I love how the load warp has made it into basically all of Bethesda's games. It's one of my favorite glitches conceptually and it's a treat to see it and explain it to a new friend every time an event showcases it.
@@AnonymousBystander86 Not really, since "any%" means "reaching the end as fast as possible no matter what". No category that reaches the end (Alduin's death) can be faster than any%.
For someone who hasn't played this game, I'm astounded as to how genius one has to be to break it in such a fantastic fashion. I don't even understand what the heck is going on but I'm transfixed. Listening to the panel describing the action and what is happening is still engaging for a plebe like myself. Kudos to these runners.
I don't particularly follow speedruns in general, but once every year or so, I like to search for Skyrim GDQ to see the fun new ways people have found to break and exploit it.
tip for the duplication dragonsbane bug, i have noticed that if you quick save and start mashing the button during saving is much easier, without even trying i got 4 copies.
They are actually needed. You used to need one to clip through a wall at the Thalmor Embassy and you still need one to get into High Hrothgar, as showcased in the run (though not really explained)
Yes you need them, because basically you run into the wall. Usually nothing would happen but a collision. But with the bucket inbetween you and the wall your body somehow clips past the wall and you can run through it.
So, I know this run is some years old, things have probably changed, but why would Dawnstar be useful for its vendor and crafting station when other cities have those too? For example Eorlund and his crafting stations are right next to the castle fast-travel point in Whiterun.
since oblivion and skyrim came out, i had never been able to complete the game as i was engaged in modding community, now i can actually see skyrim been done.
I have managed to bucketclip through that gate on the tower, through the door. It's temperamental for me, not sure if it would be better with training (Bet it is).
there are tutorials for it on yt. basically you press forward [W] and sprint [shift] as you press QS (i have it on F1), and then press QL (F2) while letting go of sprint and keep running. if it won't work just look for the tutorials who show it in detail

Thanks for having me at SGDQ! Was a blast!
It's a blast watching this! I sunk a good six months of my life into this game and am nowhere near seeing an ending.
The last glitch gave me nightmares, thanks for that.
Real talk, great runs, very entertaining
Thanks for the run!
Awesome run dude! May the bucket be with you.
Hey, you. You’re finally awake.
*kills Alduin in 1/2 an hour*
talk about being a born legend
See that mountain? You can climb it.
or, u know, clip under it..

Using the same engine for over 20 years cause glitches to migrate to all titles, classic Bethesda stuff
"It just works."
It's cool to see how far the run has come. The 2016 run by DrTChops was almost ten minutes longer.
DrTChops' run was Any%, so the category difference may have an effect?
@@AnonymousBystander86 no, it was the same category, "main quest" is just more of an accurate way of putting it
@@AnonymousBystander86 Not really, since "any%" means "reaching the end as fast as possible no matter what". No category that reaches the end (Alduin's death) can be faster than any%.
@@AnonymousBystander86 Any % is the main quest though

Watching this after the GDQ 2016 run is insane - 10 minutes faster already.
5:35 "With this you can pretty much go anywhere"
Skyrim screen: "You cannot go that way"
25:00 "no tgm necessary" THROWING SOME SHADE
RIP bucket clip, gone but not forgotten.
Thirty-seven minutes and twenty-four seconds?!? I have over 800 hours in this game and I don''t think I've even completed the main story line yet.
@@elitebelt I heard something about some big dragon? Anduin?
Ben Kennett 800 HOURS
God i want ur caracter my guy only has 40 hours
I know what you.mean, I have three characters with over 400 hours
@@shigekisun3922 No no, it's about the Oblivion gates. You're thinking of Morrowind.
We need to see the most difficult speedrun ever
Skyrim Glitchess
That's impossible even casually :)
Glitchless runs already exist
purposeful glitches*
Matt G already is a thing thinks its about 17 hours
@@zolniu completely glitchless in a Bethesda game seems impossible
it just works
Sometimes...
Great run this is one of my favorite games I want to run it eventually
I don't particularly follow speedruns in general, but once every year or so, I like to search for Skyrim GDQ to see the fun new ways people have found to break and exploit it.
Skyrim seems like a ridiculous game to speedrun since even the broken stuff is so broken that it's unpredictable
>Vendor glitch allows you to sell a vendor's inventory back to them
>makes perfect sense
To quote Sir Toddington of the Howard, "It just works."
Bucket %
great run, great comentary from the couch !
great run
25:20 Paarthurnax shouts Warp Whistle
I don't even like gaming (Im NO good) but I watch this stuff and really enjoy it!
You don't have to be good to enjoy something :p
There's a big variety of games about, I'm sure there's some you'd like.
1:14 - "jumping while sprinting which you are not able to do without using this glitch"
I even forgot that I'm using a mod for that
I've 800 hours in Skyrim and I've no idea what is happening in this video.
Its abusing the fuck out of glitches to skip chunks of the game :D
Does this work in other ports? Also I've got the Benny Hill theme in my head
Was them saying they found the marriage fail thing a week ago just a meme or what? I've seen that in a bunch of runs for years.
They found a quicker way to do it so you can do it at the actual throat of the world now instead of having to actually go to the temple and fail it.
@@nedstrange8078 That makes sense then. I didnt even remember that they went back to the temple in the old runs til I actually thought about it.
FINALLY!!! HYPE! 🎮

*Gone in a little less than 40 minutes*
Skyrim speedrun always has the best commentary
Never clicked a video this fast in my life!
So I really have no idea.... are the buckets something that's actually needed or is it just a running joke? I realize thats probably a dumb question
They are actually needed. You used to need one to clip through a wall at the Thalmor Embassy and you still need one to get into High Hrothgar, as showcased in the run (though not really explained)
both :D

smashgordon I think they used to hold the buckets and use them to jump on/clip out of bounds
Yeah, they're needed.
The lack of applause is so weird, ive seen people aplaud all the time for much less impressive and less funny runners. This guy was great
So, I know this run is some years old, things have probably changed, but why would Dawnstar be useful for its vendor and crafting station when other cities have those too? For example Eorlund and his crafting stations are right next to the castle fast-travel point in Whiterun.
Not a fan of Skyrim but this runner and his couch had me loving this stream. Great job!
honestly it's just a shame the audience is so dead. some of the stuff they said was funny, but the silence after made it just unbearable lmaoooo
It just works.... 10 secs later it just doesn't work XD
This is nice
It just works
since oblivion and skyrim came out, i had never been able to complete the game as i was engaged in modding community, now i can actually see skyrim been done.
Great commentary and speed run. Question, do these glitches work on all systems or only on the computer?
BabaYaga Rock the most likely are cuz im on console but its VERY hard
How are everyones knees?
I have managed to bucketclip through that gate on the tower, through the door. It's temperamental for me, not sure if it would be better with training (Bet it is).
Speedrunner: clear the game in 37:24

we all know the broom was for rng manipulation
Heck yeah
How do you make the QS/QL infinite staminia glitch?

So what was the point of marrying after doing the time travel? I didn't get that

I forgot how ugly this game was without mods.
Wait, you're telling me Fallout 4 doesn't remind you? Hahaha
