  • We are moving on to the Hand Tools by Horotec and the Tweezers by Dumont. Both Swiss companies and known for their high-quality watchmaking tools. I am trying to break these videos into common tools, so this one will feature my selection of 9 different Dumont Watchmaking Tweezers and what they are specifically used for, and why I choose them. I will also share the Horotec Hand Tools. From Hand levers to Hand Presses, when it comes to removing hands and putting them back on with care.
I would love to hear from you below about my choices.
Here is an easy way to purchase anything you saw in my videos. It is an Amazon Affiliate link that helps support the channel. Thanks for using them.

Thank you so much for this offer. Honestly I haven’t felt to welcomed by other watchmakers yet. That is until now. I appreciate you.

      @@WatchOverhaulin everyone has their start.
Watchmakers like myself who are trained traditionally have a little bit of vitriol towards hobbyists turned pro watchmakers. I think it’s BS who cares. If you love it keep going at it.

Very nice thumbnails by the way! I like how you blur the pictures’ peripheries to help one focus on the subject of interest. Keep up the good work!

First. :D I am excited you're talking about Horotec tools as I always wondered in what tool categories one would prefer them over Bergeon.

Yeah, Horotec seems to have some really lovely stuff. I am sure I will pick up more of their items in the future.

@Paul Breeden no I didn’t get any… yet. What’s the benefits of brass tweezers anyway?

@Paul Breeden That is super interesting. I always thought Bergeon is the industry standard for every category they put out tools in. I'll have to look into Horotec! It's honestly hard to imagine that lovely Bergeon screwdriver 'carousel' improved on.

Great video series. Best of luck with your Watchmaking journey. I have also started mine and have adquired some tools on my own. I'm just having a hard time finding either Horotec's or Bergeon's hand levers as all the available options in my local area (Amazon included) are the Presto tools. I guess I will have to order them from eBay and wait for them like 6 weeks.

Glad to see more tools, have you serviced a movement yet? I ask, because I’ve found I needed this tool or that, mid repair, which makes the tool rabbit hole go much much deeper. Also, you’ll need like eleventeen of those clothes (and I’ll suggest some Zeiss lens wipes for many things)
As for the tweezers: I too have all the Dumont you have, and I’m curious which you’ve used the most? I ask because I have 18 different pair, and use 3 like 99% of the time. Also, why no brass? Or did I not see them? That tweezer stand/rack is dope too.
