These are so pretty … I’m so glad that you mentioned how you sewed right through the fabric when attaching things like the pockets, etc….. I was wondering about this …. I’m going to make one or two of these !!!! Thank you

I really enjoyed making them and I thought by making 2, it would be too much.. but in reality I actually use both of them…. I’m happy you enjoyed the video… I’d love to see yours when it’s finished… thank you for tuning in… 👍🌺💐

I have my father in law's "housewife" that he was issued by the army we he was drafted in 1941. There is a variety of buttons and thread in colors of uniforms at the time. There are a few safety pins and a couple of needles. Opened it measured about 8 1/2 by 4 1/2 inches.

Ive made something similar for portable sewing. They are geared for embroidery so i put scrap batting on a section for catching threads. They are fun to make! I made the closure with a button and elastic.

I notice that these things are usually arranged so that the sharpest items like pins are in the deepest most fold. Would you say that's a good design fall back to reference?

That’s a great observation I didn’t notice that…. But now that you have mentioned it… I would say that it appears to make sense.. after all in anything that has a practical use… form follows function… so yes I do believe that must have been intentional in the design… thank you for sharing your thoughts with me… I’m thinking about doing a video where I share viewers comments.. may I use this.. of course I wouldn’t mention any names… 👍☺️🌺💐🌸
