That Golf only had 65k miles on it and had a valid MOT! MOT history shows the last owned didn't really care about it, sadly. Amazing what people throw away; such a wasteful society. Good video tho showing how the process should be done with the right equipment. Your crane operator definitely knows how to get the job done!
REMEMBER THE 10 year RULE.It is ILLEGAL to scrap a car UNDER 10 years old UNLESS it is a WRITE OFF. This law exists to stop the slaughter of perfectly good cars being scrapped prematurely which is a wicked waste & is BAD for the enviorment.SMITHYSVILLE is campaigning for the non destructive recycling of end of life vehicles so EVERYTHING is SALVAGED & only the empty body is crushed.0000 must go into landfill. With the coming of Hybrid & Electric vehicles these MUST be DESIGNED & Built so they can be Remanafactured & recycled non destructively & should be kept out of traditional scrapyards as they are too technically advanced to be treated in this way. Instead the makers that made them in the first place should buy back the vehicles the made & be required by law to set up DECONSTRUCTION LINES so the end of life vehicles are deconstructed on the same lines by the same machines which have been reversed to "DECONSTRUCTION MODE" This is how the future should be.
That VW Golf looked to be in perfectly good condition
Bet the engine stripper guy would win arcade grabbers every time 😄
😂
That Golf looked very clean indeed, even underneath. With that mileage and 11 months MOT, it would easily have sold for £800 to £1000 on Ebay or Gumtree if it had been mechanically sound, and made a nice car for someone.
If you were looking for parts for these cars they wouldn't be too cheap...pure waste !!!!
The golf looked in good condition and was MOT’d till December 2021, wonder what caused the owner to scrap it?
Only just had over 60k on the clock as well
@@Epic_RC_Time
I know !
New set of tyres, brakes and a few other bits and that would have been a very tidy car for very little money.
Love this content. Would be interesting to see more of the yard in action in more detail, and a wonder through your stock. Any rare cars?
Definitely not his first go in that grab!
Great content 👍🏼
Very interesting.Poor old golf it didnt look that bad bodywork wise.x
Awesome always wanted to run my own yard your a luck young man pal inherit that in time to come.

Just came across your content. Absolutely spot on. Natural. Man who knows his Buisness from bottom to top. Big things too come lad. Boom 💥
Just subbed and i love this shit, geeza going about his life sharing knowledge and entrepreneurial ideas. Gotta rate it.
I’m one of those sad-o’s who wonder around places like this just to have a look at the scrap piles. You’d be surprised what places like this just crush or throw away.... but that proves how much can be made in the crusher compared to trying to sell stuff on
Quality video once again ! Live & breathe this game , keep the content coming mate 👍🏻🔝
thanks mate
I'm surprised cars get this far without the body work and doors being resold for parts??
Well done young man. Wish you success
Interesting to see the workings of your yard !!! Nice
Top man, top content as usual. Ace car breakers 🔜🔛🔝💯

Be interested too find out more about the exporting .the future once they been exported
Great video bud
Glad you enjoyed
GREAT video! What's the most expensive car or machinery you've scrapped and also exported?
I live behind a scrap yard, its interesting to see how one works/etc
just wondering how the airbags are detonated and what happens with the shocks? also where does all the scrap go once it leaves your yard? sorry for all the questions!
legendary grabber skills
Good vlog mate, just a heads up, dont jump off wagons! i know i used to do it and now got fubared knees lol.
That guy got the engine out quickly
Surprised you guys don't do something with the windscreen and window glass!
great video though
Hahaha We would drive that car in Serbia like it's new ! We are scrapping cars after 40 years🤣🤣
cool vid bud, how do you decide if a car is suitable for export?
that claw guy was awesome ...
Never. Seen an engine come out that quick
Iv seen the ones that hold the sides of the car
We used to burn the out years ago
2:02 Amasing Money WIN💎 ua-cam.com/video/ZUWqeVjPwAM/v-deo.html
Cutting the engine mounts with a torch? Always seemed a more effective and cleaner way but needs more man power.
Do you guys have any Ali transit tipper beds
verry good
Hiya Henry very interested in what you do on channel saw you on Asheville 1st. When you drain fuel from cars can it be reused around your yard or sold for recycling???
What do u do with the brake fluid and coolant ??
Hey mate What happens to the fuel when a car is depolluted ? Do you separate petrol and diesel and re sell the fuel
Hi could you do a video on how you detonate the airbags honest scrapped vehicle
nice video mate x we just done a video saving one from the crusher
The guy that controls the grab has got some serious tekkers 👏
Good vidoe
*video
Nice video
Good content pal, I own Baxenden Car Breakers LTD up north in Hyndburn we are more of car breakers than a scrapyard but still have the scrap handler and scrap our own vehicles only, we have always thought of getting into the scrap side more, but it's the money for the machines, but we are growing fast, just bought 4 new autopstenhoj ramps for the stripping side and looking at stripping down 4 cars a day for parts, currently have 31k items on eBay, but the videos is a great idea for publicity! Would love to get some ideas from yourselves how to move forward.
Great video, I suppose salvaging parts and storing for resale would cost more in long run? Scrap it and on to the next one.
There is STILL to much wastage Why are light fittings not being removed? This should be a legal requirement Why are engines not being removed non destructively so they can be salvaged? The way it should be done is that it must be made a legal requirement for ALL cars to be stripped out completely & all parts removed INTACT & UNDAMAGED so they can be reused.ALL SEATING MUST BE REMOVED so it can be reused or if not put into a skip so it can be disposed of appropiately. ALL RADIOS ETC must be removed so they can be either reused or sent for electrical waste processing as the law requires. The only thing that should go to the crusher is the empty body which has been stripped of everything non metal so absolutely NOTHING is wasted. Why is this not happening?
@@ANDREWLEONARDSMITH Me being from latin america also see this as a lot of waste, but what are you describing is too expensive, in your country the salaries are too high for doing that. And if they no try to salvage more thing is maybe there is no market for it, to much trouble and few people looking for used part. Also your safety and environmental regulations limit the options. The world is a crazy place, a lot of thing dont make sense. But your right, we have to try to make thing in a better way.
Nice, what do you guys do with the car cubes?
Great vid! What happens to the engine?
Good video mate I’m from Manchester I worked at ij Kayes scrap metal we drain the fuel well different we just had a 25 litre drum just pop the tanks with a pick axe rip the engines straight out with a fuches grab😂
Enciroment agency would finish us if we did that 😂
Gaffa probably crushed bodies in boots for extra cash too😆
@@HenryArnold8 money makes the world go round trust me especially scrap money😉😂
Run a yard in northeast Nebraska. We also buy from copart. Love the channel, keep them coming
Thanks buddy, glad you're enjoying it!
Do you have a Facebook page?
What makes a car good for export?
You could salvage the parts make more money that hold still in good condition such a waste to crush it
Too time consuming
no, because you would run out of storage space very quickly, staff would have to spend a load of time to remove parts without breaking them and these parts don't sell quick either nor are they worth much
They used to be a car breakers until they changed to scrapyard, clearly was no money in it compared to scrap
Is there any times you may save one? 😢 I just keep hoping mine was saved…some how
Wish the scrap price was the same down here in the midlands lol interesting video tho
Im lookin for a mark 4 golf prefer diesel but not essential do u get many in . Cheers for any help u can give me ...
We do get a few in drop me a DM on Instagram 👍🏼
My view is this that Golf next year would of come under classic insurance
Amazing. Only thing is I see in Japan EVERY small screw and piece has to be recycled. Here I see it’s just ripped out and dumped on piles. Must be tons of copper u can salvage
what happens to the air con refrigerant
Man I live just down the road :( U guys gave like £100 better quote than anywhere els! I was looking to scrap my car now I saw this it make me so sad knowing this will be its fate soon :(
How much the cats converts scrap?
