- Two of my most commented videos are a budget vinyl setup guide and a controller recommendation. Since I made those two videos, a lot has changed in DJ tech, so I thought I'd make this updated version with my current recommendations.
i find your videos super helpful bro! actually struggling to find relevant entry level vinyl setup gear guides like yours. are you planning on doing an updated one for 2024?
What would you recommend for a hybrid setup? - for someone who wants to mix vinyl and digital.
Solid super OEM turntables (or 1200s) and a Pioneer S5 or S7

I have a question. I have a lot of older gear lying around and I'm saving up for new next-gen gear (probably mid-2024).
In regard of the Reloop Flux, is it possible to hook up, lets say, the Gemini CDMP-7000 to the Flux in order to get it to work with Serato DJ ?
I already bought Serato DJ Pro (I know the Flux comes with Pro, but that's okay for me).

PS: Oh by the by, you mentioned you would always advice Technics, but they're built by Audio-Technica).
I’m not 100% certain but I’m guessing you could plug the Gemini into the Flux and run it off HID mode in Serato, but since the Gemini is a standalone controller, wouldn’t that defeat its main feature since you wouldn’t need a laptop for it?
@@RyanFreshhh Yah, well, the thing is, I love to use Serato and because I'm using Tidal as my main source for music I don't use the CDMP-7000 anymore (well, almost never).
@@YouriHL ah, gotcha! In theory, it should work in HID mode, but I’m not sure.
