I've caught plenty of nice flatty's under that bridge next to Beach Marina in Jax beach. I live on the intercoastal 5 min away from Sebastian Inlet, and the flounder bite was been way off for the last two years... been fishing there since the early eighty's and always got my bag limit, and a couple of ten pounders, but not at all the last two seasons... SOMETHING IS WRONG AT SEBASTIAN INLET.
That is interesting for sure! I wonder what could be causing that? Have you noticed any changes in the bait source or the quantity of it? I would be curious to know if there is something that has caused the fish to stage elsewhere all of the sudden. Any theories?
I fish for flounder and striper and on my flounder setup I use 20 pound mainline to 20 pound leader and for striper 30 pound main to 50 pound leader would you use braid to leader knots? If yes which knot? Or tie to a swivel?
@_N4te_ I like using a line to leader knot. One of my favorites is the FG as it's the strongest when tied properly. The double uni is another good knot, but a bit easier to tie. 💪 Hope that helps! 🤘😎
Good video, next time perhaps include yourself casting and showing your personal technique while attempting to hit the bottom constantly. Thanks for the info!
Thanks for the suggestion! We have some videos on the best retrieval methods for flounder that go into that topic a bit more in detail. Check some of those out! Thanks for watching!

@@mattinayak I usually use fg but you can’t use it unless you have a stronger leader than your mainline
@@_N4te_ That can be true. In those instances, a double uni can work for you. 💪
