This week, I decided to give Gunpla a try. I've been asked many times to use Gundam or Zaku in a diorama, but never have until now. I'm super happy with how this one turned out and I am excited do more. The articulation of the kits lends itself to some dynamic and exciting composition possibilities!

I just love how vibrant and neon it looks, truly an epic battle
Very Gundam Thunderbolt
Sieg neon!
@@AnvilAlex lol
So freakin sick, shame the Zaku doesn't have a littleight for its eye though
I'm always amazed how well the final product comes out. The lights and smoke trails look so realistic, in such an unrealistic scene
Indeedy, his lighting work covers all the other stuff
I really love the way you use the filaments and airbrushed cotton to capture such amazing dynamic moments in a static scene. I'd love to see a diorama going over the top with this effect.
I think using it sparsely to give an accent to this piece is what makes the effect 🤔
This build just confirms that anything you decide to do is exceptionally done! Love the lights and smoke, and would love to see more Gunpla dioramas!
This is honestly the coolest Gundam diorama I’ve ever seen.
Go look for ray studio or studio g or sdark, They build the coolest Gunpla and Gundam diorama... This person here not even close..
You must be new here.
Personally disagree. Those poses just look offputting at best
I look forward to these dioramas every week. You never disappoint, they just keep getting cooler.
I remember getting a gundam for Christmas when I was around 7 or 8 and it was one of my favorite toys. This diorama kicks ass!
Gunpla kits are rad as hell. Some truly wild engineering and great sources for kitbashing. Awesome to see your take on it.
Dude, this video finally pushed me over the edge to get into gundam and I just bought my fist kit
Your videos never disappoint, it doesn't matter the subject of the diorama, if it's Star Wars, Wild Imaginary West or random battles... What a beauty of a diorama!
I have a huge soft spot for Gundam- I'm so glad you made something from that genre! It looks terrific, as always!
The lights look sooo good. I love what you did with these models
Those 2 were rivals in the show and are the most popular characters. They are the most available kits, so originality when picking up gunpla retail is difficult. Your take on the fight was really cool.
Adding that projectile was a god-tier move! LOVE IT ALL
the smoke adds so much here
Been building gunpla for 5 years now and this is an amazing diorama you created. Great work!
Ive been watching your channel for a few months now, def enjoying your building techniques which I can only describe as "attainable DIY but also very skilled and professional." I am re-arranging my Nerd Room at the moment and have several SW and other model kits I plan on doing some mini shelf dioramas with. Thanks for showing us your creativity!
It’s so beautiful it’s bringing tears to my eyes.
Excellent work; especially the way you finished the models without painting any major parts!
Those Bandai Gundam and Star Wars kits are marvels of engineering. It's remarkable how they're able to produce parts of different colors on a single parts tree. (I'm still amazed at the Darth Vader TIE Fighter with the solar panels being a single piece molded in TWO colors.)
As a sidebar, when I was in Junior High School in the early 1970's, Bandai was famous for their detailed 1/48 scale World War 2 tank kits, complete with engines and interiors. I wish they'd bring some of those back . . . .
Ive toyed around with the idea of building dioramas myself for a while, but never did anything. In the recent videos by you i finally gave myself a little push and bought the stuff and just built. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. Anyway, thank you for the great content!
The final product always blows my mind. The light, the smoke is perfectly together. All of them create an awesome scene!
Was drawn to how you said you're not a big proponent of following instructions, but because you wanted to stay accurate to the material, you decided to follow the instructions for this project. I'd love to see what you can make using a Gunpla kit but going wild with your own imagination instead of relying on how it's supposed to be built!
It's really impressive to see a final product this good looking with such a low asking price on time committment and required knowledge. We need more stuff like this that lowers the percieved barrier of entry to dioramawork
As one who’s been building Gunplas for years, and started to do Dioramas with them just last year, WELCOME TO THE HOBBY.
You made a exceptional work!
This looks just like a scene from any Gundam series or side story! Amazing result!!
I'm not even into Star Wars or Gundam and I eagerly devour these videos every week. Your artistic skill *makes* me care about franchises I would otherwise have no interest in.
Nice looking diorama-what an epic battle that would actually be in a movie or show!
Great battle
It is always great seeing a nonspecific artist nailing the look of feel of something better then the hardcore ones.
More of this please! I really admire all your work for WIW. i watch your videos everyday at office with a full intention of making my own.
This is the first diorama of gundam that i saw with this details and no over killing the kits with paint. this diorama kit. makes me want to build one ! IT LOOKS SUPPER AMAZING!
Beautiful scene, the resin on the base of the saber was perfect. The diorama Boylei found on Pinterest was very well-executed, but his own 'rendition' is stunning.
The nerd in me noted of the finished work: Ray-san must be very confident on this day, for he has positioned his shield to absorb the incoming explosive projectile, rather than using a shallow angle to deflect the round.
I wonder how amazing and creative people could be with these skills and Master grade kits with them being bigger and more comfortable to add and hide wires.
I think painting the stands black 3.0 too would have been the cherry on top
Awesome Gundam diorama sir!! I love the LEDs and smoke trails, they really help to sell the action going on.
I was kind of surprised when you choose not to paint the figures, but decided to just detail them instead. The end result was very impressive and I was amazed at how much believability you achieved with just a wash and some light weathering. Simply masterful job!
I love how epic this fight looks. Loved watching the Gundam animes and playing some of the games but seeing this is so much better
Perfect timing I have a buddy that hit me up yesterday thinking about getting into gunpla. So Im sharing your video with him to give him some inspiration.
Very nice technique being demonstrated in the thumbnail of how to paint in LED brightness.
This is so freaking awesome! great job man, I've been building gunpla for 10+ years and this is just too cool
Well that blows most people's first Gundam kits out of the water. Nice work!
The muzzle flash and projectile is the best part!
You do such a great job of selling the scene in all your dioramas! The smoke trails are a really great effect!
Looks absolutely epic, awesome work Hobby Time
yo man this MASTER piece is the best gundam fighting scene i ever saw on the internet keep up the good work!
As a massive gunpla fan, this is incredible!!! I love it so much. Well done sir, you inspire me to want to be better lol.
Wow. I have NEVER seen anything like this in my life! Amazing!. Just amazing.
I've been building Gunpla for years. I love what you did with Char's Bazooka. Ever since I saw the strobe LED's you have on the Star Wars videos I have wanted to do one melting through a mobile suit.
Holy shit that's amazing
I just built my first gunpla in 22 years, the HG 1/144 Turn A. It was exciting!
The neon filaments really take the project to the next level. Even small additions of weathering to the Gundam improve the presentation so much. And now that you've started tapping into the Gundam model-building, I hope to see you possibly look at Transformers figures as well and see how creative you can get with that. With Transformers, there's so many different versions of every character (G1, Cybertron, Animated, etc) that the possibilities are endless. Like different versions of Optimus Prime fighting different versions of Megatron in a massive battle or something.
Bad ass man. Just found the world of Gunpla. It’s cool to see the things ppl do with them.
This is incredible, as a huge fan of gundam you've absolutely nailed it! Can't wait to see what you create next!
This is a dream come true! 😱 Would love to see you do more!!
The color variety is stunning!
Holy ... started building Gundam a few months back, clicked like before even watching the vid
First time I've seen someone use acrylic washes and alcohol in a reductive method like enamel/oil washes and mineral spirits on UA-cam. Great work man!!
Char vs Amuro done right! I love this!
When I got my first HG Gunpla and built it, I felt like something was missing; I thought I need a "better" detailed gunpla like RG or something to make it looks cool, but watching this video made me realizes that it's not what kind of grade my gunpla is, but turns out it's how creative I could be to make the product looks cool. This is amazing. I should finish my other HG gunpla and probably buy some led filaments and some paint. Thank you for this, you're awesome. subbed.
FINALLY! been wanting to see a Gundam Diorama from you for a long while!!
Such an amazing way to elevate these kits! Great job
I know it's been done before, but I'd love to see a Gundam Final Shot diorama from you.
Mannn I love these scene where zaku and gundam clashes, you had me there. This is cool man🥰
I love it. The only criticism I have is that I wish you'd lit up the monoeye on the MS-06S and the eyes on the RX-78-2; I think it would've been a great extra detail that would've drawn the eye to three separate points, between the weapons, thrusters, and eyes, and lit up the fronts of the suits a bit better so they weren't silhouetted quite as much. But all that said, amazing work!
Every time you make something with those lights, it's amazing.
Youngsters would say it's *lit*
I have built a few Gundam figures in the past, but man what you do with them is Amazing. You always make everything look so realistic. I just love to watch you work, I look forward to it every week.
Spectacular work. Hope to see more Gundam/Gunpla dioramas soon...
Super cool! Really glad you finally knocked a few gunpla out
Words can’t explain how much and how long I’ve been waiting/wanting for you to gundam! I’ve been happy after this appearing in my notifications
Bandai Boylei? Yes!
the lighting SLAPS!
Welcome to your new backlog collecting hobby.
Absolutely love it ! Please make more Gundams/mobile suits.
This is an amazing diorama and it goes to show you that you really don't need to break the bank to have an amazing piece like that in your collection thank you I'm inspired to see what I can do with stuff I have lying around the property now
2:10 I KNEW THE POSE LOOKED FAMILIAR. You absolutely nailed the master chief shooting a rocket launcher pose
I've been watching your diorama builds for a short time now and the time and effort you put forth is astonishing. They look amazing. I originally looked for ideas on materials to use on my gunpla dioramas. This was a gorgeous tribute to a Gundam classic. Thanks so much for being awesome.
You are one of us now! I see here Char hasn't pushed his engines all the way yet. If so they would be red. Great build more gunpla.
Man, that beam saber looks *chef's kiss*
Awesome! Looks spectacular! The tip of isopropyl alcohol to help spreading diluted pva glue is very useful.
This is amazing. Been seeing it around the web in all the Gunpla groups. Contest winner for sure
every time I think he is done he adds one more thing that makes it look even better.
This has to be one of the sickest dioramas I've seen in a while...your videos are always great
Envious of your creativity here. I want to learn to do all this. I paint and assemble models but its putting it all together in a diorama that's missing. Well done
This is Amazing! Great work!
This might just be your best work involving LEDs, absolutely fantastic!
FINALLY GUNDAM AGAIN
i really wanna see it more often
Love your vids. Great projects & love the commentry too. 10/10.
The lighting is so amazing like a clip from an Anime movie.
I started collecting Gundam this last year, I'd love to see more gunpla related content!
woooooooooo! that's what we're waiting for! i love your work!
we need more of this like with them fighting in water with a zaku with an arm missing and battered and withered
Now this is what I'm talking about, a man after my own heart. Keep up the great work
That is AWESOME! I never could’ve imagined it would turn out like that! Great imagination! And creativeness!!!!
Im a huge Gundam fan, and your videos are what got me into modeling! I've been wanting this for so long, an amazing build!
Go Bandai Gundam! great to see a different genre. thanks.
This is now my favorite UA-cam channel!
The lighting just takes them up to a whole other level!
YES! MY MONDAY MORNING HAS PURPOSE!
your builds are always so straightforward, yet amazing. I love them.
Hope this isn't the last time we see some Gunpla! Looks fantastic!!!
Can we just appreciate how neatly he places the switches
The dynamic angle of this one is amazing!! Great work
Oh wow, this looks so great! The very defined colors of the suits combined with the bright colors of the light effects are stunning!
I especially like how the bazooka shot's rendered
