I would advise to 1.pull the power plug 2.remove the Antipopcorn attatchment 3. rotate the burr by hand until you hear the burrs touching Thats removing the risk of damaging the burrs.
This doesn't 'adjust' anything. It establishes where the so called Zero Point is. And frankly that ring is one of the dumbest things I've ever seen. I know that it was a darling of the community that grew in response to the shortcomings of the original DF64 but what it does is so trivial that it has almost no point. Do you know what would have been helpful? A mark on the housing to align the grind adjustment ring with. But 2 seconds with a Sharpie solves that.
Agree. Is there a way, I'm wondering, to adjust the burrs or something else to reset the zero point to straight downwards centered on the spout? Having my little ring point to around 5 o'clock is odd to me and bothers me. Yes, this is a first-world problem...but I paid a lot for this thing.
@@boorayin2773 you're doing ok, buddy. mine ring is pointing to around 1 o'clock. yes, you red it right. it points towards the back. I might disassamble and reassemble everything to see if I can get it at least towards 5 - 7 range.

This saved me- thanks!
I have deep cleaned my df64 and my zero point readjustment has changed to zero point which had before is this a bad thing?
I just received my DF54, should i do this with my grinder?
There is no need
Is it possible to adjust the d40+ zero point ?
The printed lable is not adjustable on D40+. These numbers are relative.
