I miss chef iChang...!! Very refreshing video today since not traveling & eating at cafes, but teach us about cooking as well... I like these types of videos
❤❤❤
Agree! Love this video ‘format’ so much. They went jalan-jalan, found some local ingredient, came home and cooked something Japanese. A job well done Jimmy and Ichang!🎉🎉🎉
Yaya. Love iChang’s cooking videos❤
A little support for you to continue to take more videos in Malaysia. Gambateh💪🏻
Thank youuuuuu❤️🥳
IChang, i like your cooking. Please show us more japanese cooking using local ingredients. You the 👌 best.
I’m glad that you enjoyed the cooking video!!💪🍗
The next time you go back to Bentong, I highly recommend that you visit Kechara Forest Retreat. It is the largest and most beautiful Tibetan Buddhist temple in Malaysia at 33 acres. Lots of tress and flowers. There you will find a animal sanctuary and a beautiful vegetarian cafe. The top attraction in Bentong town.
I hear them talking cantonese in front of Jimmy, I'm very sure he understands it since he lived in HK. 😅
My understanding is that iChang is more proficient in Cantonese and Jimmy is more proficient in English➡ sothey complement each other. And with the rojak BM and Japanese politeness, them nodding to the lady explaining ginger level in BM had me 🤣.
Ngl with ichang cooking skills you guys can really open up a restaurant. That karage looks so sedap
ahhhh kedai uncle dah tukar sign board... ada lagi tak acik jual nasik lemak luar tu??? When I was study at Bentong I always went to this shop when outing.
Makes me hungry to watch Jimmy gobble up that pieces of fried chicken. Ic hang cooking is delicious. Tq
I hope you enjoyed the ASMR video…!😆😆😆
Remembering one of my friend that died recently! My last visit to Bentung town was 1994! That’s where he was married had a beautiful afternoon weeding dinner!
Best wishes to both of you, coffee on me again soonest!
Bentong is one of my favorite town to visit. The other is Taiping. Calm, laid back vibes and has old school charm

Bentong has a charming, humble and lovely atmosphere…We love Bentong!!❤️
I miss bentong so much...i lived there since 2001 till 2018...kowpo is one of the legendary ice cream shop there...and the taste never change...only the price increase...back then i think the price for abc is only rm4...and there is makcik sell nasi lemak outside the shop...and the nasi lemak taste so good 😊
waaa my favourite concept for a video. Using local Malaysian ingredients to cook Japanese food...i want to try also 👀
The food looks really good . Rice is something different and the fried chicken made me drool. Perhaps you should consider open a shop selling this 😊
Nice to try new food and new environment.
jimmy blended into msia culture talking about 'where u stay' over conversation with chicken rice lady, good job!
did you miss the museum nearby? It is a great place to know Bentong history and the fantastic stories of Chinese businessmen
Wow! That cooking of your look delicious 'Oishi' indeed...IChang 😋
You too..are already like malaysian poeple now ...be happy always
We also use Bentong brand soy sauce from Bentong for many years, more sweet than salty. My mother's choice, we always search for it at local region. She likes Bentong old ginger and beancurd ❤
I just love watching Jimmy's angry face enjoying his meal.
rindu nak tengok ichang masak2 dgn jimmy macam dulu di HK . finally ade jugak .. good job u guys 🎉👏
G'day from Australia 🦘 thank you for your wonderful videos. I ❤ watching them!
coming to watch 😊
Oh yummmmm this video is so good
Bertuah betul jimmy ichang stay malaysia .. dah la malaysia betul2 support japan .. thank you tun M for this connection
I like this format of your video - you travel, and then cook what looks so delicious, using local ingredients. Well done!
"Jimmy Choice, try to read my mind'
I saw an instant intense moment for jimmy 😂😂
But bro executed it perfectly.
Both of you should do more pork food.. there are so many pork lovers subscribed to you including me 😂
Good to see you using local ingredients to start cooking again.... cook more!!!
Appetising Japanese cuisine in d end..loads of anti oxidants, fiber & amino acids & friendly bacterias from the miso too😍👍
Gotta get me one of those giant cabbage peelers and eat more cruciferous veggies.
@@goodguyaus good for u..check out Ichang & Jimmy’s japanese dinner, only small bowls of rice & the rest had been more portion of protein & fiber ..no wonder they’re so fit wt good intestinal flora💪👍..
@iChang: I want to share with you some tips on removing the ginger skin. You don’t need to use knife to scrap off the ginger skin. You can use stainless steel teaspoon or any stainless steel spoon to scrap ginger skin off. It is safer and more effective. ❤
Beautiful ❤❤
Miss you guys cooking!
Please cook char kue tiaw! Combo with fried chiken or fried fish cake
Bentong is most famous for durian. I used to have a durian orchard there. Also, nice tau fu fa.
used to? why.. gomen amek balik ka? aiyaaa

Good content. Loved your home cooking, too.
Tq ichang for showing us how to make karaage..gonna try your recipe soon..it looks simple but so delicious ❤
Welcome to Bentong ❤
I always wondering what’s Japanese routine homecook food other than sushi, sashimi or ramen that they maintained healthy and prosperous life like Jimmy’s granma. I started to cook IChang’s salmon bento recipe and its very comfort and delicious ! And this time thanks IChang for sharing this recipe Bentong Ginger Japanese Karaage Teshoku. Gonna try tomorrow. Hope to see more Japanese cooking from IChang ❤
Thank you for your kind comment 🥰
I am very happy to hear that you cooked salmon bento!!!!!😍
@@ichangrm ❤️❤️
Thank you for the Japanese food recipe! I love trying this kind of easy everyday meal recipe. The ingredients is easy to find ❤
Nice
Yes, missed seeing you two cook and then enjoy the food 😊 this is a good format, sourcing local ingredients from the trip and then going back to make home cooking 😁 the title of this video should not even qbout the ice cream 😂 the star is Bentong ginger!
I suggest you both do some cooking similarly when you stay in Hong Kong. I am very sure lots of Malaysian was happy to see you cooked some popular Malaysian dishes and share to the community. Since you are here now for some time, food ingredients are readily available and more exposure to various type of foods, it is woeth considering to include those cooking videos. I, for sure likes to watch you both, as foreigners, cooking our Malaysian dishes
simple i see ichang new video i click and watch , liked the video guys lets keep supporting them
❤❤❤
8:51 🤗Food that you've never had BUT still feels nostalgic IS the best kind of food! Just like listening to City Pop (eg. Plastic Love, Stay With Me, Office Lady) and yearning for a 1980s Japan even though I've never been.
- it is so comforting to have you include some delicious home-cooked meals (I love the subtle ginger flavour in karaage 🤤)
Bentong & raub..The hometown of good musang king durian..I chang must visit again on end of June/early july 2024 durian season !!
Thank you 👍
Bentong ginger is extra spicy. Most people cannot take that spicy level. Have to use small amounts only.

Hi Ichang...I am Muzium Negara today and they are having a "NINGYO" exhibition...
Thank you so much to iChang & Jimmy also, for your videos, your travels and your cooking.
My 1st video that I watched, was when you landed at Changi Airport and cross over to JB. The one that you met the pilot, if I can remember correctly.
For as long as you keep doing YT, will keep supporting, even though I seldom comment here.
Arigato gozaimas.
Arigatoooooo🥳🥳🥳
You should really monetise your videos. I want you guys to grow since both of you deserve it. It won't ruin our experience at all, since I'm happy to contribute to my favourite creators.
Amazing best chicken karange in the world, I can even feel the taste watching the video listening to the crispy cracking sound. Well done Jimmy & Ichang❤
