The Maltese language is derived from the Tunisian dialect
@@njoumellil Arabic* not Tunisian
@@frisen077
I know it is Arabic, but its roots are derived from the Tunisian dialect
As a Moroccan who also speaks italian this is crazy, it's like a Moroccan broken italian because it's has words from both languages 😂
It’s like an Arabic creole where the words are borrowed from Italian
BS it's a separate language that's neither Italian nor Arabic. I don't see you guys calling English a creole of German and French.
@@magnuscorbin5040😂😂😂
@@magnuscorbin5040Look at it’s history it’s a creol
It is just arabic with alot of italian words @magnuscorbin5040
@@user-ji3qm5gf7j No it comes from Phoenician. Stop talking about things you don't understand.

Sound like Arabic mixed with Italiano
What a shame about the music. I really wanted to listen to the Maltese
Sounds like a mix of albanian and hungarian - was so confused when I heard it the first time live!
I speak Italian and I hear similarities

Stop trying to claim Maltese and be proud of your own nation.
@@magnuscorbin5040
The island of Malta, before it was occupied by the Europeans, belonged to Tunisia. Of course, I am proud of the nation I belong to. I do not claim Malta, but I meant that the Maltese language has its origins in the Tunisian dialect.
@@njoumellil It was part of the empire stationed there. Tunisia didn't exist at the time. And if you go back further in time Malta was also part of the Carthaginian Empire, which is where the language comes from.
@@magnuscorbin5040
At that time, Tunisia included a large part of Libya, Algeria, many Italian islands, and Malta.
The Phoenicians called it Africa before the name spread to the entire continent
The language has its roots in *Arabic* (particularly Maghrebian dialects) but you can certainly hear the Italian pollution. Say *YES/IVA* to pure Maltese 🧡🇲🇹🇹🇳🇩🇿🇲🇦🇱🇾🧡 Say *NO/LE* to pollution 🚫🇮🇹🏴🇫🇷↘️🚽🚮☑️
wtf you talking about. What you are calling pollution is what make Maltese Maltese, else it would be just arabic.
