Thank you so much for providing "coaching" that inspires and provides a well planned track. At age 79 I have moved from conventional gardening on our small "farm" to a a more compact garden. Great video. I have my set up in my laundry room with 2 clamp lights over my seedlings. I also have them on a timer which is a godsend. I added a heat mat to the set up and my seedlings are doing great. I’ve got some tomatoes, peppers, herbs, eggplant,artichoke and cucumbers. That should be a great start for my spring garden😊🌻🌱

She, as so many of these channels seem to be doing, is leaving out the VERY most important number for LED bulbs at least. What is that? CRI (Colour Rendering Index). The bulb she shows has an 80 CRI which is utter shite. Probably works, but in all honesty a 90-97cri is what you need (the higher the number the more colours there are in the spectrum (even ones we can't see) so the truer the colour is). Might have a 6000K, but if half the colours are missing it works for our eyes, but for a plant it matters.
Nice looking set of nasturtiums you have there by your strawberry towers Kim! While the morning snow was light here again this morning, the sun does melt the snow within a day or so. Must be getting closer to spring and outdoor planting preparations. Happy Gardening! -Bob...

Finally got a chance to watch this! My husband Jerry is the one with the green thumb around here. He's always starting seeds...all year round!...on our patio. We don't have a good place in the house, unfortunately. I'll let him know about this "recipe" for the seed starting mix. He has all the components you use so it should be easy. We're hoping to start plants in the Community Garden soon.

I just love the gallon jug and shop light. Perfect when you just have 1 more plant to grow. After taking the husbands shop light I needed sand. Not having any I used my dried kidney beans. And just that quick a perfect grow light.

Such a great video! I ordered grow lights for much less from Temu and have been thrilled with them! With the lights, a tray with humidity dome, and a heating mat, I got sprouts within just a couple of days!! 🤩 I’ve been gardening for five years, but this is the first year I’ve tried starting seeds indoors, so I was sooo excited by my success!

Thanks for the endless ideas you share with us. I started my indoor seedlings last month and has been successful. I used 4 table top lights hooked to an extension with 4 outlets and the extension is plugged in to a timer.

I think the clamp light is my choice with the power box that has one side normal and the other side timer as it gave 3 plugs for growing seedlings indoors. We get fairly good weather to plant outside in my pots but I think it would be fun to get the next harvest started indoors and watch the seedlings break dirt....XO LUV your channel...Rozzie...Brisbane...Australia

Thanks CaliKim for a very informative video. This is my first attempt at growing indoors. I’ll be using the longer CFLs for my seedlings and plug them into smart plugs on a schedule. Wish I could automate watering as well but I guess to say I grew them I have to be involved in some capacity. Lol.
I watch rustic garden video's & used the grow light n the box designs from him too 😂😂😂 tht was cool of u to giv him a shot out....love what u r doing w the pvc, gal jugs, & the sand...def gonna use tht....👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

I use a tub but without lid. Clamp light onto side of tub. Works great. Used for several years.

Hi, love the video. I actually have the clamp light set up over my collard and kale seedlings. I have the table top grow light set on my kitchen countertop with lettuce and spinach growing. I also have the shop light set up for all my other vegetables.
