I'm doing a new more in-depth 3 part series just like this! Watch part 1: ua-cam.com/video/yCRutVbWd98/v-deo.html
Sweet!
I found your videos a few months ago, I had just gotten the Akai mini 3.
While I've been making music for some time now, your videos have been quite inspiring, leading me into some new, fun and uncharted territory.
I've been enjoying it quite a bit, thank you Taetro.
Just wondering what is the main equipment you use?
Nice presentation!
Do you have a video explaining quantization? You mentioned it at 15:04 and I was wondering how you quantize and what exactly it does. Thank you and sick videos, btw.
I’ve been recently trying to make beats and idk if I’m any good. someone have a look?
I'm gonna a be blunt...this shitright here is what makes a great instructor. Like I said about the circuit video, this video shows us the human side of you. Not to say we think negatively but this is gives us hope in the sense that while we struggle [regardless of our level in producing] some people can watch this thinking to ourselves "oh ok he doesn't just have it all figured out, he looks for it all" so thank you, man.please make more videos like this.
💯 word
So chilled too. most relaxing tutorial ever.
VERY GOOD POINT. I'VE BEEN A MUSICIAN FOR MOST OF MY 60 YEARS. I'M NEW TO THIS MAKING BEAT STUFF, AND LOVING THE IDEA OF DOING THAT AND INCORPORATING THAT POSSIBILITY INTO MY MUSIC.
Inspiring 🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌🙌
I guess he doesn’t check a video’s comments more than once…? Because personally, I AGREE 100% with this along with 600+ other people and I think it would’ve been great for him to read… this is how his viewers feel about him and it’s rare. Great channel!
My man's here has the generosity to share his raw and uncut beat making and music producing process. Huge thanks to him and don't forget to subscribe and like the video
Appreciate you neaman!
I agree. Everybody has a process but some don't even know where to start or get stuck etc. Seeing this in how you create will open a lot of door and a lot of hope in music creation. It's a process that's not perfect... it's trial and error into getting those sounds to work together. Taetro.. you are doing a service to many!!! Great stuff!!
this has to be one of the best "production process" type videos I've come across, thanks so much!
Appreciate it Carson!
I’m going to have to agree with you @carson Schafer
ua-cam.com/video/Zo7hWkjzsvo/v-deo.html
I agree
Pardon me but before I lay out my question/argument, I want to say that English is not my 1st language.
So my question is, is "one of the best" a correct statement?
Because best means there is no one better than you, eg; he/she is the best.
So, when people say "one of the best" how can that be? Because best can only be "one"
Shouldn't it be "one of the better"?
"If i where the beat, how would i wanna be structured" Now that is how you think when you're arranging a beat
:#:98
Honestly the sheer number of buttons and options scare me in these softwares. Your video really helped me to start thinking about my workflow and whats available to me in the music making process. Thanks Taetro!
I appreciate that thank you Stephanie!!! Keep making stuff and don’t get intimidated. It can always get broken down!
true
the feeling of having infinite choices and trying to find the perfect choice out of all of them makes me doubt everything, overthink, makes me kinda anxious and all of that slows my process down
For the Creator and all of those watching, a piece of advice.
if you're working with the laptop, absolutely have an external keyboard, and put the laptop up so the top of the screen is level with your eyeline.
with the laptop in this position, you don't even have to think about sitting up more straight, you just do it more naturally.
Some mild benefits include getting to use an actual comfortable keyboard and less wear and tear on your laptop.
I thought it was instructive to see not just the progress, but also the stalling: looking for sounds & riffs, discarding what doesn't work etc.
I’m glad. Thanks Paul!
I feel like this is really going to change the way I create music. So far I've mostly been starting with looking for the right sounds instead of the right parts/themes, which made me frustrated very easily. Definitely going to try your approach!
I am literraly similar to you!
i love the darker lighting to this vid
thanks Max :)
This sort of breakdown is invaluable for someone like me just starting out and completely overwhelmed. Thank you bro.
Honestly bro, this is incredibly inspiring. To see you go through your imperfect natural process, gives me the hope I need, to persist with my passion of making music...Thank you so much.
Haven't subbed harder in my life. The music is bomb, his voice is soothing, and his description of his process is fantastic.
This is like the holy grail of beat making videos, so concise and well paced, and under half an hour. I'm subbed, and I'm getting a Minilab with analogue lab lite!
Well done bro. Sometimes when I'm about to start a song I'm overthinking the amount of work that is in front of me but thanks to your video I remembered that if I approach it step by step it's gonna be ok
thanks Dennis - so stoked you enjoyed the video. keep making music
this is pure gold. it's so useful for people who are learning about music production. and i love learning about other people's creative process. thank you for this!
I just commented on your review of this and just suggested a video like this because you are very gifted at teaching these topics and playing and inventing new music. Thanks. You just helped make my life easier!
This helped me a lot and honestly didn't know where to start since I haven''t had a sesh in a while. You reminded me to start with one thing at a time. I took your approach and began with playing around with some chords and within the next two days I have a full beat to work with. Appreciate you TAETRO!
This video is gold! I'm just now getting into music production, and this gave me so many ideas for how to build tracks!
Super genuine and engaging. Seeing your process gave me tons of ideas and a good dose of much-needed inspiration. Please keep it up!
I’m so new to music production that I’m still rocking the trial for Ableton Suite! And while I’m learning a lot about the way this DAW works in tutorial videos, which has been helpful, I’m often still left feeling like “okay, I know how to trigger this or activate that, but how do I really put it all to good use?” But this video has already given me a few of those “ah-ha!” moments where I’m seeing things click. It seems watching someone simply use a piece of software or hardware in the way they normally would can be infinitely more helpful than watching tutorial videos sometimes. So I’d love to see more videos like this.
Inspiring stuff my guy. One of the best production videos i've seen in a while, got me motivated to get back in the studio after having beat block so thanks g
honestly, more than i hoped to learn, the best video in youtube so far, keep up the great work, and thank you very much!
Almost all people who make music production videos just explain what gear we must buy
But they never explain how to get started with gear
This video is amazing
thanks so much! gonna make a series like this
This motivated me to get creating. Thanks! And yes, more like this.
how is to going with creating?
I loved this video so much! Please keep making some like this, I’d watch these religiously
Honestly, I say this is what I have been looking around UA-cam.
It recommended it today.....
While other videos are just making us feel inferior, and they are talented.
Thanks a lot❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just found out about you through this video today. You are by far one of the best producer UA-camr. You’ve got really good quality visually and in terms of knowledge
I love this groove. I was dancing to the whole thing. Thanks.
this is such an awesome video. i've learned so much just listening to you explaining what you're doing & why. i would *love* you to do more of these. super inspiring and really helpful to those of us who are still learning. thank you :)
I just started out making music and working with Ableton and this video was unbelievably helpful. I don't really know anything about music or music theory but just seeing the thought process was eye-opening. For example the way you layered your sounds by thinking about how low and high they are so they don't clash would have never occured to me on my own. Please make more videos like this and keep up the good work
I actually literally just posted one! ua-cam.com/video/LQXi7tqrNIY/v-deo.html
@@Taetro damn amazing timing 🙏❤️ still gotta study tho before I can make more music 😭
Thank you so much! I'm a total beginner and this was so helpful in seeing an actual workflow with well thought out commentary along the way so that I knew what you were doing. This helps me think about my own workflow and some considerations about where I can begin to put my focus. Thanks again!
Cool to see your whole process and how you think about building something up! Thanks, man.
Thank you for this content! You really showed here how human it is to create music. Some creators out there would put it out like everything seemed like magic, and all just talent. But this content shows how hardwork is also very important in the process and all the struggles and frustrations musicians go through, and this shows how you overcome the plateau. Many many thanks!
I appreciate that! Thank you Migz - I'm gonna make another one soon
This beat makes me feel so good.
This is EXACTLY the process I follow. It's interesting to watch. Very informative. And always reassuring to see that it is a process that takes time. It doesnt all just come together.
So glad I found this video and love this teaching process you used! 👍🏽
This was a true learning experience. Thanks, TAETRO!
Love the aesthetic and the basic setup leaves no room for excuses !
Thanks for making videos like this! I'm just getting started in beat making and I really didn't know how to structure my process, but this video gave me new insights.
This is literally the most helpful music production/beat making video, bless you!!!
appreciate it Neo!
We need more videos like this. This is all we need
Thank you so much for sharing this! I’ve been toying with the idea of entering music production for a while now and watching such a linear and honest video has really given me the confidence that it’s something I can achieve! Thank you!
Your videos are so straight forward and honest, this was great to watch, thank you for letting us in on your process.
thanks Regina!!
This video was fantastic...I shared it as well. So refreshing to have videos for novice viewers and everyone all the way up the chain. Please make more. I bought a midi for my son based off of your other vids but you are inspiring me to get this set up for my oneself. Thank you. Mega Value
Thank you Taetro! This was very inspiring video. Its nice to see whole beat making process, exspecially beat arreigment👍🏻
Thank you very very very much for this content on your channel. Your videos are really helpful! World NEEDS people like you who are willing to share and help . Bless you dude!
I bought an Arturia Minilab several years ago, but have had a hard time playin the instrument. This video gave me an very good introduction to how I can make music. Thanks.
Great video. I've seen lots of music production tutorials and this is one the best for sure
Incredibly helpful and inspired man. Thanks for putting this together.
I’m a recording artist and songwriter, and I also make vocal samples. I’m learning music production and this is really helping and entertaining. This is so awesome 😄
When I'm creating my own comps and mess up a lot, I'll think of your mistakes and keep going. Thanks for sharing!
This was huge. It validates some of the things I was trying and gives me new Ideas on how to approach my own music. Thanks!
Watching this before I get back into the studio and arrangement a track! This is giving me the inspiration to start another track!
So great bro. Allow me to use it as a sound track.
This is exactly what I needed. So glad I found your channel!
love your content bruh !! even the visuals aree amazing, keep it up youre so inspiring
This video method, showing the step by step in an unpolished way is exactly what I have been looking for. Thank you big time.
Wow! This is the exact process to making beats laid out perfectly and simply. If y'all are thinking of getting into this pay attention☝️
Now this, this is on a whole other level of beat making process videos
This seems so calming....I’ve been trying to learn more about music production because I want to become a music producer when I’m older. A lot of people I’ve told thinks it’s a unrealistic dream but it’s something I really really want to do when I’m older. Anyways, this video helped quite a bit of the process. Of course I’m sure for everyone the process is different but still.
this is super relaxing to watch✨
Throughout the video, this track gave me retro, lo-fi, old school sometimes and just generally good vibes. really liked it:)
I’m not familiar with music making at all but recently I found myself interested in it so this video was very helpful even for not even a beginner like me! listening to your explanation and seeing how u try so many times to find just the right thing made beat making seem not easy but at least understandable and something possible with patience and mistakes. thank u very much!
Crazy helpful. Yeah, I’d love more of these for sure!
This is awesome cuz this has pretty much been my organic process I’ve grown into along this music production journey over the past year (though I use Logic Pro X). Awesome video, bro, much gratitude to you! 💪🏿💪🏿🎹🎧🙏🏿💫
Great example of how work flow can be a big factor in creating music
Got my minilab mk2 yesterday and Im having so much fun! I'll finally learn ableton.
Thank you for showing the application of the midi keyboard. Most reviews list off specs and features but this review is great cause it shows the actual application
It's my fourth time watching it...yet I feel like there's a lot to learn. You're amazing taetro. It's the best music production video I've come across
I appreciate you bhavesh!!
How much time do u have
@@amritkalsi7593 a lot
Super dope and helpful content here. You do a great job of laying out the info & the process
oh, man, this helps a lot, i thought i was going SLOW as a producer, but i see you don't work at some magical super pace that is unachievable by a pleb mortal like myself. it's great that you let it all 'hang' like this. thank you, you've given this old EDM producer hope
Speed just comes with familiarity and repetition. Who knows his real pace when he’s inspired, restful, happy etc but all greats are really just like us. We all have to start small to get big.
i know what you mean by speed. watching Alex Lustig's beat sessions in FL studio kinda boggle my mind.
So helpful!!!! All tutorial videos were getting to be the same thing or no help at all. You always find a way to make your content interesting, that’s what makes you stand out. Thank you!
been dying for a clear process video just like THIS, since i know everything to get started.
But i didnt have my roadmap. Created a bunch of tracks, just hit or miss most of the time.
With this, i'll finally get started for real.
my eyes got blessed right after watched this frfr !!!
I would love to see more videos like this one. Awesome. I love it.
Yes! I was waiting for this!
Finally. Thanks, Taetro. Good stuff.
Super helpful to watch, thanks for the upload man!
Great video! As a beginner this is massively helpful! Keep them coming Taetro!
awesome. will do! thank you Isaac!
Great vid! I have composed classical and pop and everything in between, and I am starting to look at beats. This tutorial is awesome , because you show the process and thinking, not just the setting. Keep making great videos!
thank you tony!
Taetro, you're without a doubt the best instructor in this damn universe!
Just got my mini mk2 and ableton man you’ve been a big help
I like how this video is very detail & it’s not rushed. You really took your time wish was very helpful, thanks for dropping knowledge💯definitely sucribed
Thanks so much for making this video!!! It’s really helped me a lot!
You really took us through your mind, it is just amazing Bro!
Thanks for doing this. Very helpful
Hey, that was a cool video also I loved your setup. Thanks for sharing your workflow with us. God bless you and your family abundantly always.
This helped me knowing more about the creative process in music
This is a great video for someone trying to get started but feeling overwhelmed, like me. Nice breakdown, and good inspiration. Makes me want to go to my computer and start a beat. Thank you.
Wow beautiful thanks for sharing . I'm new to your channel but the process has helped me so much .
Listening to that made us get up and dance and exercise! Nice!
i love that examples presentations, it make it clear
Thanks dude, I found you on Instagram originally. You have really gave me a better idea about sound design.
Extremely helpful stuff, thank you for this video!!
Very kool, ty Taetro
Absolutely fantastic i learned more here than in the last week.

i feel like this is exactly what i needed
