Interesting thing about the over 9000 meme is that it was a mistranslation, he was supposed to say it was over 8000, but I guess the way "nine" sounds in english has more pop than "eight"
Yeah, I think the meme is more prevalent in the English-speaking DB fandom. Here in Spanish-speaking Latin America Vegeta said "Over 8000", but in shocked tone. The meme kind of exists but in variation, usually a screenshot from the scene with Vegeta saying something like, "His stupidity level is off the charts"
