Had one. The motor that won't die. The touchscreen...decades ahead...the secret service screen in the touchscreen...real-time data...override features..you need a good scanner nowadays to read the codes and data. That car no need for a scanner...
Loved the body repair/paint....."We don't need any of those fancy respirators! It's just PAINT!"

Seriously my favorite car I’ve ever owned. Super easy to work on, it’s a blast to drive and it’s always an attention getter. You can tell they went all in designing this car.

I applaud how Buick invested in a new approach to get a high quality car, while Cadillac and Chrysler simply said "we can't build better cars, so let's do it in Europe" (i.e. Cadillac Allanté & Chrysler TC)

Absolutely the worst car GM ever worse than a corvair the biggest POS I've ever seen owned or worked on they should have stuck with an assembly line for quality

SanJuanCreole I own a regal from this era. Keep this car forever. I am keeping mine forever and had it since the showroom when my grandpa bought it. I hope to find an assembly line video like this one to see my regal being built.

Absolutely I'm never selling this gem! It's so much fun to drive! You have no idea how many people look to see what type of car it is..lol it's funny.

SanJuanCreole same with mine. A lot of younger people look back at it and a lot of hot girls can't believe how clean the car looks for its age. It stands out in traffic because it's the only car that's looks like a car. Everyone else around you is driving an egg on wheels

Assembly process looked pretty thorough but very slow. I can see where cost to build could have been an issue. I love this car though!

The E.E.C, electronic control system, in the dashboard, controlling the heat, radio, troubleshooting, mpg, etc. is WAY Before its time causing Many Difficulties once it's defective. This being the reason Reatta switched back to "normal control buttons & switches" in 1990 & 1991. Word Up!!! Lotsa luck finding a mechanical brain that can troubleshoot & repair these units!! Know of one, any? Please advise. A 35 yr. old vehicle, having these modern electrical options, do bare future issues & can keep the vehicle inoperable for quite sometime.

MINE'S been at the dealership flashing & not operating. They put another unit in, a module & have had it for 1.5 months. Now they claim they can't figure out what the problem is & it's *to old to fix*. That's Mark Wahlbergs' Chevrolet in Avon, Ohio. Now I need to pay $877.00, "for parts", for a car *THEY CAN'T REPAIR*!!!! HEADS UP!!!!!

I was told to steer clear from the 88 and 89 model that the 90 and 91 models were the best I am actually shopping for one hopefully with low mileage I've got 4 to 5 lined up, wish me luck! In finding my dream car...

If U want anything worth collecting, consequences may occur, If U don't realize that, y'all should leave it 4 somebody with the initiative to be a 🏆 winner & figure it out. Everything is man made & man can address the scenarios, unless it wears a suit and tie, being a poliDICKal asshole, I dropped the dashboard, on my '88, & found 6" of wiring harness shorting out due to a mounting screw coming loose, shorting the system out occasionally. Remounting the screw & repairing the wiring brought the system back to new....quitters never win & winners 🏆🥇 never quit.....1988, running & looking like new with me gaining wisdom about what I wanted & will cherish as I'm Kruzin the streets.....Thank God...

This is a premium car but it has a felt trunk liner, you need a hammer to change rear bulbs and a lift to change the front. I like the reatta but GM its infuriating in how smug they can be while cranking out sub-standard automobiles.

Sadly, this Buick was a failure just for the engine alone.

That 3.8 engine was very reliable; unless you are referring to HP...
