I think you will like Part Two as we are going to learn about making rock molds and lining the interior of the tunnel with them. There are cheaper ways to make a tunnel, but since I am making only two small tunnels it is not so bad and I think the end result will be pretty cool. Painted the tunnel portals today. Also working on another short unboxing that I will put out even sooner. Thanks T4. I will say that I am learning that it is a little harder to do things in front of the camera. I have had some funny bloopers and have even thought that I should start keeping them. Thats an interesting way of creating a tunnel, you want that extra detail which is nice. I also can’t wait to see it done. Are you planning on adding lighting inside the tunnel? Great video Bill 👍
Thanks Jorge. I never thought about lighting the tunnel, but I am not really inclined to do that. Both tunnels I am making are pretty short so seeing inside should not be to big of a problem. We’ll see. Thanks again. Bill B.

Hi and good morning. Honestly, I have never thought about using a flexible drainpipe for my tunnels. It is an idea that you could explore, but off the cuff, I think there are easier ways to create a tunnel. On the OM&S the tunnels are very short. For longer tunnels I typically model only the length that I believe one can see in before everything goes black. Usually somewhere between 16 to 18 inches. Once the tunnel is built, I then build the mountain over the tunnel section and paint the interior of my mountain black, so no light is visible, and the tunnel effect is maintained. As you are building your tunnel watch that you have adequate clearances, and I would also recommend making sure that you always have access to the track so that it can be cleaned, and cars and locomotives can be reach in the event there is a problem. Wish I could answer your question more definitively, but like I mentioned I have never tried using flexible drainpipe. Thank you for watching my video. Bill B.
