I love BoTM! My daughter and I both joined during the pandemic. We were home trying to remote teach and both a little stressed out. Each month we choose a different book so we can share. We are both so excited when the new books become available on the website. And even more excited when the blue boxes arrive. BoTM got us through a hard time.

Good review. Daisy Darker made me cry. I felt terrible for her especially when you see how she died. Her family was ugly. BoTM seems great, unfortunately, I don't like hardbacks. They're heavy and unwieldy. 75% of my books are eBooks from the library. I love a good floppy paperback where I can fold the covers back. I wish BoTM would do a paperback service with older titles as all books go paperback eventually. Thanks for your reviews - I have added a few to my TBR for 2023. I do keep my library in business.
I like that paperback idea! I used to read almost exclusively on my ereader but now it makes my carpal tunnel act up. Oof. Age, lol. Hardbacks are the easiest for me to read without wrist pain (I can imagine 25 year old me rolling her eyes right now)

I've been a BOTM subscriber for just over a year now and I love it. I like the anticipation of guessing what the choices will be, of picking my selection and getting fun book mail. I'm a heavy library user and don't have the space for keeping large amounts of books at home so anything I read under 5 stars gets sold on Pango!
At the end of every year, I look back at all my books of the month and decide what I want to keep (maybe give to someone to read) or sell! But this past year I read soooo many good ones lol

I know! I find that because I don't read horror and read few contemporary or literary fiction, there tend not to be many (if any) male author choices in my preferred genres.
