Certain woman have been doing this for a long time. This method is at least 75 years old . I remember reading the female movie stars of the 1920s and 1930s used to do this as they grew older. Not a new idea at all. Used openly in the famous film ‘Sunset Boulevard’ with William Holden and Gloria Swanson.

I’ve bought these kind in the video numerous times and even the ones that are like bands with the tape already on connected one piece..
I clean the areas with alcohol, let dry , but the moment I put makeup on or sweat, moisture etc, the come flinging off!!😩

Skin will do that anyways with gravity and loss of collagen with aging. Do what makes you happy and what’s safe is my recommendation.
I actually have tried that with scotch tape just to see what I would look like minus the last five hellacious years. I also put masking tape between my eyes on my 11’s sometimes while I sleep. It keeps me from frowning while sleeping, and there’s absolutely no wrinkles there in the morning. I recently found out pageant contestants do it too.

Hey instead of tape when you go to bed, try moleskin. Just cut it to size. Very comfortable
There is actually a product called "Frownies", facial tape. Hollywood Star's used it secretly for years, & then it was eventually released to the public.
The only thing is, you probably have to use it consistently, & then that would mean not being able to use all the good anti-aging products on your skin, because obviously you can't use both at the same time.
I think overtime, the anti-aging products would be more beneficial. Probably using a gua-sha tool, facial massage, and acupuncture, would work better to release tight musculature in the face, helping to relax lines & furrows then those "Frownies" tapes. However, I guess if one were home & not planning on going out for the day, you could get some benefit from them that way.

But you know it stretches the skin. So it will produce an ugly problem in the future. I received a huge black eye from a car accident in my 20's. I am 61 now but the skin around that eye is stretched out and it looks bad. I wouldn't use the tape if I were a young person. However it might help me now since surgery is not in my budget. ?? What do you think Dr. Rajani? P

Yes it’s been around for a while but usually older women tend to do. My concern is stretching the skin especially the thin skin around eyes. Imagine going on a date and waking up once tape is removed lol. There’s also tape for the body example control flabby upper arms.

Dear Dr this is MY dirty little secret ---- but not the tape! 6 years ago I had a high SMAS and the scarring was terrible, so I started wearing a wig. Sure, the SMAS did it's thing, but since then the wig tension gives me the edge (a tight fit cap) im sure the ladies whom install lace front units can relate. The downside of course is stress alopecia around the temples, over time, I don't agree it encourages saggy skin though. My skin has remained pretty taught. But then, it's a balanced whole face pull not just the 'bella brow' area.

Oh wow wearing a wig is horrible feeling. I am scared of cold but I can't imagine wearing a wig in the hot weather.
Something additional I would have to do most days. Anyway, doing this over time will make the problem worse so if you have sagging skin get it fixed and be done with it.

So true, the skin will stay stretched when it is already lax. So in the long run it will be disastrous unless a face lift is done.
No....I would be worried about an allergic reaction to the adhesive. However, I did try the hair clips with that rubber band to give a look of a face lift. Totally bogus and returned because it did not work. Unfortunately, I have found quick fixes do not work. Looking good is hard work!!! :(

False, the minute you sweat one side will pop right off. I’ve tried the ones in this video and 2 other brands, they claim water/sweat proof but that’s B.S, the adhesive is clearly NOT STRONG enough!!!

Hi Dr. Can you do a video about using Tretinoin with home device red light LED masks? Is it ok? Can we use Tretinoin in the morning and the LED mask at night? I read that using the LED masks first and then Tretinoin helps your skin face absorb Tretinoin more effectively. Hope you’d be able to address these issues in a video. Thank you..
It's recommended to use tretinoin at night.

Take it easy with Tret. I find absorption of Tret pretty effective without light therapy personally - a small amount every other night mixed with vitamin C serum 😊👌

You don’t even need tape. Practice to lift your outer brow with lifting your temple muscles without creating wrinkles. I’m so used to this because it was thought in acting school in Berlin and don’t even notice it anymore. It makes quite the difference.
I don’t know which muscles you’re talking about but it seems like very hard to isolate
@@swtstgrlcaroline it can be hard based on individual muscle structure and strength of those. Try above your ears. Imagine you want to pull your ears and temples up and back without raising the forehead.

The pull from the tape is uncomfortable and not easy to hide. Also, the tape gets caught in your hair.
Hi doctor, I started to use your vitamin c serum. Is it ok to use it alone as a moisturizer. My skin is very sensitive to sunscreen. What can I use instead of sunscreen. For now , I wash my face with CeraVe cleanser n I apply your vitamin c serum. Doc what can I expect to see using vitamin serum please. I have few brown spots.
