Today we're finally putting some time into our greenhouse. We built it 7 years ago and it's seen a lot of use so it’s time to show it some love. Dan did a bunch of work to the building itself while I got it cleaned up and moved out hundreds of seedling. I had some very sad tomatoes that needed to be potted up so I made some paper pots, which I show you how to do, and get them into some fresh soil. I hope you enjoy coming along with us today.

This has been a HUGE help to me! I have a super drafty greenhouse that I wasn't able to utilize like I wanted and now I'm going to line it with greenhouse plastic on the inside and shore it up with furring strips as well as getting a greenhouse heater shipping from Amazon as I write this. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences and knowledge with us on gardening, cooking, and animal care.

I planted three tomato plants out in the garden this afternoon and put Wall O’ Water protectors around them. I’m in zone 6, last frost is around My 15. I bought them because I decided not to grow seedlings this year, as we have our 2 year old grandson living with us and he is busy! It wasn’t worth the fight for me and the disappointment when the plants got all dumped. I’m excited for all your happy little seedlings, though!
I have to let you know I had a lung biopsy a couple weeks ago and it came back negative for malignancy! Yay! Praise the Lord! I thought for sure my renal cancer I had 3 years ago had come back, but the Lord was merciful to me.

Smiled knowingly when you greeted your potted up seedlings. 😊
Dan’s greenhouse transformation! My word! Isn’t he a darling!
I too potted up dreary looking tomatoes today. But skipped a step and transplanted 15 straight into their undercover forever homes. 😬 Having surgery next week so I’m giving them the opportunity to thrive without my parenting issues for the duration 😃.
Maybe put a bowl of water on the shelves in your grow room to provide moisture that the seedlings could absorb atmospherically.
Wonder how much we save growing our own garden starts… must be 100s x 💵

Please tell me there will be no water pooling up on the floor of the seed room - just so I can sleep easier tonight with your electric cords on the ground. I'm definitely going to use your pot idea. I've heard that all inks used now days for newspapers - don't use lead in the ink so it is safe for plants and people. Same as pencils that people still call lead pencils even though it has been many, many years since lead was used in them. It's unbelievable that we lived through those past generations. I remember playing the the lead bricks my Dad kept in the garage. It was fun to use sharp sticks and dig into them - or fingernails. Yikes, how am I still alive? Now that I think about it, I used to attach lead sinkers onto the line by biting them closed!
