Epic work. All the lines look good. I can only imagine how much working and reworking you must have done to get it right. I found an original roll of that red pinstripe tape still in its box sitting on a dusty shelf in my parents' garage. I had a go at cutting it thin and putting it round bends, and it still works. Still sticky. must be over 50 years old. That's a good quality product!
It was a bit of a mission, I cant say its accurate really, but it fits my vivion of a dinky toy on steroids now. Thanks for checking the video out. :-)
The contours alone would send me to the nut house! But she's beautiful, the work shows thru. I had my Corgi SPV restored a few years back and it hasn't been its shipping box since! (I do use the repro box he made as a backdrop)
Just outstanding… was really nostalgic for me as I grew up with all the Gerry Anderson stuff as a kid… Captain Scarlett was by far my favourite… more realistic and gritty… you’ve captured it perfectly… WoW ‼️👍🏻👌🏻
Thanks Olly. "Super nostalgia", you are bang on the money there. Yeah, a gritty puppet show, who would have thought it could ever work.... some visionary i guess..:-) Thanks for checking it out.
Hi Andy. Amazing work as usual 👏. I had to laugh, though. You said that the SPV was a good kit - and the proceeded to change almost everything on it! 😆 The final result is beautiful. The weathering on the other truck was entrancing to watch and a real masterclass. I love the way you got the impression of a double door at the back purely through the use of paint. Hopefully we will be treated to your videos more often in the New Year 🤞. In the meantime, Happy Christmas!
Yes, Its a great kit, but i do have a habit of modifying pretty much everything i touch. Its my curse i guess LOL. . The weathering is pretty simple on the truck, and i will probably embellish it a little over time. but im loving the cleaner lines of the SPV, so i only gave it a tickle. Thanks for checking it out spacedock. :-)
@APmodels very kind Andy, but I have to say you have a couple of great models there, having the bravery to alter Mamas's kit to look more like the studio model and attention to detail is just fantastic ..... keep up the good work mate 👍
Thanks for that, I will stash that inof for next time. I remember Letraset . Im kind of glad i went with the pin tape, i have many frustrating memories of getting Letraset to go on back in the day :-). Thanks for checking it out, and the info.
Love it Andy did you ever view the new captain scarlet CGI series perhaps you could build a vehicle from that show a duznik perchance😂😂😂😂?. Regards Regards 😊
Hey mate. I hope you are doing well. Maybe see you in 2025 if you are visiting MCR. I wonder if you kept any of those models you had in your bedroom in the 80’s?
@@APmodels Hi Andy, great models. The rear lights were LES Panel lights/indicators, originally supplied by RS (Radio Spares). They turn up occasionally on eBay, although are rarer than rocking horse poo. They appear on a few other Anderson vehicles/sets, including the Joe 90 Explosive Truck, Colonel White's desk and inside TB2's cockpit.
@@APmodels Yes, same lights used on Colonel Whites Consel and other sets for Thunderbirds to Scarlet, Joe 90 etc RS (radio Spares panel lights, no longer made.
Incredible modelling skills , lm loving the SPV vehicle, and the truck loooks great too 👍
What superb work. I am a lifelong fan of all things Anderson and love what you have done.

The Lights are RS spares, unfortunately no longer available, I got two from a guy cleaning out an old garage.
Awesome. Could you elaborate a little on the RS if possible. Sounds like you had a great garage find there 🙂 Thanks for watching the video.
