The series centers on the fictional British government agency MI: 13, which is dedicated to protecting the United Kingdom from supernatural threats. The main strikeforce is led by the superhero Captain Britain (Brian Braddock), and consists of various Marvel Comics characters that are of British descent or have a connection to the country. The series launched as a tie-in to the Secret Invasion

We need Midnight Sons with Dr. Strange, Ghost Rider, Blade, Black Knight, and Moon Knight. Those are the characters I would definitely want in the group, it would be even better if they added like Punisher and Wolverine but I just don't see it happening
"Death is my reward" might be a ... "double edged sword," so to speak. Death is your reward if you succumb to the curse, death is your reward if you're strong enough to resist it, because then you mete out death, and though you resist the curse, you may end up taking pleasure in death because of it. So, a reward in a way.
Ready for a medieval themed marvel movie. It's just when the MCU is just starting to get stale, Marvel always has something new to spice things up and make things exciting
@stryfetc1 Like just a hint. I was getting bored by maybe 1% then now I'm absolutely hyped by the supernatural aspect with Blade, Moon Knight and Black Knight
@stryfetc1 Nah the whole cosmic and space stuff is getting stale. Need something more grounded to break things up. The Spiderman movie and this new blade, moon knight stuff is luckily seems to be just that. I have been heavy leaning on DC content due to this reason. Same thing happened when the game industry suddenly went WW1/2, or futuristic stuff before that.
In the comics, there's a pocket dimension known as "Otherworld" that serves as a nexus of all realities (see: Captain Britain Corps). Within Otherworld are Avalon & Tir na Nog, landmasses which are shaped by the collective subconscious of the British Isles. King Arthur & Camelot originally existed on our Earth, but were transferred to Otherworld (Avalon) by Merlin after the kingdom's fall on Earth. Now the figures from Arthurian legend live on as myth-beings in Otherworld whose existences are defined by the subconscious of the people of the British Isles.
I'm pretty intrigued in how the Black Knight will work in the MCU. I remember him as one of the Avengers way back when, and remember being surprised that Valkyrie's winged horse was originally the Black Knight's specially bread steed. I wonder if Aragon will make an appearance anywhere. I know Valkyrie was riding her winged steed in Endgame but we don't know whether its her Asgard mount or where it came from. I always thought Black Knight was an interesting character and I'm looking forward to seeing how he'll be used in Blade and the rest of the MCU. Thanks Charlie!
From what I've heard, it seems that Blade's role in the post credits scene is going to be an ongoing thing that will continue with Moon Knight, Morbius, etc as a Nick Fury type thing if you remember the original MCU post credits scenes with Fury assembling the Avengers, but with Blade assembling the Midnight Sons. The Midnight Sons being like Marvel's supernatural version of the Avengers.

If he teams up with Balde and used the Ebony Blade to kill vampires or other monsters, does it have the same effect in terms of his blood lust like it would if the blade was used to kill normal humans? Or is it just any death caused by the blade deepens the corruption of the Black Knight?
Black Knight is interesting character that I jus found out about. I can’t wait to see him on screen again with Blade. I would love to see what other connections he has well.
Thank you for making this video, Charlie! I haven't read much Black Knight comics. I read only a couple a long time ago, and I dont even remember them because the stories weren't that good, just to be honest. But I do remember that the Black Knight is basically Omega level when he wields the blade. Like, Thor and Dr Strange levels of power.
I remember the first time I heard they were making an iron man movie and thought it was going to look just bad and being such a big fan as a kid it blew my mind when I saw it and to see the level they've gotten to I hope people really appreciate what we are getting to see
I woulda laughed if someone told me that one day, an Ant-Man or Shang-Chi film was gonna happen, or someone like the Guardians of the Galaxy that I barely knew anything of beforehand
It would be cool if they made the ebony blade another original symbiote sword like Knulls Necrosword, since Gorr is coming, and Merlin didn't forge it from the meteorite but found it inside.
"Among the dirt and slag, securely, in the very center, the grain of Perfection is hidden". It was Dane Whitman teasing his meteorite sword or his soul. One out of two. But, I also think that the sword was just hidden in a stone, like an infinity stone in a cube.
also, morgan le fay is a main antagonist in cloak and dagger - i know that shows in canon limbo, but it’s small scale enough that it could fit into mcu canon. expecting stuff like that to keep in touch into feige’s vision is a lot to expect lmao
A Disney+ series about the history of the Ebony Blade could be a cool way to show the back story and properly introduce Camelot and Merlin, and use it to set-up the other Ebony items for future inclusion
Michael Moorcock's Elric and Stormbringer, Dungeons and Dragons' black razor.... the list goes on. What was the first black soul sucking sword that all of the others copied?
Do you think Kit Harrington's Dane_Whitman Black Knight should get his own movie or Disney Plus show where Dreadknight is the main villain? Does Dane_Whitman know the art of fencing so that he could wield the Ebony Blade?
You forgot my favorite Ebony Blade ability…. The Ebony Blade can teleport its master to its location at will. That’s part of the bond it forms with the holder. It doesn’t like to be separated from them.
Actually, there are a lot of Black Knights througout history. People tend to think there are only three: Sir Percy of Scandia, Nathan Garrett and Dane Withman. But there are two other "Black Knights" from the Dark Ages: Sir Raston, the Nephew of Sir Percy and Eobar Garrington, who crusaded with Richard 1 the Lionheart. In a "limited series"; Dane Withman travels back in time and "bonds" with his ancestor Eobar Garrington. In a renewed version from a few years back; Sir Percy was given a twin brother: Richard, who was to take on the mantle of the Black Knight. In this storyline Richard takes up both the mantle of the Black Knight as the identity of his brother, after the latter had been murdered by Mordred (assuming it was Richard).
Amazing video, I like your black knight videos explanation a lot :)Happy weekend to you Charlie, and can't wait for more Black Knight videos. How about history of he black knight with his enemies and avengers, and also with blade? :)
Thanks for all you do.. I’m pretty sure you talked about this already.. But what metal was Thanos’s blade …because it broke Cap’s shield. Thanks again… Keep up the good work!!!!
I love mortal heroes who are a specialist in a specific area. Like Black Knight is a specialist in magic. I realy hope they give him a lot screen time.
I'm gonna be honest, I had no idea who the Black Knight was when I saw Eternals. I knew of him from Lego Superheroes 2 lol, but nothing in depth. I started reading the 2021 comic "Black Knight: Curse of the Ebony Blade" and I'm gonna be completely honest, he's growing to be one of my favorite Marvel characters ever. I love the connection with Arther and Ser Percy and Camelot. The Ebony Blade might be my favorite weapon in all of Marvel for its good design to its backstory. Everything about it is perfect. I absolutely need more of Kit Harrington's Black Knight, he was the absolute perfect casting option for him. You know, I was already excited for the Blade movie, but ooooh boy am I even more ready.
MCU might combine Ebony Blade and The Necrosword into one weapon, considering we see The Ebony blade has symbiotic properties..and Gorr is already here.
As a young child, I was always excited when the Black Knight showed up in whatever Marvel comic I was reading at the time. I was always fascinated with Medieval Knights and Superheroes and the Black Knight is a combination of both. So needless to say, I’m pretty excited to see Kit Harrington in his complete Black Knight Costume with the Ebony Blade in all of its glory. I never thought we’d ever see Characters like the Black Knight and Moon Knight in live action and here we are! I’m so pumped for Moon Knight and I can’t wait to see The Black Knight in his next MCU outing.
Black Knight/ Dane Whitman is as brilliant an engineer as Tony Stark and gifted with historical knowledge as Captain America. Black Knight is invulnerable, able to deflect dark magic, tied to Magik, plus noted with Dr. Strange.
I wouldn't be surprised if they change it so Dane Whitman's Uncle...The Black Knight before Dane, was Whistler in his younger days. And the reason Blade knows about the Ebony Blade is because he knew Whistler and all his secrets. The Ebony Blade traps the Souls of its Victims. But...since Vampires have no soul...maybe Whistler as Black Knight... would have exploited that and used the Blade solely to kill Vampires at one point. Therefore not "Corrupting" Whistler as much as it would've if he were slaying beings with Souls. It's the perfect loophole I think.
When I first saw that post-credits scene, I’d thought Blade escaped from being trapped in the Ebony Blade (after having been killed by the Black Knight) to warn Dane about its dangers. Now I’m thinking Blade probably just teleported to Dane to warn him, and thus was never killed. Woulda been badass if it’s established that he was killed by the Black Knight tho.
What I have difficulty understanding is how the blade's survived so long ? If it's such a corrupt object, you'd think that they'd try to destroy it or bury it beyond retrieval. So the premise in the next related film will be that Dane Whitman will be in danger of becoming a villan basically or rather struggling to control the blood lust that the Ebony Blade develops in the person who wields it ?
I love how the Ebony Blade feels alive they really nailed that part I'm hoping that it shows Dane the memories of first Black Knight his ancestor Percy in a tv show or a movie. Also I really hope that Doctor Strange steps in with Clea and they find a way to remove the curse so Dane can keep the Ebony Blade becuase it's so damn cool plus it be a nice change from the Comics. So this leads to the four going to both Johnny Blaze and Marc Spector/Steven Grant/Jake Lokley for a team up in a Midnight Suns Movie. (They could also tease future heroes like Elsa Bloodstone & Brother Voodoo)
Jack Whyte wrote a historical fiction series about the rise of Arthur. The first book is called "Skystone" where Excalibur was forged from a meteorite.
The way you were talking about the sword being made from a substance of a meteor just comes to show the mindset of Stan Lee, we have different types of hero's that are effected by some form of a meteor. Now for Kevin to use his imagination to help explore these worlds and make them a reality and so far he's done great!
Ahh the Ebony Blade is Dawn forged from the heart of a fallen star and it can go to anyone in the family. So it could actually cut through vibranium and Adamantium.
I hope they explain why Dane Whitman thinks that he has to touch the Ebony Blade. My reaction would be to encase it in concrete and dump it into the ocean near a subduction zone.
I would love to see Black Knight in other MCU projects. I would love to see an MCU version of the Midnight Sons with Dr. Strange, Blade, Moon Knight, Elsa Bloodstone, Black Knight, Ghost Rider and Werewolf as the line up. I loved it when Marvel made it so the Ebony Blade can resurrect anyone who carries the blood of King Arthur. It can resurrect Black Knight because Sir Percy was Arthurs cousin
Do you guys think dc could beat marvel this year in terms of ticket sales? I think the Batman, the flash, black Adam, and aqua man 2 will put up a good fight
They should have made Kit become the Black Knight in the Eternals. It might have helped make the movie a little more interesting and not a complete waste of time.
Otherwotld and Merlin have not been denied, they haven’t even been hinted at. To everyone Merlin was a sorcerer, but secretly he is an extra dimension al being. That will be reveled in Captain Britain or another supernatural movie.
How long do we have to wait for us to see Dane_Whitman become the Black Knight in the MCU and what was up with the voice of Blade in the post credit scene of the Eternals movie?
Me in general I'll like to see black knight, thena and ikaris and sure we'll get moon knight, ms marvel and other characters coming up in this future of heroes very great to be a fan
Maybe she told him to make his peace because his uncle was gonna die, an the uncle told him about his history but also kept him away from the blade .. an he was talkin to his uncle at the end before Blade spoke .. it could still follow the comics as his uncle passes everything to him but with a condition to stay away from the blade !!
2:15-2:24 The movie actually implied that Dane didn’t know his family’s Black Knight history until after he called his uncle. 10:53 If that is the case, it wouldn’t be the first time Kit Harington used a special sword to fight the undead.
Death is My reward Means the suffering they will endure will lead them to seek death as a means to an end of the said curse Aka you're reward, you're salvation or escape from it is only death.
Maybe their setting up a Midnight Sons series that could even include Helstrom and fold in the darker MCU and even Mephisto and even with Agatha and Wanda

@@G17x shows how ignorant you are then lmao
@@alternateperez4086 Huh?
It would be cool if they made the ebony blade another original symbiote sword like Knulls Necrosword, since Gorr is coming, and Merlin didn't forge it from the meteorite but found it inside.
"Among the dirt and slag, securely, in the very center, the grain of Perfection is hidden". It was Dane Whitman teasing his meteorite sword or his soul. One out of two. But, I also think that the sword was just hidden in a stone, like an infinity stone in a cube.
The more Kit Harrington the better! Bring on the Black Knight!
also, morgan le fay is a main antagonist in cloak and dagger - i know that shows in canon limbo, but it’s small scale enough that it could fit into mcu canon. expecting stuff like that to keep in touch into feige’s vision is a lot to expect lmao
A Disney+ series about the history of the Ebony Blade could be a cool way to show the back story and properly introduce Camelot and Merlin, and use it to set-up the other Ebony items for future inclusion
Which with recent comics is related to both Kang and the Mutants it will be interesting
Michael Moorcock's Elric and Stormbringer, Dungeons and Dragons' black razor.... the list goes on. What was the first black soul sucking sword that all of the others copied?
These characters deserves a darker tone. Hopefully Marvel Studios does that.
The breakdown of Black Knight now has me excited to see what Marvel does with character moving forward
Please tell me we get to see a Blade, Moon Knight and Black Knight team up in the future.
I feel like I’m going to really enjoy this character, I’m a big MCU fan as well as a GOT fan
A Black Knight Disney Plus series would be an awesome gift from Marvel
Interesting! I look forward to how the mysterious events unfold!👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Do you think Kit Harrington's Dane_Whitman Black Knight should get his own movie or Disney Plus show where Dreadknight is the main villain? Does Dane_Whitman know the art of fencing so that he could wield the Ebony Blade?
Or does he just gain that knowledge as one of the "powers"?
That voice just before he touched the blade gave me goosebumps.
what happens when the ebony blade slices threw something that has "no soul" perse? Would it drive the wielder crazy still?
You forgot my favorite Ebony Blade ability…. The Ebony Blade can teleport its master to its location at will. That’s part of the bond it forms with the holder. It doesn’t like to be separated from them.
Bottom of the ocean could be awkward.
He mentioned that. When he was talking about it being buried under a castle.
I want more more of all this. I'd love to see a old story on arthur and merlin with the original black Knight
The “ebony blade/dark saber” is how they bring StarWars into the MCU
This is about to be the best John snow prequel yet. Lol
Thanks for these amazing breakdowns!
My pleasure!
Thanks for all you do..
I’m pretty sure you talked about this already..
But what metal was Thanos’s blade …because it broke Cap’s shield.
Thanks again…
Keep up the good work!!!!
I love mortal heroes who are a specialist in a specific area. Like Black Knight is a specialist in magic. I realy hope they give him a lot screen time.
BEST PART IN THE WHOLE MOVIE
Always killing it and dropping content my man!!!
Thanks man!
That would be terrible
I don't think that will be the case here.
It's blood magic, it the blood of the victim that got killed by the sword
@@bashengatheblackmanta7003 in the comics..but mcu is different..look at Stormbreaker and Ultimate Mjolnir.
@@ivankarim8678 that's what l always say in my head, not everything will be like the comics (which is sometime a good thing)
i think they picked hohn snow for a reason,he has experience with swords than most actors
Can't wait for more black knight in the mcu!
It's interesting how far Camelot has traveled from years before our current day and now into the mcu
Black Knight/ Dane Whitman is as brilliant an engineer as Tony Stark and gifted with historical knowledge as Captain America.
Black Knight is invulnerable, able to deflect dark magic, tied to Magik, plus noted with Dr. Strange.
Black Knight will be connected with Blade/ Eric Brooks later on and will be component against Scarlet Witch/Chthon after cursed by the Darkhold.
His relationship with his uncle has been weird since Game of Thrones.
And aunt as well.
Maybe they keep the blade to use when needed. You always need someone to do the dirty jobs, ebony blade is for that.
How do you download the video clips for your edits. Videos look great!
A Black Knight series would be amazing
“Mors mihi lucrum” on the inside of the box means “death is my gain” so that isn’t ominous at all
but the blade acts like symbiote in the after credit. isnt in the comic knull made it? isnt it like necrosword? a form of symbiote?
I wonder if they were alluding to Thena being the "lady of the lake" with this part of the scene too?
It’s interesting how close you are/were to what the team would look like, only real change would be Dr Strange for Man-Thing
Everyone thought blades voice was the watcher when I went to see eternals in theater.
Do you guys think dc could beat marvel this year in terms of ticket sales? I think the Batman, the flash, black Adam, and aqua man 2 will put up a good fight
@@michaelnkomphela8231 and shang chi beat out venom 2 stateside
They should have made Kit become the Black Knight in the Eternals. It might have helped make the movie a little more interesting and not a complete waste of time.
so sorry you felt you wasted your time
Otherwotld and Merlin have not been denied, they haven’t even been hinted at. To everyone Merlin was a sorcerer, but secretly he is an extra dimension al being. That will be reveled in Captain Britain or another supernatural movie.
Hey Charlie, have you seen that interview that just came out of Tom, Andrew, and Toby all together?
You have the best info on the marvel and star wars stuff out on UA-cam.
An anthology series of the blade through time would be dope
Black Knight rocks!
How long do we have to wait for us to see Dane_Whitman become the Black Knight in the MCU and what was up with the voice of Blade in the post credit scene of the Eternals movie?
Ive actully stopped watching MCU stuff, but I am ALL IN for this Dark MCU. Blade, Black Knight, Moon Knight, Dark Sun stuff, GIMME DAT
I really feel like The Black Knight is basically a Marvel Eldritch Knight lol. Straight up bound weapon and everything! 🤣
With how everything is flopping now, who knows what will happen
2:15-2:24 The movie actually implied that Dane didn’t know his family’s Black Knight history until after he called his uncle.
10:53 If that is the case, it wouldn’t be the first time Kit Harington used a special sword to fight the undead.
But that wouldn't make it a secret would it. If he just learned about it, it would just be "news"
Death is My reward
Means the suffering they will endure will lead them to seek death as a means to an end of the said curse
Aka you're reward, you're salvation or escape from it
is only death.
Maybe their setting up a Midnight Sons series that could even include Helstrom and fold in the darker MCU and even Mephisto and even with Agatha and Wanda
i wonder if the black knight will get his own Disney+ show after blade
