I m Italian and I can easily say that if you want fo visit Venice with budget you can do it check cicchetti restaurant!!. Even for the night, for example you can stay in a 2 bedroom apartment with a friend in some apartment like Palazzina Trevigiana or Chiarano Home in Treviso near station and visit 2 city in a budget. Direct train every 15 minutes and location is very close to station like 10 minutes by walk. Great to spend 130 euro per night 65 per room, and have the kitchen to cook you fav meals.
Early January is also pretty quiet tourist wise, Christmas lights still up but some places do close in January so might struggle with some things. Yes pasticcerias are limited but Venice is more about the cicchetti and aperitivo, so search for Osterias when wandering about and go down all the side alleyways, you’ll be amazed what you’ll find. Venice is magical ❤️
Love these unique and more down to earth recommendations. Totally forgot about Banksy. Definitely going to get a ticket to that roof terrace, seeing that ceiling painting that took 24 years to paint, and using all the water fountains to refill my bottle. 🤣 Thank you for the great tips, I'll be visiting with my mom this year, both our first time. Can't wait! 😊
Just saw ur vlog as am in Train visiting Venice today n must thank you for such an incredible info which sure should help me . appreciate it thoroughly n best wishes to u for more great video's. Ciao
Your videos are wonderful and informative and good reference for future trips to Italy. I spent the month of April in Venice after losing my credit card in Florence. I had almost 1000 euros cash that I had to live on for a month. My first purchase was a month long vaporetto pass, 145 euros that I felt was worth the expense. I was fortunate to have secured a lovely apartment in Castello for the month. I lived like a local. There were a few things I wanted to see and do that I would need to spend some money on, gifts for my granddaughter, plus shipping home, the opening of the Biennale, the Guggenheim, Alilaguna to the airport, so I just budgeted with the cash I had then walked, a lot, every day and saw sites. With the vap pass I got to go to Murano and Burano and Lido. My experiences eating out were limited but most enjoyable. There is just so much to see and places to explore that it was completely doable and I came home with 20 euros, the start to my saving for the next trip.
What an amazing story! I'm glad you still enjoyed your stay and didn't let that incident ruin the whole trip for you. Thanks a lot for sharing it, and hopefully you get to visit Italy again soon!
Very nice video, I appreciate that you like so much Zattere, my favorite place in Venice, too. But, just a detail : baccalà is cod, a fish from the ici waters of Greenland and Svalbard. Not really local !
Thank you! Italy is lovely, and if you decide to visit, I also have a similar video about Florence, so check it out: ua-cam.com/video/vlSZgHgw3kQ/v-deo.html
The other reason why you want to use an ATM at a bank is because if that ATM decides to keep your card, you have no way of getting it back unless there’s a bank you can enter and talk to someone about the fact that the machine stole your card. This is also a reason why you want to get money out of the bank ATM during business hours if possible
Ciao! Thank you for another great video and I hope that you are well considering all that is happening in your home country. I have heard that post-Covid, Venice is considering banning or limiting the huge cruise ships coming to the city. Have you heard this as well? Grazie, Paul in Firenze
Was just there 2 weeks ago. 20 euro will not go very far during tourist season. Aperol spritz was 6 Euro....10 euro in Siena. Further south you go in Italy, cheaper it is.
It all depends on where you're looking! There are plenty of hidden places tourists don't know about and the prices there are much cheaper 😉 And of course it depends on whether you're ready to eat something on the go vs going to the restaurants, etc.. Hope you still enjoyed your trip!
@@DramaticallyExpatic I am here in Venice now. We went to the promenade you said and with the cicchetti from the same cafe. Its been a lot of fun. A little warmer than when you were here 🥵

Io ho i miei dubbi. Hai pagato 20 euro per camminare in strada. Io lo faccio gratis, senza neanche girare video su UA-cam. Ciao.
Just returned from Italy on October 18th, visited Venice for 4 days and Rome for 8 days. No, you cannot do Venice for only 20 euros, you'll want to go eat at different places, get cannolis, ice cream, museum tours. You can cheap by and get meats, cheeses for breakfast sandwiches, but 20 euros a day is very laughable. Btw, your looking at 87 American cents to 1 euro.

cool
I've probably miss it, but in what time of year you made this visit?
Thank you.
It was in early March!
Headed to Venice in about 10 days. This was one of the most helpful videos I have watched
where exactly is the contemporary art gellery please?
All the places I visited in this video can be found in the description box :)
What about dinner?
it would help in your videos if you showed a map and where you were on that map. I have no idea where in Venice you are.
I always leave all the places as google maps pins in the description box :)
I love Italy 🇮🇹 ♥️
I love lamp
Venezia is not "Italy" ..........as f.e. there is NO Italian kitchen, there are hundreds of them , regional and seasonal .......
Shitty italy😂
Doesnt look very crowded at all. Is that in March?
What credit card can a tourist use to save money
Where is exactly this romantic view with the sunset????
It's called Fodamenta Zattere al Ponte Longo!
👍👍👍👍❤
Great video. My favorite place in the world. So why why why do idiots graffiti the buildings.
Going to Venice with 20 euro is like going with 20 euro to a Mall because Venice was transformed in a gigantic Mall.
Your not kidding, really beautiful Venicia, no bikes, no cars, no motorcycles, pure walking and shopping mall stores everywhere.
What month was the video shot?
Early March
What is the date you are there? February?
I think it was late February/early March!
Taking money from those banks to get euros. Is it just taking my US credit card and pulling out money in euros? My card is a Visa card bank is Chase.
Use your debit card. If you use a credit card it’s treated as a cash advance and will cost you a lot more
