i have traced my family tree in the Shetlands back to 1595. My ancestors migrated to Australia in 1859. I visited the Shetlands for the first time in April 2012, with my American daughter. We were both enchanted. Lovely people, great food, a shortage of Australian beer but the local drop isn't too bad. Can't wait for my second visit.
