You are always the first one with the BOTM picks video up! 🙌 I love your promptness! Last month, I read the two books that you and your wife did, and liked them both. This month, I chose She Started It, The Wishing Game (love the cover! 😍), The Whispers, and The House Is On Fire. I was thrilled to see that BOTM is letting us ship up to 5 books now, but it certainly isn't helping my TBR decrease at all! 😬😂
Just to clarify, Clytemnestra isn't just going after her king for "revenge" she is going after him for a much more important reason. She was married to the king, and, before the king went away to war he tricked her into sending their daughter to him. He told Clytemnestra that he needed the daughter for her wedding, but in reality he captured her and murdered her in cold blood. SO the story isn't just about "revenge," it is about revenge for a husband murdering his and his wife's child.
The add-ons sound better than the main picks. But I did select She Started It; just in the mood for a plot like that. Thank you! Great video.
The Wishing Game and Banyan Moon are 5-star reads. I hope people don't sleep on those amazing picks. ❤️
Was here from when you were at 130 subs (just different account lol). Great job, video production quality has drastically improved.
Always enjoy your videos 🎉
Not that it has much bearing on the story (maybe just a couple trigger warnings), but in The Wishing Game, the main character isn’t orphaned- she just has terrible parents. She goes to live with her grandparents as a child because her older sister is sick.
I haven’t gotten my books yet but I’m definitely getting Ink Blood Sister Scribe and adding on The Wishing Game. They both sound really good and I love bookish books.
I know what you mean about feeling like “not the target demographic.”
Just used your BOTM code, thank you. Love your videos‼️
I’m from The Bahamas and I chose “She started it”.
Lady Tan! ❤ Lisa see !! I also added Five Star Weekend . So excited for this month !
Love the natural lighting
Elin Hildebrand is always a classic beach read. Christina Lauren is hit or miss so I’d pass on that one.
I picked The Wishing Game and read it today and loved it. I skipped this month because I'm trying to make it through my backlog and finances are tight.
I think I’ve only skipped one other time in my year and a half of being subscribed to BOTM. This month just didn’t do it for me. I have so many books on my shelf so I decided to skip this month to allow me to focus on those books instead.
I am not super interested in any of the books this month although I am sure part of it is the 4 of the 5 options are debut novels don’t have much hype yet… I think I am going to go with Ink blood Sister Scribe. You can’t go wrong with a book about books right? And on the plus side it doesn’t look like it’s suppose to have a sequel which is rear for fantasy.
Just finished The Wishing game - i loved it. (Am Also a Blake Crouch fan😊)
Loved both of my choices last month; The Collected Regrets of Clover and The Last Word. I went with Banyan Moon. It does seem a little women story focused this month.
Thank you for sharing these books! I’m a huge Lisa See fan. Her Tea Girl of Hummingbird Lane is my favorite book so I’ll be choosing that. Still reading Yours Truly! Also, going to pick up Elin Hilderbrand’s new book. Loved The Nantucket Hotel and Golden Girl. 😊
