Yes, he was extremely nervous. Steve Binder related a little story about going into the dressing room where Elvis was & Elvis told Binder he didn't know any of the songs, he forgot all the words, & wasn't going out there, & Binder said i don't care if you walk out, just say hello & then walk off, but you ARE going out. And out he came. I've always used the expression "unleashed," particularly regarding '68, but for some other performances too. It is the quintessential expression for him.
His shaking hand represented to him what was on the line, the fans never left him, the critics well screw them. It was never in essence a comeback but more of a rediscovering of himself. To see that unfold was something quite magnificent and beautiful. You never throw these together, care craft and effort always on display. Another enjoyable episode TCB ⚡️

Scotty, great review. Is the sound quality of vinyl superior to that of the CDs in the ELVIS PRESLEY Complete '68 Comeback Special: 40th Ann. Edition box set?
There's shots from the TV special with Elvis wearing a blue shirt which I presume would be rehearsals but I'm not sure , As we've never seen the performance of this. No I don't mean the blue jeans outfit that we have seen.

Hi there Scotty . I was wondering where u got the audio background music u played in the background . Is that on the 68 album u just showed or somewhere else .
@@ScottysElvisPresleyMusicChanel ; what do u mean by that cause that doesn’t answer my question . I was referring if this was background music from a orchestra or instrumental band and wich ones and were available to purchase or is it someting u composed /made urself ? Thank you
Sorry if you feel I didn’t answer your question..like I said I’ve had it saved for a while but where it came from I cannot remember..I have so much stuff saved on files that I’ve literally collected over the years.
@@ScottysElvisPresleyMusicChanel Okay . because i really dig the backgroundmusic - i think u played the rocknrollmedley - is there a way to get that part from you ? If u need financial compensation thats np cause its for private use only .
How's the sound on the cd version compared to the vinyl. Would like to get both versions but play the cd while traveling. Thanks in advance, ALWAYS ELVIS !!!
Elvis was always great, but this was Elvis at his absolute peak! If only he would have stayed in touch with Binder and banished the Colonel, the next nine years and beyond would have been joyous for him, instead of the death sentence they turned out to be😢
They did a wonderful job with the packaging... the cover as whole is beautiful. WIth regard to the sound quality and the fake stereo effect... it doesn't work for me. The mono sound from the original Sony/BMG/RCA releases Like Tiger Man and Memories are still the best.
@@ScottysElvisPresleyMusicChanel Hi guys. I've listened to it through closed Headphones last night. And there's something that is just not right. It could be Compressed source files, heavy filtering or maybe even the fake stereo effect... it appears mostly between tracks when you hear the audience clapping and shouting. As well as in quieter parts of "Can't help falling in love" or listen to that trumpet(s) in "If I can dream". It's like those artifacts you have when compressing WAV-files to MP3 lower than 128Kbps ... Listen to Side 3, the beginning of "Can't help..." - when he sings "for I can't help..." for the first time, the filter can't deal with the clapping noises in the background. Sounds terrible. Maybe a little bit more original noise and less filtering would've been great ...

@@ScottysElvisPresleyMusicChanel I have the 50th comeback box set but I miss records so it would be a pleasure blowing the dust off the little player....
@markw8353 do it😉
Wow,this release looks beautiful, from the cover art to the vinyl,i have "the king in the ring, this looks better, thanks for showing this Scotty! Love you and your brother and what you do for our favorite artist!
it's the stuff from the sit down sessions and the stand up ones.
What is?
Higher record rotation speed = greater possible bandwidth. ie more data per second.
There you go I knew there would be someone who would understand it better than me..thankyou
@@ScottysElvisPresleyMusicChanel The same goes for tape. The faster the tape spinns the better sound can be. Slower speeds means less quality but more recording time.
I can't see my first comment anymore but I ordered a copy here in the Netherlands. Only mine is supposed to be yellow. I think that's a mistake. I expect it to be red when it arrives 😌
The yellow is a ltd edition..that’s the one I was after..nice one buddy
@@ScottysElvisPresleyMusicChanel I indeed found an image of a yellow version with the order. It claims that 250 yellow versions were made. I know when it arrives . Should be today.
It is indeed the yellow version 😎
Love the way this set looks. I’ve already ordered a copy, and it should be arriving in a couple of days.
Beautiful jacket of album.
Hi there Scotty . I was wondering where u got the audio background music u played in the background . Is that on the 68 album u just showed or somewhere else .
No it’s music I’ve had saved for a while..
Hey I don’t need financial compensation..I will see if I can find it for you
How's the sound on the cd version compared to the vinyl. Would like to get both versions but play the cd while traveling. Thanks in advance, ALWAYS ELVIS !!!
I don’t have the cd buddy to compare
@@ScottysElvisPresleyMusicChanel OK, thank you.
THANK YOU LOVE ANYTHING ELVIS ❤❤❤
Is this a new release? Am i missing something?
Yes
Elvis was always great, but this was Elvis at his absolute peak! If only he would have stayed in touch with Binder and banished the Colonel, the next nine years and beyond would have been joyous for him, instead of the death sentence they turned out to be😢
They did a wonderful job with the packaging... the cover as whole is beautiful. WIth regard to the sound quality and the fake stereo effect... it doesn't work for me. The mono sound from the original Sony/BMG/RCA releases Like Tiger Man and Memories are still the best.
Doesn’t sound fake at all..I say it’s pretty darn great in my opinion..do you have it?
Where can i buy this album now? Nothin to found.
Mike it says at the start of the video..The Elvis Shop Of London..still available on there buddy..www.theelvisshoplondon.com/
