    Thinks: I'll listen to this for a few minutes, and see if I like it.
    After thirty minutes: Well, that was unutterably beautiful.

    Nice recording, great background without that repetition others do which actually bothers me. Really great job.

    ...YEPPP!!!
    ...I've got myself one of these sound studio threes, ...and, I haven't yet got myself in the correct "mood", ...to start to learn how to use any of these things yet, at all, ...I just haven't done anything with them yet, ...but, with glorious videos like this one out there, ...it definitely helps, ...as they are just trully inspirational!!!
    ...ohhh, maannn, ...I really got to buckle down, ...and learn how to use all of these suckers sometime really soon!!!
    ...so, ...thank you for this inspiration, that you have shared with us!!!

      Mine arrived mid November. First synthlife purchase. Life changer. I am learning most generative tips from this channel fyi.
      I truly love this art.

      @@78thandSynth ...that was my plan, ...at least to do some self generating stuff, ...and have it going in the background, ...and then, ...I'll get my guitar, ...and try to improvise, ...and play along with it, ...and see what happens, ...well, ...that's my plan anyway, ...when I finally get off my ass...

    I am sure it's worth buying one, but most demos just did not convince me it would be worth adding it to 'rabbit hole' collection. This video convinced me :). The good thing about patience is that it's now a lot cheaper.

    Very cool! Fantastic piece here.
    Generative stuff is always so fascinating to me, and I'd love to dive in one day. I can halfway do it with my Digitone and probability triggers, but it's crazy how cool generative Modular is. I didn't realize, however, that the Subharmonicon and Mother-32 can do this level of generative music without other modules. Neat!

    Drones from Subh through reverb are awesome! I like to add some distortion before reverb, sounds amazing.

    I love the sound you've created. Will the Subharmonicon be enough for a while or do you suggest the Mother32 and Dfam to pair up as well? Thanks in advance and keep up the great work!

    • @ClausGahrn
      @ClausGahrn  Рік тому +1

      Thanks! It depends on the genre of music that you want to do of course, but I think you can do a lot of interesting things with just the Subharmonicon. I like to explore just one synth at a time, and then later combine it with other hardware or software instruments. It’s a great way to really get to know the synth. I had the Mother-32 for almost a year before I bought the Subharmonicon. Currently I’m making some tracks with the Mother-32 and Subharmonicon and I find that combination very exciting.

      @@ClausGahrn Thank you for the detailed and inspiring answer. The type of music in this case will be long, soft, relaxing ambient scapes. Great tip from you to first deeply explore one synth before extending the range. I think the Subhamonicon will fit well within this spectrum, can't wait to get my hands on it. I probably have one within a few weeks. Thank you!

    Wanted to figure it out but have to ask. What is supermassive setting?
    I don’t always get your exact sounds - but your patches lead to days of exploration. As soon as I get my A/V posting skills together I will always credit you. Thank you

    • @ClausGahrn
      @ClausGahrn  2 роки тому +1

      I use different custom Supermassive settings for all of my patches. A good starting point could be the Planetarium preset from the SFX category. Glad to see you have started sharing your music here on UA-cam btw. :)

    Claus, I'm trying to reproduce the patch: do you by any chance remember the Supermassive preset/configuration?

    • @ClausGahrn
      @ClausGahrn  Рік тому

      I always tweak presets quite a lot, but I think with this one I started off in the SFX category.

    Question for you, if you don't mind. I am new to modular synths and find generative stuff absolutely fascinating. With the patch being this simple, what is the main source of the "generative" aspect of this patch? Is it the two difference sequencers working in an unpredictable polyrhythmic way? Thank you! The soundscape you have created here with such a simple patch is fascinating.

    • @ClausGahrn
      @ClausGahrn  Рік тому

      Thank you very much. Yes, the main generative technique in this patch is the polyrhythms. I have made a few videos where I combine the Mother-32 and the Subharmonicon, and that gives you quite a lot more options in terms of exploring generative techniques.
