Try changing the project settings to anamorphic sized aspect ratio instead of using the letterbox effect is what I recommend. This would be 1920x816. If you've already started on a project and want to change it to this, make a copy of it and change it when making a copy. If you still want it to be 16x9 in the end but still have the letterbox, you can export it again from 1920x816 to 1920x1080. Hope this helps! :)

Hi, I've done everything you specified but I am not able to use your transitions Ryan, I have them in my Final Cut Pro Transitions folder, but when I drag them in between 2 clips it just shows me a red screen with a caution sign on it..... Could you help me?
Love these videos!! A problem I've been having is that when I add a transitions the edges(sides) of the video have a mirror effect, I also get black spaces between transitions when using some of your older transitions, this did not happen when I used the older version of fcp :( how can I fix that?? I tried to zoom in the video to a 100% but then I get a too zoomed in effect and cut too much of the view... HELP PLEASE!!

Hi, I have a question - how do you edit videos of such good quality on fcp x? I tried to edit a 4K video but the app was extremely laggy. I was thinking of buying a DJI Osmo but if fcp x doesn't support 4K videos then I don't want to waste my money. Any help?
Hey, 4k can be laggy especially if you have a older computer. You also need to make sure your editing from a fast external hard rive or at least have a lot of memory space on your laptop.

i wouldn't recommend doing hyper lapses in fop, the stabilisation isn't great for that! After effects is what i use
