Skyrim was very good back in 2011 but by today's standards it's very outdated and kinda mediocre on many fronts. ES6 is not likely to come out before 2028. We have RPG's like Witcher 3, Cyberpunk, Dragon's Dogma 2, Elden Ring that are already massively superior to Skyrim and who know what we'll have by TES 6 comes out. If you set your expectations that low it justifies Bethesda's low effort at improving their games.

It's a shame that they canned him. I don't know much about the allegations, but from what I've heard, he was proven innocent after he was removed from the team. The exact same thing happened to the original voice actor for Jhin in League of Legends. Such a shame that such talent is foregone over allegations.
Valenwood and Elswyer wouldve been a better combined-province setting IMO. Most TES settings have taken place in a Human Province now, except Morrowind, hence that being the most trippy. I think a Summerset Isle TES game would be amazing
What i loved in Morrowind is that when you became the leader of a house,you could have bought land and create a castle,keep,houses on it in more ranks and with guards and servants

Morrowind, Oblivion and Skyrim have all been massively successful and for good reason. Hopefully Bethesda has learned from Starfield that procedurally generated worlds lack the heart and soul of handcrafted, densely detailed worlds that have made the Elder Scrolls games so replayable.
They didn't need to learn anything. Skyrim was a procedurally generated world. Who just say things without actually knowing what's going on. All of the landscape in Skyrim was procedurally generated. They then went to that landscape and added handcrafted things. There is literally nothing different between Starfield and Skyrim other than the size of it. If you don't understand what I'm talking about, conceptualize it like this. Think about if they took the one Skyrim map that exists right now and they stretched it to be the size of an entire planet. Every single point of interest would be so far from each other that you would get the same experience as Starfield. The thing that's annoying is Starfield was never meant to be played like Skyrim. So I will say the one thing you're correct about is the density. Other than that, there is nothing different between Starfield and Skyrim. The areas that do have the handcrafted stuff is just as detailed as Skyrim and those planets are just as dense. There are things about Skyrim that people don't realize like how they made it. So if you walk in any direction for 30 seconds you would run into something. Obviously that's not how Starfield works, but the amount of content is the same or more in Starfield, but it's so far apart that you feel like there's nothing to do when there's actually a lot to do. You just don't know how you're supposed to go about finding it, because again, you're not supposed to find the content like you wood in Skyrim.
I think it will release in 2028, which would be 17 years after ESV (isn't that fucking wild). They are taking so long that Skyrim Grandma probably won't be around to play it.
With this being the last game for Todd Howard I really hope he’s aiming to go out with a bang. Elder Scrolls is also the bread and butter for Bethesda. Between these two things I’m really hoping it’ll be a great game and not like recent Bethesda games

We need factions to be more important and really have the feeling when you get a better rank or leader of the faction to really counts for something and in the world
They need to move towards ROLE PLAYING like allowing you to seamlessly create any playstyle and character you want…and ignore the outdated “rpg” videogame tropes like hp numbers jumping out of enemies and finding 50 weapons that are identical but all have different stats. ES6 needs to be truly immersive and compelling.
I honestly don't know what year to say The Elder Scrolls 6 will release but i know when Fallout 5 will release that year will be 2287 the year that Fallout 4 takes place in although considering how things are in the world now the whole world might become a real nuclear wasteland before the release of The Elder Scrolls 6 and Fallout 5
I’m keeping my expectations in check for this one, and just waiting to see how Bethesda handles it before I start getting hyped. Though, I will say that I’m very excited to see TES with modern graphics.
Don't care about ES6. ESV still remains undefeated because of the mods. We learn that from how they released Starfield. ESV mods were WAAY more innovative than Starfield and these mods were running on an obsolete game engine. Starfield, while similar game engine, they have a much larger capacity.
Hope Bethesda's developers listen to the feedback online and not just the positives but also the negative feedback so that they don't end up making Elder Scrolls 6 as big and empty/boring as Starfield ended up being.

I feel one could write a faction story while not making you the pinnacle of authority in the faction Combat and other stuff Bethesda can no longer get away there mindless ___insert weapon here___ baseball ice style of combat and sidestepping archers I’m not saying I need (or want )dark souls level combat but at least something more modern your standard light and heavy attacks a block and dodge and different attack animations for each weapon type (hopefully more than Skyrim) and ai that can match that flow of combat but that wraps up what I think would bring elder scrolls to a top contender for rpg games This is more wishlist stuff I would like to be able to hit with staves and cast with them please let this be a thing and I also want a modular blacksmithing thing something like ship building but with weapons like you could change blade length and type guards and grip material type add adornments or enchantments I just think this would be dope .poison that stays on weapons for a timed duration and not just a hit (this just doesn’t make sense to me ) food ingredients that don’t heal much like 5health but cooked food can heal like 50 to like 200 health And modular clothing and armor you like head top bottom feet hands over coats and armor that can be worn over all of that just don’t do it like how they did clothing options in starfield anything is better than that the character customizations ok in starfield but it did feel quite limited in how far you could change the face base if there something deeper would be awesome but I think that’s about all

Creation Club is mostly awful, and for being "lore accurate" content, they have serious issues with staying faithful to lore, like that mod which had you preserve the Unicorns from extinction for Psijic Order, since they are "divine" beings. BRUH. They are Deadric creatures of Hircine. And they are not natural, and need not be preserved. Hircine creates them during the Great Hunt as a hardest prey to get, and biggest trophy. Few might survive in the wilds, but even if they all get hunted down, they'll just respawn at the start of the next Great Hunt. They are walking trophies, nothing more.
To be honest, i would also like to see Remakes of the first or the second game, i havent played them at all and i also dont think that i will play such old games. Morrowind is the maximum i can go for XD

I’m totally afraid of what Elder scrolls 6 turns out to be. Another Starfield? Do they still have the same group of people that gave Skyrim so much life, so much detail, and yes handcrafted. Here is the quandary Bethesda walled themselves into. A twenty plus years old game cash cow has given the playing community a game we have become so intimate, deeply imbedded with Skyrim; we will know any short cuts, Or a phoned in RPG, cost cutting pile; WE WILL KNOW! You are so right. Player built homes. I walked as you said a short ways from my newly built home and stumble on a huge dungeon with other found points of interest along the way.
Here's the thing. At the VERY least, TES6 has something that Starfield won't, even before development starts. Starfield showed the weakness of modern Bethesda, which is by far and large (at least imho) their weakness in creative and engaging writing to hold the player's attention. Starfield suffering from modern Bethesda's lack of writing skill was glaringly obvious, and unlike TES or Fallout, didn't have an entire franchise and history to fall back on to flesh out the world. Bethesda, known for world building, *failed* at building a compelling world with Starfield. TES 6 at the very least can fall back on what came before, so that players are engaged in that familiar world and history of Tamriel. Now I'm not saying that's enough to make a new game, far from it, but at the very least it starts TES 6 off WITHOUT a handicap, the massive handicap that Starfield had.
They need to make it with multiple beginnings designed around different character types and play styles. The diversity of weapons is a must. Spell making, combat combination moves, climbing, repelling, hang gliding, digging, some destructible environments, fire can burn down stuff, etc etc. So many possibilities.
if Bethesda doesn't learn from its modders, how to make interesting companions & interactions (incl. romance) & good looking gear sets,.. than maybe games like BG3, Cyberpunk & Stellar Blade will finally convince them! .... that aside, Starfield was a victim of Xbox forcing Starfields vision on to a hardware, that couldn't fulfill it (and alienated Bethesda devs in the process)

Bethesda can no longer get away there mindless ___insert weapon here___ baseball ice style of combat and sidestepping archers I’m not saying I need (or want )dark souls level combat but at least something more modern your standard light and heavy attacks a block and dodge and different attack animations for each weapon type (hopefully more than Skyrim) and ai that can match that flow of combat but that wraps up what I think would bring elder scrolls to a top contender for rpg games

I would like to be able to hit with staves and cast with them please let this be a thing and I also want a modular blacksmithing thing something like ship building but with weapons like you could change blade length and type guards and grip material type add adornments or enchantments I just think this would be dope .poison that stays on weapons for a timed duration and not just a hit (this just doesn’t make sense to me ) food ingredients that don’t heal much like 5health but cooked food can heal like 50 to like 200 health
And modular clothing and armor you like head top bottom feet hands over coats and armor that can be worn over all of that just don’t do it like how they did clothing options in starfield anything is better than that the character customizations ok in starfield but it did feel quite limited in how far you could change the face base if there something deeper would be awesome but I think that’s about all
Try Kingdom Come: Deliverance, it has very good combat, armour actually matters, it has very good world building.
In my opinion, I think procedural generation with the help of a.i. can produce something as authentic as hand crafted environments before the end of the decade

Creation Club is mostly awful, and for being "lore accurate" content, they have serious issues with staying faithful to lore, like that mod which had you preserve the Unicorns from extinction for Psijic Order, since they are "divine" beings. BRUH. They are Deadric creatures of Hircine. And they are not natural, and need not be preserved. Hircine creates them during the Great Hunt as a hardest prey to get, and biggest trophy. Few might survive in the wilds, but even if they all get hunted down, they'll just respawn at the start of the next Great Hunt. They are walking trophies, nothing more.
Also skyrim and oblivion are constant fear and horror feels so empty

I've put thousands of hours into Skyrim, Oblivion and Morrowind. Considering how Starfield turned out, this game will be trash.
To be honest, i would also like to see Remakes of the first or the second game, i havent played them at all and i also dont think that i will play such old games. Morrowind is the maximum i can go for XD

I’m totally afraid of what Elder scrolls 6 turns out to be. Another Starfield? Do they still have the same group of people that gave Skyrim so much life, so much detail, and yes handcrafted. Here is the quandary Bethesda walled themselves into. A twenty plus years old game cash cow has given the playing community a game we have become so intimate, deeply imbedded with Skyrim; we will know any short cuts, Or a phoned in RPG, cost cutting pile; WE WILL KNOW!
You are so right. Player built homes. I walked as you said a short ways from my newly built home and stumble on a huge dungeon with other found points of interest along the way.
Here's the thing. At the VERY least, TES6 has something that Starfield won't, even before development starts. Starfield showed the weakness of modern Bethesda, which is by far and large (at least imho) their weakness in creative and engaging writing to hold the player's attention. Starfield suffering from modern Bethesda's lack of writing skill was glaringly obvious, and unlike TES or Fallout, didn't have an entire franchise and history to fall back on to flesh out the world. Bethesda, known for world building, *failed* at building a compelling world with Starfield. TES 6 at the very least can fall back on what came before, so that players are engaged in that familiar world and history of Tamriel. Now I'm not saying that's enough to make a new game, far from it, but at the very least it starts TES 6 off WITHOUT a handicap, the massive handicap that Starfield had.

They need to make it with multiple beginnings designed around different character types and play styles. The diversity of weapons is a must. Spell making, combat combination moves, climbing, repelling, hang gliding, digging, some destructible environments, fire can burn down stuff, etc etc. So many possibilities.

Elder Scrolls 6 = 2026. Fallout 5 = 2029 I might live to see the next 2 of these games and thats it with the releases taking decades now.
I am disappointed they spent years putting resources into Starfield that could have been put into Elder Scrolls 6.
Let Obsidian make a TES or Fallout spinoff button---->
if Bethesda doesn't learn from its modders, how to make interesting companions & interactions (incl. romance) & good looking gear sets,.. than maybe games like BG3, Cyberpunk & Stellar Blade will finally convince them!

Starfield brought back a bunch of RPG systems they removed in fallout 4 and added new ones as well. I don't really understand this complaint. Sure you could complain about the procedural planets but... In what way were the core gameplay mechanics dumbed down? That doesn't make sense

I hope they go back to the desire to impress gamers and make Elder scrolls 6 better than Skyrim. Bring back what worked in the past with improvements. Fallout 76 is better but still not as good as fallout 4 or 3. It needs much more stories and quests.
