“Wait there” - Sophie to the camera as if it’s gonna go anywhere and as if I’m not gonna wait patiently for her return❤️❤️
So lovely ...
i literally said the same thing lmao.
🤣🤣🤣
Exactly right. I sat patiently and waited for Sophie to return.....like we were all sitting around the kitchen table having a chat. When she mentioned that her denim Dior Saddle Bag was downstairs on her bed, I thought to myself, "Go get it. I'll wait" At this point, it's as if we were all friends. Funny how your mind works like that.
"it looks weird..... but i like it..but it looks weird" is the most relatable feeling.
Bottega Veneta bags and shoes just remind me of bubble wrap 😂😂
Chanel Dad sandals prove we'll believe that anything is cool if the right fashionista rocks it with confidance ♥️
It's so true!!!x
@Lady Fervor totally agree with you 😆
Yes!! They are so ugly 🤣
O ya- I really did not liked them - but theh really grow on me and I think I will buy them for this summer... alrhought last year I thought- uffff who can wear those??! And the same with chanel 19- I was like wow- I did not liked it all and than I wear it in shop and I love it... is it strange?
Same with Chanel 19. Didn't like it at first, now I do. Not bought it though. Luckily, my wallet doesn't stretch that far. Xx
That's why i think st. Laurent made a smart move by keeping the ysl logo even tho the name was changed to st. Laurent. I have 3 ysl bags anf i would be annoyed with a bunch of bags with a discontinued logo. Keeps things more classic and noy dated when the logo is consistent
Agreed! Celine also frustrates me with their logo changes. YSL logo is so iconic, they must knkw that they'd be mad to change it
Or it makes them collector’s items...
Agreed. I've got a Kate and a LouLou Medium and the confidence that the branding has been stable for so long improves their value, imo.
Why tf would they change their name from Yves Saint Laurent? Because people can’t pronounce “Yves” as “Eves”? Smh. That’s like if Louis Vuitton dropped the Louis part of their name...
I am obsessed with my Chanel 19! It’s been my go to and honestly, for ME, a classic
True. I know the classic is iconic, but the 19 is a fusion that allows us to use it on daily basis, dressed casually or fancy and it is way much less expensive than the classic that honestly is insane now.
I feel that high end designers aren’t looking to make long term bags, they are making bags to sell and sell and up the prices.
That’s how they make their money!
@HF J yepp I find myself being more drawn to very classic styles or preloved especially for chanel
@@AnonYmous-en7op I'm only doing preloved for Chanel. I take exception to their price increases (and quality decline). I fit jumbos well, and there are plenty being resold. Screw the boutique.
Biker boot trend for life lol. Practical, hardy, and they do just look good. ive had biker looking boots for years. glad for once i was on trend without trying lol
Me too love them😻
Biker boots are a classic for me. Been wearing them for decades; I was an early adapter!
The Prada ones were a vibe but the Bottega ones are yuck. However im so glad they came back, combat/biker boost for life💕
Agree with your picks, with exception that the smaller 19 bag is fabulous! I've been enjoying mine and how fresh the style is!! It actually makes me feel the flap bag is outdated...
Completely agree! I have both and I honestly feel like 19 gave classic flap a run for it's money. Classic is too formal looking to me now and doesn't incorporate as well as the 19 does into daily wear
I totally agree! The small size is delightful and the flap definitely feels old and outdated
I think that Chanel 19 made me change my mind because it seems to be the perfect alternative to my pochette metis because it is a very practical bag. It first came out in lambskin for the small size and I’m glad they changed it to goatskin now which improved its durability. At the same time, the small size is comparable to pochette metis in capacity, the awesome back pocket and it’s also a great crossbody bag for casual outing.
I just recently bought Chanel19 in Ivory and all I can say I love it so so much❣️ I never thought I would ever buy this bag bc I didn’t like it when it came out. But I’m so glad I changed my mind, if I could have only one Chanel this is the one🖤
I agree with you. The best chanel bag
Oooh - ivory sounds delightful!
That’s so funny, I had the opposite with the Chanel 19. I hated it and then when I got my hands on it and tried it on...I was almost mad at how much I loved it 😂
Same here! I want from “it looks like a freaking pillow” to “it looks like a pillow 😍” lolll.
I thought it was a joke. Went in to get the classic flap and came out with the Chanel 19. Once I saw it and held it I had to leave with It lol
Same for me! I have purchased a black and navy! They are now my go to bags!
i fell in love with chanel 19 when i first saw it, forgot about it for a year, then walked into a chanel boutique and fell even more in love. i have one now, and use it a lot, and it really makes me happy - i love everything about it - it's so modern and chic and different from the classic bag. it's also so nice to touch and cuddle. (i know how crazy i sound). happy new year!
That bottega bag with the massive chain literally screams medieval weapon to me 😂
Agreed!! It'll probably be banned on public transport! Another really ugly bag that we'll be laughing at in a few years time. Hey, I think we should bring back 80's hair trends, namely huge hairspray flicks!
🤣🤣🤣🤣. I love that bag-the pouch with chain, but I find the price tag disrespectful 🤣
I love the Chanel 19 bag. It's in the icon line now, which means it's going to keep coming back in style, and the price is going to increase each year. I totally agree with the designer lounge-wears and pjs; they are a waste of money. I also don't like the "D-light" bag. Thank you for sharing. Have a wonderful day and stay safe. 😃❤️
I bought the Diorever in Bicester village for about £1.7K, I knew it was discontinued before I bought it, but I absolutely love it! One of my absolute favourite bags! But then again, it’s more of “if you know, you know” because there isn’t a huge logo on it, so it doesn’t feel outdated x
I bought the nineteen earlier this year and I love it! It’s so beautiful. It’s the last bag Karl Lagerfeld designed. I get endless compliments. And I got it before the price changes. Yay me! 🤪
Trend bags and items in the social media age are especially dangerous! Seasonal buys are only "investment" safe if 'you' really love them. xx
Are they an investment though. You buy it for keeps and enjoy...
The biker boots really are a great and much needed trend, they have been quite helpful for me during these rainy days in Portugal 😆
You and the Dior Saddle Bag have a co-dependent relationship🤣
I know this is months later, but I recently bought the D Lite in the dark blue toile du Jouy. I love it! I don’t always love leather, but I am a huge fan of floral prints and embroidery so I appreciate the craftsmanship of the d lite almost more that the lady d. I think it’s a really good non-leather option and you still get that classic look.
I personally love the Chanel 19 bag, I love that it is more casual then a classic flap but it still has enough structure to pull an outfit together and be smart if needed. I am one of those people that will wear a bag that I love regardless of whether or not it is considered in fashion. I still use my original mulberry bayswater all the time. LOVE the Dior boots! Combat boots have been around for years so they are a great investment.
i just bought chanel 19 bag for christmas, I didn't like it to start with and then it grew on me, i feel like its casual version of classic, new fresh and modern design. love it at the moment
My husband bought me the pink tweed 19 bag for my birthday in November. It is really pretty, I love the chain and the pink fabric running through it, I don't think I would love it in any other style though. I saw the Bottega mules in Saks the other day, I am not crazy about them...they look very wide.
I have 2 Chanel 19 bags and totally love them!!
That bag is just so me!! I have a more casual cool vibe and it fits right in but when I have a classic flap bag I feel like it is too fancy for my style...
I just bought the Bobby bag last month...I love it. The leather is not very sturdy, I can definitely see it getting scratched, but it is so buttery soft, I just sit and pet it LOL. I love how simple and chic it is. It reminds of the Hermes Constance, which I don't think I'll be able to afford maybe ever lol
Love the Chanel 19. My personal favorite. Soft, cuddly & comfortable to carry. It’s my go to bags for most days.
I Sophie I have the Chanel 19 in tweed and absolutely love it! Top hand, shoulder and crossbody - its so versatile! I think you need to see it in different materials like tweed!xx
The Bobby Dior may not become a classic, agree, but it's one of the best handbags I've ever owned: clean design, super (super!) light and spacious. Classy.
Totally agree! Was going to comment that I also bought the Bobby recently and have been using it non-stop. I love the minimalist, understated look of it, it’s super comfortable to wear (perfect crossbody length) and light just as you said. I kind of prefer to have bags that are more under the radar anyways and figure it’s a pretty classic/timeless silhouette. That being said I still want a saddle too 🥴🙈
For me, the Chanel 19 was love at first sight! 💖 The BV sandals look like the shoes that came with my Barbie 35 years ago! 😂 Biker boots are not a trend, they're eternal! 🤘🏼
Hi Sophie, think I made it first today...no buffering to contend with. Just wanted to say thank you sooo much for your lovely letter which I received yesterday, it made my day. I love the biker boot trend, fingers crossed it stays around for a good while yet. Hugs xxx
I thought I was quick this time! Never going to beat you mum xx
Dear Jill - you are indeed first again!!!
So glad the letter arrived with you, I just love the picture, so thoughtful.
Happy New Year to you my love!!xx
Yay, back on form......stay safe. xx
I just got the Chanel 19 in tweed for Christmas. I have only used it a couple of times but I really like it so far. I like to wear it cross body & the chain is the perfect length. I also LOVE that it has an outside pocket for my phone. I do feel that I need to be more mindful with it because it's fabric & not leather. Fingers crossed it will wear well & I will enjoy it for years to come. 💕
I agree with all your picks except the 19. It's such a soft, comfortable, easy and stylish bag. Everything else, I agree with.
I agree with you Islandgirl8, I own a Chanel 19 bag and really enjoying it... but to Sophie's point, if I can only buy one bag from Chanel, classic flap is probably a better choice...
Agree! I bought the Chanel 19 in black goatskin last year and I am so in love with it still. It's much more hard wearing than the classic flap in lambskin.
Same here
@@ebaby812 i feel like that's a problem when one's guilt tripped to go for classics with the "mantain the value or investment" mindset even tho they don't like the particular style and the bags don't match the wearers lifestyle either, like, "oh if you wanf to buy from chanel then the classic flap is a must have" to the point where people own the exact same thing and not a unique piece that's tailored their taste, so yeah, in my opinion, buy one that you actually like so that you won't even think of reselling it, something that you'd actually cherish, buying those "classics" are like the adult equivalent to fear of missing out or mere peer pressure to fit in, but then again if you trully love the style then go for it
@@mauriceestelle4619 Thanks for your comment - I agree that buying what we love is the most important!
I really appreciate and like hearing you talk about luxury purchases because it’s based on making sound financial decisions. You won’t buy a really expensive bag unless you feel like it’s a good investment. So many people on UA-cam and social media are constantly buying bags and having massive hauls showing no regard for cost and it’s getting to a point where I don’t even want to watch luxury fashion channels anymore.
I love the Chanel 19. I actually use it more than my classic flaps and trendy cc because it can be worn casual and appropriate for work
Totally agree about the BV bags and shoes. The cassette bags have already been knocked off. It’s way too expensive for it to be so trendy. And currently, MyTheresa has a TON of BV bags on sale. I do like the Chanel 19 bag though. But I have never really been big on the classic flap. Although I do like the mini bags. Those are adorable.
I wear similar biker boots to work every day. They're not designer, but that's OK. I've had them since the 90s, and I still get asked where I got them. They have those big lug soles, and are super comfy. They look pretty good on as well. I bought 2 pairs. (Jan Griffiths).
The saddle bag looks like a human liver...enough said really!
Or an English saddle. Lol.
Ugliest bag ever.
I kind of love it though!
I love mine with its matching guitar strap! I get so many compliments whenever I carry it.
😂😂 and now I can’t unsee it! 😂😂
I bought the D-lite bag in grey, i really love the look of it though it does require great care. A drawback is that it has kind of lost its shape almost immediately after I purchased it, and some loose threads are visible
We like what we like-totally understood. I fell in love with the Chanel 19 the second I saw it in the Fall/Winter 2019-20 show. I have a few and I love them. When I tire of them I’ll put them away until they feel fresh again.
The Chanel 19 is exactly what I've been looking for in a designer handbag for years. It's cool, casual/dressy, and super practical. Could the chains be a little lighter? Yes. But not a big problem for me.
It is a beautiful bag, I agree
I am not a Chanel fan, BUT I really like the Chanel 19 and would consider buying one. I love the chunky boot trend also.
Great video! Love the commentary on trends. I original,y felt the same way as you about the 19. I tried it in the Small shortly after launch and thought, “Meh meh.” A year later, I tried it again, in a different color. Felt the same, “Meh meh.” Then come New Year, I keep seeing it on ig and Facebook, and start to like it - totally influenced. I tried it this past weekend in a Large and am in LOVE. I agree with you that it may not be a Classic someday, but I’m a fan of how easy and comfortable the purse is - comfort and frequent use is something I value in my collection, and a Classic Flap does not do it for me. So I’m pretty sure the Large 19 is my next purchase (before price increase!) 😅
I agree with almost everything except the Chanel 19 bag. That bag is absolutely gorgeous and I think it is suitable for a casual Chanel classic flap look. The classic flap is so overdone and a bit too formal for everyday. Great vid nonetheless!
Bottega veneta's chain bag....I remember seeing it displayed at the Las Vegas store where the whole wall just had them lined up like an array. When my friend and I walked past, we said they looked so ugly like dumplings.
Would love to hear your thoughts on how luxury designers are seemingly becoming fast fashion with a £££ price tag. Too many collections and fast trends. Also changing of branding so often meaning older styles look out of date leading people to wanting to buy new. x
That Chanel 19 is beautiful but I’m not into Bottega shoes 😳🤗🤗
I totally fell down the loungewear hole, gucci track pants last year and just finally grabbed the matching jacket last week 😭
love it hehe
I love those so much. So cute. Congrats
They’re so cute tho😍
I too am a saddle bag convert! Was very sceptical about buying at first because 1) felt crazy buying a re-edition of something that previously was easy to get cheap vintage and 2) too many influencers and everyone under the sun seemed to have it so was put off by the hype...but every review of the new model, the ability for it to look good for daytime and evening, leather durability- sold!
It’s not too late Sophie get the 19. It’s seriously a great bag.
I love the Chanel 19 bag...have 4
Girl! Those Bottega sandals are comfy as hell! I was similar but then bit the bullet and never looked back. Their other models have leather cushion in them too. I’m that devil on your shoulder 😂
Exactly. I got the dupes but THAT was a waste of money. Bottega is the real deal. 😄❤️
@@MeaGOfficial I'm a geriatric luxury addict. If it doesn't hurt my feet, I'm in--whatever brand.
thinkin about getting em
@@ilovementhol “geriatric luxury addict” all of 25🤦🏾♀️
I love when you do these sort of “anti-haul” type videos Lol it provides a nice balance!
I don’t understand why they keep changing the logos. Somebody like me who is not too savvy on designer items would be highly put off buying pe loved items because i would be worried it was fake. Take the latest two CD logos for example. Both look similar but it looks like somebody tired to copyright the logo so for somebody not to be ware of the logo change would think that’s a fake if that makes sense.
I can understand why you feel that way about the 19. I hated the bag when it first came out because I am a structure handbag girl. I decided to get one before the increase and I got the large size (which is what in the lux community we call it medium) that bag is exactly the size as jumbo size, I decided to exchange it for the medium (small one) which in size is comparable to the classic flap medium and I love it now. I bought an organizer and it’s even better, if you like a little the look give it a try. I agree that classics are more beautiful but this is a more comfy bag and I feel more relax with the 19 than any of my classic flaps!
I agree with everything you've said about the Bottega bag- super pricey for such a trend piece. But 'd love to hear what you think about the LV Speedy BB in lambskin ? Been eyeing it, but unsure about it as it's a seasonal piece.
TIA xx
Hey Sophie! For me, I bought the smallest size Chanel 19 preowned and still absolutely love it. For me, I love plush and squishy soft bags and it was a good purchase. I will admit that it's a very trendy style but since Chanel isn't popular where I live, I can get longer wear out of it. Completely agree with you with Dior- I fell head over heels for the D-Lite but I'm so glad I didn't get it because I would ruin it and run it ragged so quickly. I always want to dive into Dior and BV but their styles keep coming and going that it's hard trying to figure out what bag is right for me.
Lmao at “wait there” as if we could physically go anywhere. Love it!
When I go on Instagram, I just see the same things on every account... all girls look the same, same fake lips, same Chanel bags, same Prada shoes, same poses, same pics, sames places... clones everywhere. I am a real parisian girl, I love french designer brands because it is part of my country, but what those girls don't understand is : wearing a Chanel bag or a Hermès bag, or a Dior bag won't give them elegance... elegance is not about being covered with designer logos from head to toes, it is about attitude and modesty. Real rich people don't show off, they like discreet luxury...
Greetings from Paris xxx
I love your comment! Agree. I discussed the same IG accounts with my friends just last week. As for Paris and designers, I'm not from there, but this is one of the cities (including my own) where I felt like home. I also love some of the French fashion houses. That love for the city and designers came long ago. That happened way before Instagram and everything else, back when I was a child and most people didn't even know designers. I now watch the way it is and sometimes I feel sad about how twisted things got. Most of these are not truly appreciated, but used. It's not because someone likes that something in particular, but mostly because people want to be the same as, identical to ____ and flaunt material things.
agreed, this is one of the reasons i deleted instagram.
💗
@@KarinaSwan I totally agree, and thanks for your nice comment about my birth city. I'm quite sad too to see it considered as just the "place to be seen on IG" (quite like Dubaï I must say...) because it's such a lovely place with its culture and history... and it's used in a tacky and vulgar way... What's the point about posing in front of the Louvre, sipping your café with your (fake?) Chanel bag posing on the table too ?! Real french girl, and real elegant ladies wherever they are from, don't do that... I don't want to sound snob/posh/arrogant but I feel almost ashamed about wearing my Hermès bag because I don't want to be seen like those vulgar girls who show off, like "look at me, I've got an Hermès bag!" (which is probably made in China, by the way). I used to like Louis Vuitton and own several bags, and now it has become so tacky too, I don't wear them anymore. I'm looking for nice luxury and quality brands, which are discreet and elegant... *sigh* It's exactly like driving a big red or yellow Ferrari, Lamborghini or anything like that... I call it the "look-at-me-I've-got-money-car", people do what they want, but it's so nouveau riche and not elegant at all.
Well said !! Bravo 🎉🎉
Love the softness of leather of Chanel 19. Got a small on resale. Love it but have not had a chance to use yet. Would consider the mule with a kitten or lower heel. Age has its demands. Lol. Still love my saddle bag original version. But I am a horsewoman. The boots look like my barn boots.
I love the saddle bag, I know the shape is weird but it just looks beautiful at the same time 😂 I’m with you on the bottega mules, they add 2” to the width of your feet, and for somebody who has wide feet it’s a no go 🙅🏽♀️
I have the Chanel 19 in the shiny burgundy and love love love it :)
I said the 19 wasn't for me. I tried it once in the leather and didn't like it. Last weekend I saw it in dark tweed, and it was love at first sight. I spent an hour in the boutique thinking about it (because I don't have a massive handbag budget), and I'm so glad I bought it. That being said, I'm glad I didn't feel "influenced" since I didn't care about it or look into it specifically beforehand. We all need something different ❤️I agree with you about Dior. It reminds me of the Chloe method, but Dior prices are much higher... Chloe just throws out a new trend bag and sees what sticks. I suspect all of these new Dior bags will come and go, but that's just one woman's opinion 😊
I was so close to go into with a Bobby bag and so glad I didn’t. Seeing it I summer in person really changed my mind. But towards Christmas I gave in and got Chanel 19. I felt like I needed reward for a year of lockdown and home schooling. I do like the bag. It’s less formal then classic flap. Really pleased. And yes to biker boots. Love.love love . Def best trend ever
I fell in love with the Dior Light, even though I don't follow that much fashion on instagram. I thought to myself I found the one piece I will invest in (I didn't think about the fabric being potentially a weakness though, good thinking!!). But I was totally taken aback when I saw that they were AS EXPENSIVE as the leather versions! I thought they were out of their damn mind!!! There is no way I am paying the same price for such a different amount of craftsmanship (I am pretty sure the fabric is machine made, and there is less problematic sewing/glueing than with leather!).
Thanks as always for your brilliant input on fashion.
So true. It happens quite a lot that I see stuff I don’t like on social media, then I get used to it, then it grows on me and then I somehow end up buying things for a ridiculous amount of money. Then I am happy about it and a couple of weeks later I just think „why…“ 🤯
I hope you are alright, Sophie! xx
I like loungewear and athleisure, but I don't buy any designer items. I stick to what I find at my local Walmart, the JCPenney in the mall, Costco (which does carry low-end designer stuff), or even thrift shops. A lot of these clothes I wear to work, and my job isn't the cleanest (I'm a machinist for a firearms company). (Jan Griffiths).
Bought the Chanel 19. Love it.
Just curious is leather as soft as it looks and is it easy to scratch or mess up?
@@dana4552 I have the goat skin. It’s beautifully soft and pillowy, much more durable than one would think. When I carry it, I don’t baby it whatsoever. It really is a beautiful bag.
@@pbrd4695 thank and just out of curiosity is it ok if it gets wet by accident like rain or snow? Cause I know some softer leather bags really loose their shape after being wet.
I love the bobby bag
ONLY YOU would look THIS COOL in ICE CREAM earrings!!!!! Love this look, has quite Japan travels vibes? Looking fab...Now i'm going to start watching this video!! NGL, I need to prevent myself from buying trends...I spend so much time on IG that I end up subconsciously loving trend items and then hating them months later... xxx
Hey Sophie! I was in such a WFH rut lately and I couldn’t figure out why I wasn’t motivated anymore...you made me realize the key is just getting dressed!!! Love your sage advice 😍
I don’t think I’ve even seen a designer handbag in real life, ever, let alone touched one or got to admire one. This is all so fascinating to me!
The 19 bag is so cute! I haven’t seen it in real life but I like the look of it online!
You are so honest and genuine about all this products , I love to watch your videos and your comments ... I am in luxury business for 16years and I appreciate the honesty of the people’s opinion ...
very good observation about the dior bag discontinuation! 🤓 I hadn’t noticed, but after you showed all the ones MGC swapped around, my interest in dior bags have definitely shifted
Sophie, you are loved and respected here because, in my opinion, you have your charisma and personality with due respect of others, instead of just opinions. For the THINGS, they more or less come to our life for purpose of enjoyment, functionality of various purposes. From logic perspective, I would be more interested in kind of thoughts on owned and sold stories because often times it's harder to tell without the experience. Happy New Year.
I still love the Dior Saddle bag and I stand my this statement 😄it’s only because I love horses and equestrian style. I’ve always loved that bag 😄🐴Sophie please please let us know when you’re ending your videos...It’s jarring when you suddenly just stop...it kills me! Just say “talk to you later bye” or something so we can be prepared! 😂😘
I also had the same thoughts on Bottega shoes. Then I bought an “inspired by” mule and let me tell you: they are NOT the same and not even similar. Quality is just completely different. But I only realized this after I got my Bottega. ❤️ and they’re not hard to keep on your feet at all. That can be the case with a cheap version but Bottega is so comfortable! Buy it Sophie😂😊
I think she's just saying, it's easily copied.
Your making me want to buy them lol!
@@mamad5686 no other brand is more copied than LV. Yet people still buy them, Sophie is included. But when you don’t like something, you have all the excuses.
@@moonshineyogi933 if the copy looks so much like the original would you want to pay for the brand name? Yes if its an item that retains its value like LV. Not those slippers.
@@mamad5686 it’s about quality of designer items(in this case it’s the slippers)). And that’s what I meant when I said people still buy original because of the quality difference regardless if they retain value or not. People who enjoy quality products buy them for their own enjoyment and appreciate the quality, it’s not always about if they can retain its value or how often it get copied.
‘The bucket of water that got thrown over the year’ 🤣🤣🤣 I love your videos and hearing what you have to say xx
I have the grey D-Lite and it’s actually really hard wearing. Took it to Spain when we were allowed to travel 😢 was worried about sweat and heat as it was 40 degrees and it still looks brand new!
the CC 19 is a bag that looks awesome in pictures, but every time I've seen it live on someone, it just looks a bit off somehow.... I would however like to get it in the WOC size because it is soft. I reaaaaallly love the Dior Bobby. I think this one could hold quite well. Even if the logo changes, because the bag itself is extremely minimalist.
tbh a few days after buying the chanel 19 bag i was having doubts about my purchase, mainly because it was the most expensive thing i've ever bought and i was wondering if the classic one would have been a better long-term purchase, but i still love my 19 now! it's so soft and pillowy and i think it suits my personal style better. my only gripe with it is that the chain strap isn't adjustable. and those dior boots are gorgeous! good boots are always worth the investment
just wanted to mention that some of the dior bags that you mentioned were discontinued were actually around prior to Maria Grazia and she then removed them! Only the J'Adior one was her design
Ahhh, thank you for saying! I knew quite a lot had come and gone over the years!xx
Totally agree with D-Lite and all the CD logos. D-Lite looks lovely but I wonder how that fabric would wear after rubbing against clothes, maybe fraying?
There are loads of bags that I don't like until I see it in the "right" finish/material. You are not alone there!
I‘m really interested in the DIOR Bobby Bag. I think its really classic and so beautiful!
i like it, it's a classic saddlebag shape
Dear Sophie, thank you for that entertaining video. And I must confess I am guilty of falling for the trends. I love my Chanel 19. For me it is the perfect bag. I got the small model and thank godness it carries a lot. I love that it is so slouchy and for me it is kind of an original Chanel since Coco never was into structured bags. When it comes to the Bobby bag I really like it. It is very 70s but the gold hardware and the prominent logo puts me a bit off. Who knows.. maybe I buy it for summer. And then Bottega! Bottega leather is amazing! And the colors! I checked their homepage yesterday and I fell for a pastel pink mule. So sweet!
I know you love purses, you keep reviewing them, but my new thing is sneakers. Apparently not just me because shopping for new ones for spring, I've never seen so many and so nice. What a delight! I know you have some cool sneakers, would you go over your collection please? Also I love the "trends for 2021" videos, if you're inspired to do one of those too. Thanks for sharing.
I like the chanel 19 in my opinion
I’ve actually thought the same about the Dior bags, although I am genuinely sad that they discontinued the Diorama that looks like the boy bag with the cannage print. But I love my saddle! No one has ever said they they dislike it and people all stare or make comments. I feel like it’s an item that people hate online but in real life don’t ?
I bought a large Chanel 19 and I loveeee it 💓
Agree on everything except the Chanel 19. Love that bag. Bought it in black goatskin last year. It's like an updated version of the classic flap
More more, I love these videos. I have totally been “influenced “ many times to buy things I hated at first 😩 now I’m being strict about ignoring trends and buying the things I’ll love 10 years from now.
Funny when you spot high streets copying designer bags/ items. I noticed river island have some at the moment heavily inspired by the Lady Dior imo. Look at the pink ‘RIR’ jacquard tote bag
Agree with you on all except the 19. I love mine and use it a lot.
I wonder what you think of the vanity bag as a purse. I’m quite liking the Dior and LV ones. In Dior it comes in cannage as you know, so now I wonder if they’ve overdone the cannage pattern.🤔. I quite like them though and am considering.
I nearly screamed when you first stated you were thinking of buying the saddle bag- so gross and yet, I am getting hooked on how good it looks. 100% on Bottega- all of it feels like fast fashion and the mules... they are like Barbie shoes- never stay on properly. No shade to those who love them- we all have our thing.
i agree when I wear unstructured "Gym" wear I feel dumpy and carry myself differently
This top is so pretty! and my gosh... those trendy bags are just waste of money if it doesn't fit your personality, lifestyle and wardrobe. Don't waste your hard earned money if the items doesn't contain those three things.
nice point of views, I do like the mules and I may even by a pair. I have a pair of combat shoes I bought about 3 or 4 years ago from RL. They weren’t too expensive but I can’t wear the high heels anymore. What’s your opinion on chunky sneakers?
I personally really like the Dior Bobby bags but I guess I should wait a bit to see if they'll stick around!
