Neural networks work with some prediction, so in some versions of this phrase it translates pretty correctly, but the thing is that russian "плыс" can be understood as "плешь" (bald). Given that Google Translate is notorious for making inaccurate predictions/translations, it's not unreasonable to assume that the neural network thought it was an offensive expression and translated it loosely. Google could just as easily translate this as “well, you’re bald”

Given that Google Translate is notorious for making inaccurate predictions/translations, it's not unreasonable to assume that the neural network thought it was an offensive expression and translated it loosely. Google could just as easily translate this as “well, you’re bald”

@@MrTomyCJ it's either predictions or transliteration of unknown words because either way it is very hard to translate this without knowing the context. Tbh I like the latter more, because if you throw out one more letter from this phrase:
"ну разань плыс"
It will translate to:
"well, thank you"

DEEPL translates almost with the same method, so it's "Come on, man." now.
Promt uses mixed method, yet notorious for this in a bad way, so it will translate it as "well rag plys".
Yandex tried to autocorrect the part of this phrase... only the "unban" and in the wrong way, though, but it is still using the predictions: "Well, let's swim"
Bing translator is more oldschool with transliterations: "Well Razan Plys" (the most correct one, btw! Even with the original phrase - "Well unban the plys")
Literally every machine translator didn't handle the translation in the correct way. DeepL handled the original translation in a pretty correct way, but only by luck, the second error made it completely incorrect. Bing managed to translate pretty correct too... in a way that you *100% KNOW* that something was mistranslated unlike with any other translator.

I would try to understand if they legit tried to explain it, but any of the clear f ups were all just swept under the rug and ignored. Must feel pretty shitty to be banned out of a community you're invested in for no reason an then have the streamer use ur ban for content.
Always hated these ban appeal content anyway, ive been triggered into not watching streamers more than once by them...
Its one of those things for me, either I gain respect for the streamer based on who they do/dont ban or I lose it.. Very little middle-ground for me. Vedal defo pushing it but that mod was way over the line lol.

As for me, this is not normal and they, as moderators of very popular ai-tech streamer with ten thousand viewers online, need to be more adequate and responsible, however, this is not a job and they are not paid for it, but this in any case does not justify their irresponsibility.
