    Nobody wants to find themselves in this situation...
    You're out alone on a quick morning trip to wet a line without any expectations of catching a monster, just looking for a nice, relaxing fishing trip.
    Then, all of a sudden, your rod doubles over!!
    It's nearly ripped out of your hands as your drag is screaming and line is peeled off your reel.
    After a few minutes, you finally reel in a big beautiful redfish - definitely new personal best!
    But you've got no measuring tape on board!
    How big is it?
    You'll never know!
    Whenever people as what your PB redfish is, you'll always be stuck saying, "Oh jeeze, I dunno, but she was big!"
    That's why I like the Quik Measure Pro.
    It's a ruler that's always on my rod so I never have to wonder how big a fish is.
    It'll also help you follow the law so you never accidentally harvest a fish that's out of the legal limit.
    In this video, you'll see exactly what the Quik Measure Pro is, as well as how to put it on your rod.
    Have any questions about the Quik Measure Pro?
    Let me know down in the comments.

    I have two dots of white out on my rods, between 28" and 32". Slot sized snook lol. This is far more refined!

    This is a great idea Tony! I wonder if a rod manufacturer has ever printed a ruler onto a rod that they sell commercially.

    Question: wouldnt tape along the rod cause some sort of rod flex abnormalities?
    I guess the tape would stretch before the rod takes any damage, but it would still create some tension along the outer arch when in full flex.

      Great question @MelO! Our transparent rod ruler decals have virtually zero impact on the action of fishing rods. They are flexible and only as thick as a few pieces of paper, yet the USA made waterproof adhesives help them stay in place in the harshest environments. We've yet to hear from a single fishermen they felt any difference in tension along the outer arch of a rod, so hope that answers your questions! That' a cool little mod for the lake, river or surf anglers that don't have a ruler on their boat.

    So if u have a hook keeper do u start from the hook keeper ?

    • @quikmeasurepro
      @quikmeasurepro 3 роки тому

      You could absolutely start from the hook keeper if that'd be easier on your rod. Another tip we recommend is utilizing a visual/physical landmark on your surface to make it even easier every time you measure. A hook keeper could work great for this. Thank you Michael for your question!

    Do you sell this in white numbers and also with Black numbers? this is exactly what I'm looking for when I build a Custom Rod.

    • @quikmeasurepro
      @quikmeasurepro 3 роки тому +1

      Our rulers will contrast on all rod colors due to their markings having white numbers with a black outline around each number, so they should be a fit no matter the surface color you are applying them to. If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to contact us directly. We'd love to see photos of your custom rods with our rulers on them! Frank, we appreciate the feedback. Cutting the tape in half at the beginning of the video isn't absolutely vital to a successful installation, just a way to help keep the 2nd ruler that much safer for a potential future installation if you may not be installing it that same moment so you don't lose it.

    Sorry but $14 is way overpriced for something like that... I would much rather buy the $1 retractable tape from the tackle shop that I can easily fit inside my pocket

      Appreciate the feedback Toe Knee. While our rulers may not be for everyone, they do come in a two-pack, are quality made by our family here in the USA, and help ensure you're never caught without a ruler again or forget a tape measure at home, likely for years to come. So for $1 or $2 a year to have a handy way to measure fish in seconds and give a healthy release or keep, we feel it's worth it. We too love the retractable tapes for girth measurements and more. We also love the ability for quick measurements with the rigid ruler we already have in our hand and one less thing to have to pack in our pockets or tackle boxes for our fishing trips. God Bless!
