I love fishing a spook... I hate being in the boat with someone else fishing the spook. If someone tries to set the hooks at the wrong time, the thing they'll end up catching most is you.
Great lure, just doesn’t cast far from the surf & those hooks will get bent out from any decent size saltwater fish. I prefer it for freshwater, & id use more like a 2-3 oz spook from the surf.
Ya the spook is literally goated for every fish that eats on the surface big redfish speckled trout Texas stripper white bass large mouth you name it will eat it
I had the biggest stripper on my line probably 45 lbs or so on a gunfish. I was kayak fishing and it towed ke before it broke the line and my heart. .:(
If you find it i highly recomend you try the seaspin pro q in any size you want. Even though there arent any striper where i live it catches literally anything so i see no reason it whouldnt work well on striper
@@Tackle2thePeople it totally is the torpedo. I couldn’t remember the name but just found an unopened one I had and that’s it lol. The shad color is also good for saltwater.
The Spook has been tried and true and has been out for decades since the like the late 1930s. Its an affordable lure that has caught peoeple many fish, including myself.
I love mine. People don't know what they are talking about or...don't know how to work it right. BUT I do have a friend that won't use it because you can't use a clip with this particular Popping spook

I would say the popper is goated for me, be it fresh or saltwater. But a spook is a good lure to cover water for bass

Dude I caught a 2.5 lber off the docks with a weightless Texas rigged senko. Spent 3 days in the obx. Also caught one on a crappie jig lol

I’ve found some of the larger spooks are too big for a lot of bass. I like the “baby bass” super spook jr. Perfect size and works like a charm.
