I hate it when documentaries waste so much time talking about soil types, when that makes up such a tiny part of the overall wine. Minerality doesn't come from soil minerals.
Yes but it makes a huge difference in the wines acid structure, ripening behaviour, root behaviour, water retention, disease resistance, and the general workability and longevity of the vineyard. Soil is quite the rabbit hole of information, and its importance feels simultaneously under and overstated somehow lol.
Welcome back and great to see the quality is still top notch.
Guildsomm is back!!
Thank you so much, GuildSomm, for getting back to making these vids for this channel! I've really missed your content.
Thanks for your comment! We're excited to be producing new videos again, too. So glad you enjoy the content.
Can’t wait to hear about new regions! So refreshing to get these videos again. Maybe Georgia or Croatian wines possibly?
This was well put together! Thanks!
Yes! the Okanagan has some killer wines
great video, the PNW is simply so beautiful. Paradise
We visited the Okanagon valley 10 years ago, in the fall. Very beautiful, with fantastic wines. I highly recommend a trip north of the border.
Thanks for this informative effort
