Is a strategy making rain totems for each day?
For anyone struggling to complete the qi quest in time, if you fall short on crops at the end of the season you can sell them to pierre, wait for the season to change then buy back your crops. At which point you can casually farm qi crops with no time limit. After you have enough just accept the quest again and cash in
Yooo I wanted to have access to the seeds after the quest and this is super helpful!!

@willb5278 I unintentionally found this out about 5 months ago so unless it got patched during that time, I'm not sure : )
@@willb5278unless there is a very recent patch, it should still work, i tried it about 2-3 weeks ago and it worked!
This was the first Qi challange i accepted because it looked like it was easy, i soon learned this was a mistake 💀

It’s a great one to take in winter! It’s not actually that bad if you have seed makers and empty farming spots; exponential growth is insane

@@GeoQuagI've never done this challenge, why is it good to do in winter? Because its one of the only crops you can plant outside during wintertime?
it's mostly because you'll have all your farming space open, and won't have to worry about any other crops! hope this answers your question (:

I mean it is pretty weird because you get it by going into the spooky and barely usefull quarry cave and steal it from the awesome death statue
@cototototorra7106 yeah, but it's clearly Death's tool to harvest souls. Souls don't have much hp so it doesn't need to do much damage. Of course 😉

Pam going to the island is why I shut down the resort for everyone until I get the desert obelisk. Also since the challenge is just to see how many you can grow in 14 days, as opposed to an actual race, I would have started over and preemptively shut it down to make sure I could get to the desert on Thursday. Also idk if you have access to hyper speed-gro but if you do then you don't even need agriculturalist to have the fruit grow in only two days. Unfortunately it's impossible to grow it in only one day, though.

Sometimes its worth it to go to ginger island and shut down the resort for the next day if you need to guarantee pam or sandy will be working. That would have really advantated seanie
How do you shut down the resort? Rain totems?
GO the day before to the resort and interact with the bulletin board there
If youre doing the quest and SOMEHOW have a couple of fruits extra, you could make them into jelly (or wine but jelly sells for more) for like a couple hundred gold! The fruits in the jar disappear after the quest but I don't think the artisan stuff do. So just a "The More You Know" thing ;)

in theory, it is possible to get 6 harvests in.
if you can manage to change your profession on day one, and plant all your crops on the same day, you will get your first harvest on thursday.
on thursday, you need to buy as much delux speed grow as possible, because for each delux speedgrow you can get, you can get 5 more harvests on that tile.
even if you can only afford 100 delux speed grow, and only plant 100 of your beans day one, that is still around 3200 qi fruit at the end of the challenge.
but even if you cant manage to get all 6 harvest, by changing professions within day 2 of the challenge, you still can get 4 harvest cycles in, which will result in 1200 without aquiring any extra beans.
And this, my friens, is why understanding exponential growth is important.

I don't exactly know how much progress on the save used but I guess that there are a bunch of geode storing in chest somewhere so I would open all of them. Most of the gems from geode are higher than cracking cost and there are chance to get qi beans too

The worst thing about this isn't the bad luck.
The time management for the plan is what cost the game. If you will get crops on the same day regardless spending time to get speedgrow is literally spending time to get money to do what you were originally doing. You made it take 200 more steps.
Even without the bad luck you end up wasting a couple days.
This alone is fatal.
but all of the harvest cycles moving forward are also twice as fast (deluxe speedgrow can be used multiple times) which makes the strategy much better in the long run
@@scottishdave3269so then why not plant day 1, and put speed grow on on day 5. Your first harvest finishes at the same time and u have 2 extra days to make money, AND you aren't screwed if things go wrong.

I have never had key crops so it's news to me. Then again I've made it to the island Farm I've just never actually made it into wherever that room is with the mysterious voice which is where I'm assuming you get the quest from
End of the season? I was only given 14 days the last time I was given this challenge. I was able to harvest two days after planting each seed with the help of Deluxe Speed-Gro. I barely managed to get it done. I think I managed to find and plant something like 20 seeds on the first day, so that helped.

Only way I beat that quest was seed makers, it would have taken ages to find 500 beans 😭😭

Idk why but i only planted my qi fruits at the ginger island, and man i almkdt finished that quest.... i got 400 and some more qi fruits but it was not enough. I think it was around 426 qi fruits.

If you wanted to use fishing like really well, have the professions "Fisher" and "Angler", and the highest price fish are lava eel, ice pip, and stone fish. Other fish after that are not very worthwhile unless gold or iridium quality.
