Great vid, really love the scarf! Only problem is the extra knit to the right of the pattern. Here's a (should be) centred version of the instructions, NB: anything between * * must be repeated once before moving on. Cast on 43 stitches. Row 1: k1p1 until the end of the row, Row 2: p1k1 until the end of the row, repeat row 1 and 2 until you complete row 10 Row 11: * p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2, k8*, p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2 Row 12: k2, p2, k1, p2, k2, *p8, k2, p2, k1, p2, k2 * , repeat row 11 and 12 until you complete row 20 Row 21: *p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2, c8b*, p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2 Repeat row 12. Alternate rows 11 and 12 until you reach the end of row 38 [overall]. Then repeat pattern from row 21 again, until the desired scarf length is achieved. End with 10 alternating rows of 1 and 2. I suppose you could also cast on 45 as it says in the vid and just add a knit stitch to the finish and start of every row
Thank you for this clear video and your generous effort.I wish you will continue to share your techniques and knowledge of knitting and crochet specially all beginners like me.God Blessed you always!
This is so much easier to follow Thanks for uploading this video. I had trouble with the older one you made. It was good but this is great! Thanks so much.
Ok, so I cast on 45 stitches + my first anchoring loop is technically 46 stitches. When I get to row 11, I complete one round then a second from the " to the " but still have some stitches left. Do I start again from the beginning of row 11 or from the repeat part? Ive done this like 6 times and it never works out for me 😢
Thank you so much for the tutorial. I was looking for the best tutorial for cables and after watching this I’m going to make my first cabled scarf. Could you please tell me how many more stitches are needed to be added if I want to make more cables? Thanks again ❤️
Pattern is not centered. Looking at the "right side" there two extra stitches on the right edge. I wish I had known before starting project. Otherwise, it's a pretty design and easy to follow tutorial.
Okay so I wanted to make a scarf, I screen recorded this video and didn’t record on how many stitches to add and I saw the comment under me and casted 43 but it was 45 and now I’m in row 12 and have to redo 😭😭
@queenfopsie5442 lmao I made this scarf 5 years ago when I was like in 6th grade I was 11 I think. And don't even remember about the thing I commented. I made this scarf halfway and didn't continue it no more, but nice practice it was 😂 I still have it in my closet.
One thing to add would be when you're doing row 21 for the second time you'be not said where to keep the four stiches you took off - do you keep them in the front or behind? how do you get the cable to cross alternatively. do you alternate with moving it behind and in front.
Hi . I guess you meant the four stitches of C8B right? If so , since it's C8B which stands for "cable 8 back " you will always keep the first four stitches in the back .
I don't know if this is the problem but I found myself going into the c2f stitch and forgetting to move my yarn to the back after doing the 2 purls. This was creating a yo stitch which would add stitches.
Thank you for leaving written instructions up long enough to read. This is a very clearly done video. I'm using this tutorial to learn to do cables.
You did a tremendous job! Easy to understand and just the right speed. I’m a beginner and I just want to dive right into this project! 😊 thank you!
I just started the scarf 2 days ago. Thank you so much for such an easy to follow tutorial. It will match perfect with my cable "tuque". :)
Great vid, really love the scarf! Only problem is the extra knit to the right of the pattern. Here's a (should be) centred version of the instructions,
NB: anything between * * must be repeated once before moving on.
Cast on 43 stitches.
Row 1: k1p1 until the end of the row,
Row 2: p1k1 until the end of the row,
repeat row 1 and 2 until you complete row 10
Row 11: * p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2, k8*, p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2
Row 12: k2, p2, k1, p2, k2, *p8, k2, p2, k1, p2, k2 * ,
repeat row 11 and 12 until you complete row 20
Row 21: *p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2, c8b*, p2, c2f, p1, c2f, p2
Repeat row 12.
Wouldnt you alternate rows 21 and 12 for the main portion for the scarf?
Love your grumpy tuxedo kitty!
So we cast on 43 and not 45 stitches?
I think she's slipping the first stitch
Thank you!

Thanks for teaching us to make such a beautiful project!!
I've casted 52 stitches with bulk yarn, so what should be my stitch knitting calculations?
Loved this remake of first video 🙂hopefully one day I’ll learn to knit like you 😊
It's very clear and excellent demo for the beginners. Thanks

Hi Smart Sheep! What size yarn and needles should we use? Thank you;))
Video is Beautifully made and clearly explained with all patience
What yarn do you use? I’m looking for better brands than I have because I don’t know where to look. Do you have any recommendations?
What kind of yarn and what size needles should we use?
looks like uk4 and double knitting wool
Could you tell me what size needles you are using? Thanks!
You don't give us a written pattern?
How many are you supposed to cast on? I couldn't see that it specifies...
Thank you so much for this tutorial, I'm a beginner and it's easy for me to understand
Did you write out the pattern somewhere?
Pattern is not centered. Looking at the "right side" there two extra stitches on the right edge. I wish I had known before starting project. Otherwise, it's a pretty design and easy to follow tutorial.
How do you pick up a dropped RT stitch?
How do you make the backside look like the front?
Can this be done with a cable needle?
this is much clearer, thank you so much!
Okay messed up the left side. My own fault. But I'm like 30 something rows in. Imma just roll with it.
Thankyou so much. This video is excellent,I just saw your remake.I am just learning and can follow this one 👍👍👍👍
Okay so I wanted to make a scarf, I screen recorded this video and didn’t record on how many stitches to add and I saw the comment under me and casted 43 but it was 45 and now I’m in row 12 and have to redo 😭😭

Dear Smart Sheep, this Scarf has one or two sides of cable? Tks

몇 코이죵?
tried this pattern, missing info.
Hi . Could you tell me where the missing information is ?
try it yourself, you'll end up with left over stitches.
Hmm Do you remember which row it is ?
I don't know if this is the problem but I found myself going into the c2f stitch and forgetting to move my yarn to the back after doing the 2 purls. This was creating a yo stitch which would add stitches.
Hey, i had the same problem. I had 4 stiches left on the row 11. I should repeat p2 and k8, on that row, right? or, everyting in the quotations?
