There is literally no way, especially in todays standarts for a Inline 4 turbo engine to sound incredible
What are you talking about? You most definitely can.
Catless downpipe, no particulate filters, titanium catback, different turbo manifold and a different turbo, valve springs/retainers to raise the redline, cams, intake manifold, and so on.
There are tons of things you can do and you don’t even have to do much.
Maybe it’s different for you, but everyone can do this in America (except communist states like California) and get away with it.
I agree 99%, but some cars do a good job with the right setup

Sounds good. Its the correct choice kerping it valved.
Get it back on the dyno now it has the more free flowing exhaust so your print out starts with a 5
Good job again guys, looking foward to seeing what you do next, sounds ok, I have the cobra sport cat back rear box delete non resonated valved exhaust , however without the sports cat and tune , I’ve gotta admit it sounds quite similar !
Did you know when doing a launch control you can shift up and the rpm’s wil go up too in launch control. For example like the M3 f80/M4 f82

Interesting, I would love to see a feature to push the clutch in when you’re moving like some of the 911’s have when you press both paddles at the same time

The 911 GT cars come with the feature to disengage the clutch when you press both paddles at the same time, so you can clutch dump. Can be tuned in other cars, but nobody does it.
Technically you can just downshift and floor it at the same time, Audi’s and VW’s can do it on the dual clutch cars if you know how to. It engages antilag and takes off
Sounds great and so good how it can be turned right down with the modes still.

What a car, it’s amazing that 2.0 litre engine , sounds like a race car even more now and faster than the 4.0 V8 normally aspirated and a lot more economical🤙🏁
Turbo charge a v8 and it beats this 😂 and doesnt sound any better than a 4.0 either lol

I think you have made a good choice. I’ll probably do the same sort of setup, but not tune it # warranty
If you don't tune it, but put on full bolt-ons, your engine is far more likely to fail. You're fkng up your air/Fuel ratio (AFR)
@@The_THX_1138 nah AFR is closed loop so it will automatically adjust it self. Wastegate will be off for sure, the PI D loop will have.a hard time keeping up.
I think the exhaust you went for is spot on, run a res deleted S3 and when you boot it it's great but the drone is awful, run in comfort mode now because in dynamic it's just unbearable! Hope to follow you with an A45 in the near future so interested to see where you take it!
It still sounds like a 4 pot though 😕 too chavvy with the pops and bangs for that car, it doesn't suit it.
Of course it sounds like a four pot, it is a four pot😂

You are in fact able to change the tips, they can be pulled off with just a few bolts taken off

Bought one of these for my wife last year. Had it just over 3 months and it broke down. Ended up having to reject because they couldn’t fix it for over a month. She’s got an RSQ3 now and loves it. Mercedes finance was horrendous. The car was uncomfortable, gearbox was terrible, all in all it was a bit shit.
I can not film mine properly - dont have a good camera, mobile doenst pick up any of the sound

Im so jealous because here in Germany the authorities are so brutal and controlling, you won’t get your car through the technical inspection by the authorities. They will notice every single change of sound or weldseam in the exhaust which is super frustrating because the stock sound is terrible
is it possible for the pops and cracks to stay as standard if i switch an ECU or exhaust? or are the pops going to change if i change one?
and how did you turn down the cars fake noise?
I have a M140i with a double res delete and sports back box, it has natural pops and bangs which are not like the people who map pops and bangs so it does not happen every time you accelerate. But you can still get a map with no additional pops or bangs
@@M140i23 a own an a45s, which also has its natural pops, and I wish for those pop frequencies to stay like that, even after I switch exhaust or ecu, is that possible?

Ive had an M2 (RWD) and test drove an a45S the other day. Absolutely completely different- a45 is so numb and boring in comparison with the 4WD and the lack of sound. Very capable car performance wise just lacking most things which a pure driving enthusiast would want.
@@MrSirAmazing905 Definitely not saying it's a better car overall, the A45 S beats the old M2 in almost every category and as a daily driver I'd take one in a heartbeat. But the question was 'which is better to drive' - and a lot of people would agree that the M2 wins that one. Driving feel and enjoyment > performance.
@@MrSirAmazing905 Of course it’s down to personal taste and having owned those cars you may prefer the way 4WD drives. But in my opinion if you want a car that rewards you for driving it well, RWD is the way to go.
The new M2 is an incredible all rounder, like all new cars it will lack feel and character versus older models but that’s just how cars are these days. Personally I’d rather a cayman GT4 at the price point but obviously the M2 is more practical if that’s a consideration.
Depends were u live. 4wd 100% better in the UK were it's start/stop and capped at 70 mph on motorway. If u want drag races again 4wd... RWD is only good abroad in Europe countries etc.. or if u want slightly more fun without getting anywhere. U always have drift mode arguably better than a RWD car overall.
@@suhail1200 Agreed, just depends what you want from the car, if grip off the line is what you need then awd is the choice every time. But personally I think the awd + auto cars feel numb and boring to drive. Cars with drift mode definitely do make them a good option for someone that wants both. If you want a challenge and have to actually think about how you drive the car then it’s RWD you want.
Looks like a Ford Focus or a Peugeot 308 - boring😅 should of done a classic Merc design for views like a CLA sedan shape
This car gets too much hate, the RS3 has the edge but these are just as good if not better, until the 8Y has an ECU unlock.

@performance_motorsport I get 11.8 stock as a rock in my a45s, for a street car not even v8's can keep up without full slicks and lumpy camshafts

@@GizmoGTIi have a v8 that does a 10.1 at 135mph stock turbos, street tyres. Course v8’s can keep up with it, and theres much faster v8’s than mine ( i know yous are speaking about merc’s mines an audi i know, but in general)
Appreciate the content but this is probably one of the most boring cars to watch a series on. Watching a 700bhp rwd car was incredible..
4 cilinders vs 6 cilinders is just day and night.
Even if you have the same power output the 6 cilinder car is just so much smoother to drive.

A45s content isnt as common as the m140/m240i content though.Stage 3 a45s will be a monstrous weapon.That I'd honestly like to see
Mark my words : the C63 E-Performance will be less spectacular, worse to drive and worse sounding than this.
The CLA45 will be pretty much the modern C63 and the C63 E-Performance will be more like a heavy E-Class.
He’ll be moaning about how much this one cost to run soon just like his V8 M3!🙄
