Yup, it's loaded with errors. The Turbo Regal 3.8 was listed as 183 CI.. The GNX was a 1986, which they were a 1987. The 70 Stage2 was behind the 70 Stage1.. Why the focus on 0-60 times. 0-60 is not a good testing point, ad some good rear gears and any car will improve on the 0-60.. Your also picturing a very heavy modified Turbo T-type, engine bay and the warped fiberglass front end.. Really not impressed with this video, i'm really really sorry to say.
@@Johnnycdrums Oh yes the Stage1 was quite the fast car. Could argue that it was the top 2 of fastest 1/4 mile cars just as bought.. The Stage 2 should of never been put into this video. It was never a car that you could buy from a lot. They had planned to make them for the 1971 year but the low compression and unleaded fuel new laws stopped any hopes of building them. It would have been truly special. It was to have these newly designed really high flowing special heads and cam etc..These special heads with 2 inch round ports on the exhaust side could get into the high 10 second range 1/4 mile when built proper! They did however make these heads and other parts available over the counter at Buicks dealers around 1972. The video also did a quick mention of 150 mph?? for this Stage 2. Thats pure nonsense as its a car made for the 1/4 mile. It would take a 8 1/2 second 1/4 mile car to run that fast at the end of the run.
My 1990 Buick Regal with the 3.8 was very impressive. I could peel out so easily at a red light, without even trying. I miss that car!!! I had it from 1995 to 2004. It was a beautiful sparkly dark blue. 😎
I wonder what that 65 GS skylark would run 0-60 with just a set of headers and more important, at least a 3.42 gear and some sticky tires. Low to mid 6s??? Buicks were always cool. In 75, he w as going to give it to my brother for his 16th birthday,,,,,,,,wanted a 75 Trans am instead. The 73s Riv had duals and obviously no cats on it. When Buick offered the L76 340 hp. 401 late in the 1966 model year it was about .3 seconds quicker in the 1/4 and 1 second quicker 0-60 This was still with 3:36 rear gears.

We all know the 455 was an absolute monster. Moving a heavy car that quick, says a lot with just a 4 spd. GM could have made 3.8 Rivera Supercharged a monster. 24V heads to get it well over 300 hp, but it would have cut into the Camaro/Corvette sales and GM wasn't going to have that. As they got more power, so did the Buick's..🤫
T -Type and Grand Nationals were WAY faster than what you are posting. I have Car and Driver magazines in the 80's that state this. How about 4.8-4.9 secs. as it could beat any Corvette in it's era. If you do not believe me, I will scan you the magazines. And the car which you are showing has GNX on the front.
While not the fastest Buick I had one of the rarer ones in a '70 GS 350 Skylark that put out a respectable 315 HP and 410 ft lbs. They only made 9948 of them in '70 and mine was loaded up even with rare bucket seats and floor shifter. I sold it to a person who was going to restore it and instead it got donated to the crusher for cash because their kid they were going to give it too drank beer at a party when he was 16. Who didn't do that?
@@Johnnycdrums1 in a million. Chevy engines have been, and continue to be, put in everything. There are more Ford Cobra kit cars with Chevy power than there ever were original Cobras. You need to get your facts correct. About Buick muscle. The Buick T-type and Grand National did not use a 198 CI. it was the 231 Ci. The 1970 GS Stage 2 were factory test pieces offered to Buick Racers, in 1970. The Stage 2 was never put into production. Only available over the counter, stating in 1971. The 1970 Buick GS Stage 1 was a 455 ci. conservatively rated a 360 hp and 510flbs of torque. According to original road tests the 3rd fastest muscle car built. The car used in the segment about the GSX Stage 2 was not even a true GS. It is a clone of a GSX made from the Skylark 2 dr sedan.
GM did not like the Grand National beating the Corvette so they made Buick stop making the Grand National Buick had a history of making faster cars than Chevrolet

The GNX was 1987 not 1986
And GNX had more HP than Type-1 Regal and had a special rear suspension like a Camaro...
What about the 1954 Buick wildcat concept? Which would've been Buicks version of the Corvette.
3.8 231V6. But the T type also had color options
The T-sport w-12 also had cast-aluminium bumpers.
