Thanks for the presentation. Just purchased the Pocket 3 and am getting familiar with the settings, etc. I had read the external mics were pretty good. I don't vlog so I wasn't considering the DI wireless mic. I'm finding the sound is a bit hollow with a 'swirling' echo. I like your setup with the cage and cold shoe. This is the first I've heard that a wired external mic would work on a Pocket 3. I have an extra Tascam TM-2X from another camera. I like it for it's thin profile. I didn't realize the USBc port would support a speaker. I have not seen any volume controls in the menu. How are you adjusting it with your mic? Thanks
Hey thanks for the video. I know it has internal stereo microphones. My question is can you use an external stereo microphone. I would just use the internal speakers but I don't know if they're good enough. Using it to record wildlife sounds when I want to walk down a trail and don't want to use my heavy mirrorless with cage and everything on it.
@@easygoingguy I can’t see any reason why that would not work. When you use the video mic ntg in safety mode, although not a stereo mic it splits the channels it records to.
Thank you, this is the video I have been looking for! One question: Is it possible to record STEREO with an external audio interface? Because the DJI Mic 2 and my Rode Go Me will only record mono via the 3,5mm jack.
I'm on the fence about the Pocket 3. It is a want not a need but good lord the Shure SM7B is amazing ridiculous looking on the pocket 3 but still. I already have 4 of them so I don't need any more but, if you are looking for a studio microphone march on down to that affiliate link you will not be dissapointed.
Hello ! Thank you for your video ! I connected the SONY PCM-D100 on the OP3 (with the "wired" option = using the Apple USB-C adapter + TRRS/TRS cable) and it works BUT I get sound only from the left mic (I can see on the PCM that both mic are recording). Is the OP3 able to dissociate the left and right channel from a personal recorder like he PCM-D100 ? Curious to have your thoughts about that. Thank you.
Hey anyone or do you know why when I connect my Fifine Mic it sounds noisy, buzzing, etc? It just happens to when I connect to dji pocket 3, it’s alright with other devices
3:36 - I just tried this, but my 32-bit float audio WAV has a massive noise floor that drowns me out, even in a quiet room. My voice can barely be heard, exact same setup, any idea what could be causing it?
Had same problem I have the Rode VideoMicro and even with the connector it does work so think it only workd with the more expensive Rode mics that have the USBC port built in
The Rode VideoMic II doesn't work with the Osmo Pocket 3. I've tried every connector going and nothing works. When I contacted Rode, they said that they hadn't tested the mic with the Pocket 3 so couldn't say whether it is compatible.

Thank you! I am gonna try it with my zoom f3 and am considering to get the f8 now
Thanks for the video! It’s great to know all of the options you have for microphones. Just got my OS3 and I’m loving it!
Thanks Man, these are some great tips, I just found out too myself Lol
Enjoyed the video. Just curious as to what windscreen you are using on the MKH50? It's one of my favorite microphones.

Great video. Question, is it possible to use a wired mic at the same time as the DJI Wireless mic?
Would you advice selling a Sony ZvE-10 for a pocket 3 as all in one camera, studio and vlogging? Thanks in advance
What are the settings in the Pocket3 to record audio from Sennheiser mke200 by direct wire connection?
When you connect a shotgun mic to the pocket 3, can you still record audio to the footage from the dji mic?

@@bazZzment you might find a rode sc11 cable solves your problem

After you've recorded the video outside do you then edit it in post to for example get rid of background noise etc with a denoise program like waves?

Nice video bro! i have a videomicro and i tried the hollyland adapter with the trs cable and it didnt work... any idea of a fix for this?
That’s really odd as it works with my videomic go ii using 3.5mm. Maybe try the Movo usb dongle
I just got the rode video mic pro + and just got a random 3.5m to usbc cord but the audio bar isn’t showing on the DJI so I don’t know if it’s on

@@robsmith6794 well I’m using it in this video with the included usb c cable that came with the pockets 3
@@thefullsetup Yep, tried that. Doesn't work
