Been an Ellegarden fan for over 10 years now. Went into a guitar store recently in London and had a freakout when I saw this guitar, and the owner and staff were like "wait...you know who this guy is?"
The Varitone itself does not require a unique cable. Generally, most of these 345/355 guitars have a stereo output jack, with a split cable to go to two different channels, inputs on the same channel, or two different amps altogether. Unfortunately, those cables are hard as diamond to find ...
Too bad Takeshi didn't get a signature les paul or I would definitely be foaming at the mouth for that. I'm a huge Ellegarden fan but not that much into Nothings Carved In Stone.
I have 0 interest in Shinichi Ubukata, however I want this guitar. I want a Black 355, with the Varitone switch, and a bigsby, and you can't get one that way. I can get black, but with no switch, gleaming gold hardware, which I don't care for. The Trini Lopez style F holes are a nice touch.

Lovely playing and guitar.

I’m missing the Firebird headstock though. It is better for tuning stability over the regular Gibson headstock
@@Yannplaysguitar something about that split diamond inlay looks beautiful. Always had a soft spot for customs and 355's because of it.
