over the tub and the video shows how much color is deposited on the surface of the tub. While the product did rinse out of the tub, I would not leave it on the tub surface very long. Also, this product was impossible for me to get an even spray. Every time I used it, the product ran on my skin. I ended up having to don plastic gloves to rub in the Instant Sunless Spray Tanner by Australian Gold and the tan the next day was still uneven! While the color and the smell are great, the messiness and unevenness make this product a no go for me. You may have other results. I gave this product another try today, and it is just not for me. I sprayed on my legs and arms, and held the container at a greater distance than shown in the video. One viewer said I was holding the container too close to my skin. The product does NOT spray evenly. I had to begin spraying BEFORE the spray hit my skin and stop spraying once the product stream was not on my skin; otherwise, I had a big blob of brown. There was still a LOT of wasted product in the shower stall; it went everywhere. I am not prepared to go outdoors to spray for all of the body parts that I would like tanned! Additionally, it took the product well over an hour to dry and stop being "tacky to the touch." I had to wear old clothes to work and place a raincoat over my leather car seats. Finally, the product left my skin feeling dirty and gross. I will have to shower again today because my skin feels too icky for a good night's sleep. Failure again for this product. HOWEVER, I love love love the Australian Gold Instant Sunless Tanning Lotion! bought this self tanner spray while on vacation last weekend! I must say the bathroom got way better results with streaking, however I ended up looking like leather on the beach 🏖

I HATE the application process but I love love love the results. It’s such a pretty tan. DO IT IN FRONT OF A FAN!! The st tropez lotion that’s like white I like it’s the express one is AMAZING but obviously more expansion. But it literally feels like a B&BW body cream and it smells so good. Like Dior lotion!
Yes, the color is divine! I had some left in the can do I went outdoors, sprayed it on, and rubbed in by hands. It does dry my skin. Also, it feels creepy the first two hours.
I've used the same kind a few times and never had streaks. Tip: I spray a handful into my hands and rub it into my skin evenly a section at a time while standing on a towel. It makes no mess that way. Basically I use it like a lotion. Rub it in more on Boney places like ankles elbows extra. Then I wash my hands n use peroxide and a towel to clean hands that I put it on with so they aren't orange and anywhere else that may look streaky and just blend. If I'm a pale redhead and have it mastered, I have faith in you! My way works great! I've done this with different bands of spray tans n had the same result! It works good.
LOL, thanks! I have a few other tanning videos up about products. Eventually, I will work my way through a bunch. A friend recommended the Australian Gold lotion so I bought some of that last week and will report back. Jergen's is my favorite lotion one but sometimes I just want a spray on for speed. Neutrogena sunless tanning spray is awesome. Sprays evenly, no dripping, and no need to wipe down after spraying. I’ve tried the Australian Gold, and thought it was awful and so time consuming.

I spray on whatever part then rub well into skin. I love it. It comes out so even. I do agree definitely not 60 seconds to dry. I would say sit and scroll Facebook for 10 minutes. Also I go into my shower to spray just in case
I try to spray it outside because the can I had, distributed the spray too messy. Like you, I spray and quickly run it in as it it was a liquid. The color is great. The Australian Gold Lotion/Creme is perfect!!! Check my video on that one.

LOL. Great color with this but the sprayer is a no-go. I recently just tried it again (the same can because I never used it all) and had the same poor coverage results. I had to hand-rub it in. If I have to do that, I will just use a creme or lotion.
Has to be spread around after spraying. Takes a few tries to get it right.
Oooooooo Lord that mess! Plus that was such a waste of sunless tanner going down the drain! I've never been a spray on sunless tanner fan personally. You don't get as much for your money, some end up spraying like this one and product getting wasted (seemed to be most), and it's hard to get an even tan. You are right Kim, a spray on sunless tanner shouldn't require blending and rubbing in. That basically beats the purpose...
OMGOOOOOOSSSHHHH😲! No way I would use this product! It would have to be one where it was applied the night before and I'd have to take a shower in the morning but that rubbed off to much after. Even after a shower. No no no no. I'd be calling Australian Gold and want a refund! Just seeing your experience with it, it's on my list for one of the top WORST sunless tanner. I'm glad I saw this video AFTER I've used the lotion version for a few weeks now. Soo many differences. Lotion is not sticky, dries surprisingly quick, does not come off onto your clothes, towels or anything, and I've never felt sticky. The color is more of a gradual build but not badly. Like Jergens for example to me. During the building process, I had to apply it thicker for days to achieve my desired color, it seemed to take forever to achieve a good color, and though applied thinner then initially, I had to apply it everyday to keep the color.
With the lotion version of this, the pros outway the cons. I preferably want to only have to apply my sunless tanner once or twice a week to maintain my desired color. With this I've had to reapply 3x a week, so every other day - every 3rd day, but I'm able to apply it soo quick without worrying about concentrating on the areas around the knees, elbows, hands and feet, plus it dries soo quick that it hasn't bothered me. Plus I like sunless tanners that are of deeper color, but all of those have rubbed off onto everything. This has been only 1 of 2 products that haven't rubbed off onto everything. I think this is my product of choice currently.
I am definitely more of a fan of the lotions. While the lotions and creams take a little more time to apply, my skin is not as dry and the tan is way more even and lasts longer! This spray was terrible!

😂🤣😂 I actually like the L'Oreal Sublime spray. However, the Australian Gold spray was horrible! The Australian Gold lotion is one of the best products I've ever used. I have videos up about all of these. Thank you for watching!
@@KimTownsel Iam actully a guy (Not gay) . But yes, i go up in my look. I never use spray tan, as i had very bad experince with it. I take the sunbed instead. 10 min 1-2 times a week, give me a pretty tan ^^

Lol yes! I sprayed myself in my room like I do with my usual tanner spray, and my carpet turned tan! I had to run to the store for carpet cleaner!

Stay white or don't use this unless you desire to be multi-colored. Loreal spray tanner works far better than this spray by Australian Gold.
tannin beds are safer for ya than tanning spray. how many words in the ingredient list can you not pronounce out loud?
no footage for ya of the big paintball game. was a super good day. i only got suckered into one ambush.
2 girls were playing and about 35 dudes. everyone had a blast. the one girl was still playing by the time i got myself back into my car to leave.
my gun went down for 2 of 5 games. first time i was able to call out enemy positions and draw fire. second time it happened i was too tired to be a decoy. my legs have left my body. good night.
Tanning beds are easier, for sure. Thanks for the report on the paintball escapades. Hope your legs begin working for you soon! I think I know the feeling.
My mother just got done with a round of chemo. 6 months. Lost all her hair. She had skin cancer on her face that would've required about a 4th of her skin removed FROM HER FACE. But sunless tanning sprays are worse, right? 😒

After 50+ years of surfing, I just had my 4th Melanoma surgery. I have also had 3 Basal Cell surgeries. These are due to UV exposure from years ago. This time I had MOHS surgery on my throat and neck, on a spot that popped up 3 months after my last exam. It was deeper then any melanomas in my past. Tanning beds are just as bad as the sun. Ask your Dermatologist if you don't believe me. I now avoid ANY tanning and see my Dermatologist on a regular basis. I beg everyone to wear sunscreen and try not to get sunburned.
UV exposure is also the most preventable cause of skin cancer.
To lower your risk of getting skin cancer, protect your skin from UV rays from the sun, and avoid artificial sources of UV exposure like tanning beds and sunlamps.
I now use Australian Gold Instant Sunless Tanning Spray but want to try other brands. Might try Hawaiian Tropic Sunless Tan Self Tanning Foam next. All these Self Tan sprays,foams etc... need to be less then $10.00 a can.
