I'm not totally sure on that . Overall nice reatta even if it is likely a restomod rather than a factory 3800 SC reatta . The hoods is overdone but otherwise I like it . 3800 SC is awesome. The other thing is the nitrous and water methanol injection, I got to admit I'm not fond of that but overall I like it .

Reminds me of a guy in the NW suburbs of Chicago that always takes his Lebaron to car shows and insists it’s a Maserati and flooded the car with Maserati emblems. It really is the Lebaron that was made with Maserati seats , dash etc but it’s still not a Maserati.

Even the host did not believe this guy. That is why he kept asking "from the factory". I don't mind that this guy wanted to supercharge his Reatta, but why lie about it. Maybe he is planning on selling it and would like to raise the value by saying it is a one of one. I hate to be the one to tell him, but he will never get the amount of money back that he put into this car.
This was factory, he just added all the extra crap to it, ruining it. A GM executive had it built by Buick, for his wife.

Not legit. They did make a RWD turbo 3.8 Reatta prototype and that was the only boosted Reatta built.
Never heard about that car I'm going to have to look that up I wish that's how Reattas would of been made

That engine looks similar to my old 1994 Buick Park Avenue Ultra that was my first car, so I’m betting it’s a Series 1 L67 3800 supercharged. I’m almost 100% sure that the car wasn’t built from the factory like this, but the supercharged 3800 is a nice upgrade!

The only physical differences between the ln3 and the l67 are the supercharger on the intake. And the difference between ln3 and l27 is also just intake, but n/a

Hey big bro Lou! On this Pentecost Sunday, I have red stripes on top of my ever present tubesocks like the good Irish/English/Italian/Persian Roman Catholic boy I am lol ;). I have always been a Buick Reatta fan (an old timer who lived across the street from me in upstate NY when I was a kid had one and me and my buddies (JV baseball ruffians all) would lust after it lol :). I call bogus. It was not factory built, at best a custom built one of a kind. Just because a GM exec owned it, and maybe some of the "boys" reworked it does not a production car make. Buick did not build a Reatta GSX. A year after the car came off the line, even. Period.
Needs more old emblems slapped on crooked from different cars, Just not junked up enough. Man...More I look the more I laugh. Now I'll step out in the garage and look at the real deal..an 88 with under 40K miles I've owned for over 20 years.

Wow, I sincerely hope that gentlemen doesn't think he has a rare OEM Reatta. If he does, he probably got ripped off by some hack, as there was never such a car/Reatta from Buick with those options, motor etc..
I know, my family was a Buick dealer and I have a 89 Reatta and they have an actual 90 convertible with less then 60K original miles.

Absolutely not a factory car. I worked in GM during this time and I also still own a 1989 Red Reatta. There was talk among us of putting the Grand National GNX engine into the 1992 Reatta and making it a rear wheel drive car. However the brand was discontinued during the 1991 production year. The decision was made to keep the Allante and Fiero alive. Both those two models were also later killed off.

I remember hearing about this one off legendary car, that a Buick executive commissioned, years ago. Except the rice rice baby spoiler, fake vents that don't vent, and the AutoZone - engine blown - power gone, should've left it alone, nitrous for numbskulls kit, which makes this sound like some teenagers far 2 Fast 2 Furious 2Funny Honda Civic (all of it being pretty ghastly, completely rediculous, and a reason people will laugh at the car, despite it's rarity) thats dim, cheap, and ugly underbody LED lighting kit broke. Well, that and the double license plates (we can already see the 20 extra badges, we know what it is already, damn!), the extra badges, those ghastly chrome rims that give off a "broke project boy on a minimum/ or welfare wage, stereotype first custom car that he took too far" - vibe that I'm not sure even senile centinials wouldn't see as some comedic parody of a saggy pants youth's beater bucket plastered in poor taste because 'what ev dude" (to tell you the truth, even they most likely wouldn't even like, nor respect this abominable, custom looks by a lunatic creation, and would probably laugh endlessly at whoever was driving this, likely while trying not to show their face, despite this cars really cool history, I'm sad to say), all of which adds up to rediculous levels of crackpot on a crack pipe craziness.... Whoa, that was a lot to say... just wow, so sad... Lol, yeah despite all of that add on trash, it's very nice. Definitely something I'd be proud to own (after some type of emergency restoration of course), and would die with before I ever sold it. You've got the beginnings of a "Cars and coffee" show stopping, future classic, and hopefully one day this 5 legged 🐸 gets to become the 🤴 it was meant to be.

Lou...come on...some performance numbers would be great. Almost necessary with this "Buick," real or not. I've always loved the look of the Reatta, some power and appropriate, corresponding upgrades is what it needed badly, however. Never driven one but hear it was quite underpowered.
