Fark dude, I'm going to try my best to make you feel better by telling a similar, short version of a long story. Basically, I spent the entire year looking forward and organising a Fraser Island trip. I decided it'd be a good idea to freshen up my old land rover to make it happy again (it's got 470 thousand km on it). I ordered everything months in advance, pulled the engine, and did the usual things, no rebuild, just water pump, clutch, cooling hoses, etc. I found extras and things like incorrect drive belts costing precious time. I pulled a few 20-hour day/night sessions after finding the balancer was split, and I couldn't get my hands on one. I ended up repairing it with a polyurethane meant for something else, and all started first hit of the key. I throw my pooch in the back seat to go for a test drive and make sure it's fine. It went completely fine, all sweet. Following morning is the 2am start to join the convoy and get the barge. It starts, develops a misfire, and then had nothing. I spent the next two days trying to make it happen but couldn't figure it out in time. I miss the trip all together because the spacer between the crank sensor and bell housing had disappeared. It hurts, I feel your pain.

Still working through it but feeling like it will have a sad ending. Edit -finished. Poor Scott. He tries so hard. 😢. But I have to say I love that you show how things really are. 👍👍👍
Atleast the torque convertor is lost with Australia Post. If it was lost with Startrack you'd have no chance.
At least your head looks better mate! 🥴 Did the converter turn up ever? 🤔
Scotty answered this before like this...'We ended up getting it first day of Drag Challenge'
Move over George Clooney…. That haircut alone is gunna double the female viewers. Bit sucky about not getting either car to drag challenge, but it just makes the suspense even greater as we wait for the completion of these two beasts.
You doing alright Scottie. Amateur...well if was a steel bell was on the table and a you're applying a deep cut climb milling, well then the "amateur" factor will coming out in grand fashion . Possibly watch your job jump and crash into the quill/spindle and make nice loud screeching, grinding, metallic noises, lol. Welcome to the world of machine tools Scott!!
Can take both next year
Surely you’d whack a brand new starter in while the manifold is off?!? 😬
Budgets are tight
@@STREETMACHINETV time will be tight if you’re at the track and you have pull the intake just to do a starter… 😂
Gota be quickist lexon getten around.
Quickest we've seen is 8.0 down the quarter, so there are quicker ones out there
