omg its amazing how we just think how our old furniture font work and we throw it out.... ur steps are great ill work on it tomorrow. my husband has never the time..... HOME DEPOT here i come.... Even buy a roll of fabric and change the color to my furniture....

Just needed this 8 years later. Got a faulty couch from a mishandled JEROME'S delivery last wek. Reported it an hour after delivery when we finished cleaning around it. One week later, literally got up from seated position and snap. If they don't get back to me, I may as well just do this and make it even better than ever. XD Just chiming in. Thanks for this!!

good fix but on the new legs i nail a chair slide on the bottom so it slides better than raw wood on the floor or carpet
I have the same problem in my coach, so don’t need to glue the pieces together? And do you have to add that extra piece of legs?
Thank you so much! I searched and searched and couldn't find the answers to my frame repair. I added an extra seat to my sofa and the joining piece just won't stay together. Do you think I can just attach a single 2x6 board the length of the front of th frame to secure it? I tried corner braces, t braces, nothing is working, thanks ahead of time. Oh, how long was/is this sofa?

I have the same exact sectional and it broke the sane way. Tried fixing it the sane but my screws went go through the wood. What am I doing wrong
Will the same method work if it's broken right in the middle where that back beam is located or would I have to replace the whole strip
+kimmy1205 Ideally replacing the whole board would be best. This held up for me for 3 years then the couch was replaced.
I have the same problem in my couch, so you don’t have to glue the broken pieces together? And do you need to add those extra legs for this to work?
Sorry I missed this. Using wood glue on everything would be the proper way to do it.
can you come fix my couch? I wish you had my couch. So I would know how to fix the cushions that are not removable.. they are driving me nuts!
