yeah, my father will always ask us to put the plate on top of another plate to ease the waiters when they pick it up.
Ironically the servers behind the counter only masked their mouths and not their noses.

Last week while I was at KL, I saw ichang and jimmy walking around The Gardens Mall but was too shy to stop them and ask for a photo so I just wave at them and they wave back. It was the highlight of my day.

I am from Kedah, but last week I was in KL and been at Gardens Mall too. I was really hoping to catch a glimpse of Ichang & Jimmy. Oh...too bad, we must have missed then.
Not same experience. I bump into them at Kl .said hello, but ai chang didn't even acknowledge me or glance at me. But Jimmy is a wonderful person. similar to what you see on the internet.very friendly :)

I feel that Ichang+Jimmy being stuck in HK is like doing "apprenticeship" for 2 years learning the art of cooking Malaysian dishes/desserts and came back to Malaysia as Masters. I can safely say you guys can cook better than some of us here. I am pretty sure ichang+Jimmy enjoy the local cuisine even more with their in-depth knowledge and experience gained from cooking for the past 2 years. Really big respect and hats off to you guys for the passion and determination.

I remember watching your first visit to Mahbub years ago, and now you guys are back!!! I’m so happy and excited for you guys! Even the Mahbub staffs remember! Jimmy really ‘balas dendam’ from what he ordered. Ichang managed to finish the whole plate, impressive!
Steps:
1. Pilih nasi (nasi putih/beriyani)
2. Cakap kuah campur + banjir (minta kuah dulu sebelum pilih lauk, baru sedap kuah tu dicurah atas nasi secara rata)

Hi IChang and Jimmy, you guys should try the restaurant next to Mahbub. Bala's banana leaf, the banana leaf set is amazing with the unlimited supply of side dishes and if you order "ayam goreng" it is made to order so its so fresh, juicy and fried to perfection.

hello ichang + jimmy. welcome back to your 2nd home 😊 next time if you eat nasi kandar full plate, you can ask for extra pinggan so you can unload some of the lauk in the pinggan kosong. can see jimmy struggling a bit to dig the nasi + lauk and at the same time to make sure it wont spill out from the plate. anyway have fun both of you. hope i got a chance to bump into both of you in KL 😍
This time you guys should explore the rural part of Malaysia. Maybe the beaches, try the seafoods, staying in chalets, a lot of tourist sites you can go.
Agree but my opinion is when you go to the rural area, travel with the local people. You will have more exciting experiences and get to know the local hidden gems.

Usually there are three rice type selection. You can ask for nasi kandar rice, white rice or briyani rice. Some restaurant also have yellow rice. :)

I love Mahbub's daging hitam and my hubby loves the ayam bawang. alhamdulillah we are staying just around bangsar so we're not far from the food that we love.

Mahbub is famous for their Briyani Ayam Madu. It's my family's favourite... You guys should try it next time. Just order "Nasi Briyani Ayam Madu"... They will serve & bring the dish to the table.
