nah you probably just need a better setup or tuner. plenty of fbo ported intake manifold 9th gens door to door with fbo 8th gens. But than again I live in SoCal so all the fast cars are out here.
It's funny because every time I see an 8th gen si against the 9th gen the 8th gen always finishes in front I've raced at least 4 different 9th gen and they had things done to it and mine has a muffler delete and a Injen short ram and still finished in front so I'm guessing adding mods to my 8th gen will still make them look at my rear
It depends on the roll tbh but as a 9th gen owner 60 roll, 8th takes it all day. A 9th with a good driver in a 40 roll is diff cuz I’ve seen some 8ths not be able to pull back around.

@@Itsjustanelantra stock head doesn’t make those cams an advantage for the 9th gen, it can’t rev high enough. A fbo 9th should make 215-230whp, making it a very even race with this specific 220whp 8th in this video. With the exact same mods on an 8th and a 9th, the 8th will be faster everytime tho

Number 2 I'm wondering what exact bolt-ons that Accord had that was the second car you raced the 7th gen Because I have an 04 V6 6-speed manual coupe with the hfp Honda factory performance package And I'm full of bolt ons.... 4 inch cold air intake pre-cat deletes j pipe p2r ported intake runners p2r intake manifold spacer j37 intake manifold j37 throttle body and before I was tuned I was racing my buddies 06 RSX type S with full bolt ons and tuned almost exactly the same whp as you and was pulling on him... Now if he got a better launch then me he definitely got out on me first and second gear 3rd or 4th gear was when I would real him or most cars in that got me off the line (from a roll no chance) got home every time After the tune I definitely got him every time and I was beaten g35s 350Z de and HR kept up with 370Z till 120 Smoked 2v and 3v mustang GT bolts ons all day could keep up with a 2017 5.0 with intake and exhaust to a hundred 5th gen and older Camaro SS smoke Dodge charger and Challenger RTS and could keep up with scat packs to 100 Even beat the older 2010 Dodge charger super Bee 6.1 edition with intake header exhaust cams and ported heads But since you're such a good driver I think it would be a super good race with my daily driver hfp Accord since you know how to slam gears just like I do😂 Or my 95 Civic EX coupe that's now k24 block K20 head full bolt ons and tune nothing but two seats in a roll cage full-blown track car now The driver mod be smoking people that should be beaten us that's for sure But clean ass SI man I like it you definitely were putting in work 🤘🤘🤙🤙👌👌💯💯

Cold air intake, plm header, decat, 2.5" mandrel bent exhaust with resonator, and straight through muffler, RBC intake plenum on 91 octane revving to 8000rpm. Hard to compare on different dinos. Point is what you started with and what you ended up with is the real story. What was you total gain from stock
@@jesselee4405 total gain from stock was around 15 hp. Plm header , yonaka exhaust and hybrid cai. Javi tuned in miami. It’s a steady 80-90 degrees down here and i’m on 93. I think my engines definitely starting to show wear thought i’m at 176k. Thinking about getting new cams the. building a kfrank to go turbo

Also the cars come with .5 second delay to shift. So if your is good an the 9s not then ya u will win a van would.
