I'm not saying this is definitely what happend, but after hearing the song i wouldn't be surprised if they were accused of being a knock off AC/DC (especially if AC/DC came first).
Damn I love this song! And I agree with Henry Covert, this should be our new anthem, or at least the lower to middle class Americans or the working class Americans Anthem. Krokus is pure gold!
I taped this off of one of those midnight video shows with my tape recorder in ‘83 (9yo). My dad heard it, took my player and hit play/record to erase every time they said bitch.
I've been down, I've been beat I've been tossed into the street Beggin' nickels, beggin' dimes Just to get my bottle of wine Some say life she's a lady Kinda soft, kinda shady I can tell you life is rich She's no lady, she's a bitch 1.They suck my body out But friend there is no doubt I'm gonna pay the devil his dues Cause I'm sick of being abused Eat the rich, eat the rich Don't you know life is a bitch Eat the rich, eat the rich Out of the palace and into the ditch Steal my money, steal my car Took my woman and my old guitar Runnin' crazy, runnin' wild Blind alley in my mind Just can't fight the temptation It's become my inspiration Gonna get myself an axe Break some heads, break some backs Don't stop me Don't stop me Don't stop me Out of the palace and into the ditch They suck my body out
With my girl it's "Damn, what is that garbage you're listening to!?" (5 minutes later surreptitiously searching for song .. Dammit, what was he listening too?) .
this was shot at baker beach in san francisco when i was a jr in high school we did this video & screaming in the night over 2 days they fed us and we got 2 hangout with the band good times
I was also an extra in these videos. I was in 7th or 8th grade. They had an “all call” on KQAK, iirc. (It was literally 40 years ago) I skipped school and went. The production crew told me they didn’t need me, but I wasn’t going back to school. So I stuck around and got a “Stormtrooper” costume. I’m standing at the top of the “stage” here. 😊
@dannyjordan7530 I was there as well, it was Def Leppard first headline show, they had just finished opening for some band in Lubbock and came to Odessa as a headliner!! Great concert, KROKUS, QUEENSYRCHE, JON BUTCHER AXIS those 3 use to be openers for bands all around!! Saw all 3 multiple times at Ector County Coliseum!!!
This could totally fit into a Mad Max movie... I remember when this was new. Mad Max took place in 2021, time to get your Krokus - Eat The Rich gear on.
Big sound. I love it . Doesn't sound like it was recorded in a closet. I've always loved Big sound like this, Judas Preist Screaming for Vengeance, Saxon. Even Balance by Van Halen had huge sound.
The Greaseman played this all the time during his show when he was in DC. The intro is one of those that makes you want to drive fast and run virginia drivers off of the road...
Rick Fast loves Krokus and being Rich through his own blood, sweat and tears .Rick has paid his dues .Rock the world make your own money and eat grits . My old Army buddy .
5 millennials disliked this cuz, there was nothing auto tuned. Ya, believe it or not many of the great bands from back in the day could play their instruments & actually sing. Definition........ talent. With today’s garbage, very hard to find.
Absolutely. Check out Havok, they're the best modern thrash metal band out there. They're even better than most classic thrash bands, so our culture isn't dead yet. Keep fightin
What brought me back to this great oldie is a conversation about wether the spike protein can be cooked out of people meat......I guess when we get that hungry the answer won't matter, eh???!?! Hahahahahaha GenX has a song for every sitch❤️💪🤷
Who else misses this era of METAL? 🤟
Evil is evil whether it's at the top or from the ditch up don't be a fool
I do. 🤘🏻
The metal . . . the horror movies . . . fuck yeah!

That actually sounds terrible.
Krokus is one of the most underrated bands ever. I first saw this video in 1983. I was 13. It still Kicks Ass & Rips Shit!
Truth. Headhunter was a great album all around.
Me to
I'm the same age. I remember thinking in the midst of all the other metal bands of the early 80s Krokus stood out as one of the more interesting.
I was 16 years old in 83. Headhunter stayed in my cassette player on most days! Saw them live in El Paso Texas back then. great show!
I was 17,,one of the best. Need it today.
I was always shocked that this great band wasn't more successful. They were far better than most of their contemporaries...
And they are still better and in their 70 they do awesome live concerts!!!
Them and Cinderella. Way underrated 💯
Beefs with other bands- like Twisted Sister was part of KRAKUS (not Krokus - KRAKUS)issues.
I'm not saying this is definitely what happend, but after hearing the song i wouldn't be surprised if they were accused of being a knock off AC/DC (especially if AC/DC came first).
took the wrong direction away from classic hard 80's metal
Still listening in 2024 at 61 years old 😂
56 here...love me some Krokus 🤘😎
And the Bidens are FINALLY GONE!!🤘
Grow up. 🤣
@@captainwhackencracker4589 sound like my ex wife 🤘

early 80's...40 YEARS AND STILL HARD!!!
Moving like Brian Johnson, singing like Bon Scott, into a toilet brush !! Rock’n’Roll Lads 🔥😉⚡️
Headhunter = Flawless Masterpiece!!
This should be America's new national anthem.
Put em through a woodchipper first so the ditches don't get clogged!
@randall scott burress who's there?
Your wish has come true
5/30/2020
Agreed. They sick my body ouuuuut!
You have my vote, how do we get this in motion
that low thunderous muffled legato sounding monster riff 2:47 during the crushing solo is the bomb , Krokus is beyond underrated!!! Classic alright.
I know this is a recording studio comment still I will leave you alone
Dude I love the high climax part of the solo too, that really grabbed my attention when I first saw this video back in the day.
Still listening in 2024💯💯💪💪💪💯💯
Damn I love this song! And I agree with Henry Covert, this should be our new anthem, or at least the lower to middle class Americans or the working class Americans Anthem. Krokus is pure gold!
Sorry...this "anthem" belongs to the homeless...the first verse verifies that...😁
The Whip-cracking sound in the chorus is the most kick ass thing ever
I taped this off of one of those midnight video shows with my tape recorder in ‘83 (9yo). My dad heard it, took my player and hit play/record to erase every time they said bitch.
This should go viral as a Global Anthem for the 2020s
In 2020 is Idiot still a word
Fuck yeah, both for Elon and the NIMBY rich liberals

I've been tossed into the street
Beggin' nickels, beggin' dimes

Some say life she's a lady
Kinda soft, kinda shady
I can tell you life is rich
She's no lady, she's a bitch
1.They suck my body out
But friend there is no doubt
I'm gonna pay the devil his dues
Cause I'm sick of being abused
Eat the rich, eat the rich
Don't you know life is a bitch
Eat the rich, eat the rich
Out of the palace and into the ditch
Steal my money, steal my car
Took my woman and my old guitar
Runnin' crazy, runnin' wild
Blind alley in my mind
Just can't fight the temptation
It's become my inspiration
Gonna get myself an axe
Break some heads, break some backs
Don't stop me
Don't stop me
Don't stop me
Out of the palace and into the ditch
They suck my body out
I saw Krokus, Rainbow and Pat Travers...........killer show
I still have the Head Hunters album on cassette 😃😉✊
What a great voice!
Marc Storace has a great voice.. kind of reminds me of Bon Scott
STILL sounds FANTASTIC in 24!!🤘
Thank god my son takes after me in music dept. He loves everything I introduce to him

ss6969 I just watched those videos back to back and thought they must have been shot the same day!! Cool story.
They’re an awesome bunch of guys! Make ya feel like you have always known them. Good People!!
I saw Jon Butcher Axis, Krokus, and Def Leppard in the spring of 1983
Ohh SHIT SO DID I, IN BATON ROUGE La, Def Lep was WAAY to loud and Distorted, but it still was a HELLUVA GREAT TIME!!!

Great Tune Thanks! I would love to see Krokus and Jackyl together. Eat the Rich, and The Lumberjack ...
I was there In 1983 Knoxville Tennessee USA. I still have the T shirt.
I'm still in the 80s!
Bring me back I hate 2019 the 80s were the best
Wish I could go back, My favourite year was 1983 when I got my drivers licence aged 18.

The 80s were the best.Weren't you there?
the drugs didn't kill ya back then!
A great rock 'n' roll band - top song off a killer album 'Headhunter'! \m/
This could totally fit into a Mad Max movie... I remember when this was new. Mad Max took place in 2021, time to get your Krokus - Eat The Rich gear on.
Epic when I bought headhunter in early 80s and still epic
Fernando Von Arb es un maestro de la guitarra!!!
Marc storace is the only singer i'd listen to sing a Bon scott song because he'd actually do it justice.
Similar voice mate 100% agree
He sounds just like Bon. Great frontman as well.
Love this song....
Laredo Texas 1983 what a show
The anthem of my youth!
I wish there was something in the production, costumes, or even the music that told us what decade this hailed from...=D
When the whole party multiclasses Bard.
When detect evil lights up the uber rich and the rpg is too real.
Ooooooh Yesssss! Comment was soo good.
Wait though, I ponder... If they multiclassed, what were the other classes?
You know, spec'd right, a party of Bards would be damn near unstoppable.👍

My philosophy with Krokus is: You either like them, or you don't know them well enough.
they can have this new shit i'll go back to when we had badass music and RANDY RHOADS!
Love this Song!! A Great Classic!from my He'll rasing Years.
Great song..and alot better video quality than the other one I just watched!! Thx uploader!
Great AC/DC song. Bon Scott's voice and lyrics are classic here. Wait a minute...
AC/DC wishes they could have sounded this good.

Saw them open for Sammy Hagar in the 80s
Robert Kramer yep! KCMO/ 🤟
First concert Sammy, Krokus, Saxon...$15 Floor seats right in front of stage !!!!
I saw that show too! I think it was in Louisville, or Lexington. One of the most badass shows have ever seen!
Big sound. I love it . Doesn't sound like it was recorded in a closet. I've always loved Big sound like this, Judas Preist Screaming for Vengeance, Saxon. Even Balance by Van Halen had huge sound.
You said it, man. Actual sound production.
Well there is some words in this song that said it all and it's very true life's a bitch
Huh. I never knew they did a video for this. Very cool. *Headhunter* was easily their best album.
I saw a triple bill also, it was KROKUS, Rainbow and Pat Travers. Great show.
Best album and lineup with Steve Pace on drums, they were never the same after he left!
I still think they sound pretty damn good with their new guy. Wacken 21
Awesome choreography
How did one get a job as one of the background dancers for this one? Raw talent back there man!
lmfao
I bet it was fun to make this video.
I'm calling that move at 0:33 the Mad Max or Outlaw pirouette...
Their biggest mistake was not to tour Australia. Great band great vocals!😊
The Greaseman played this all the time during his show when he was in DC. The intro is one of those that makes you want to drive fast and run virginia drivers off of the road...
I loved it when it was the music that poured out the door you opened to "the bachelor party."
More like run the Maryland drivers off the road 😁
Easy man or the Toe Monster will get ya.
Love Grease!
Grabbed this tape cassette at the base PX at Battalion HQ at MCRD the day i graduated boot camp

Good Song.
Incredible band. Saw this tour they opened for Sammy Hagar
Feed the poor!
I wonder why AC/DC,never thought about hiring this dude .when Bon passed away.not that Brian isn't bad ass cuz he is .certainly.just a thought.
I always thought he sang like Bon
good point! He would have been great
Seen krokus opening up for rush exit stage left tour 1981. Both ripped lakeland civic center that evening.
