This honestly felt like a season 1 mini-episode to me, and it gives me hope the show will go back to being about IMP doing their job. That was where the most fun in the show happens, and this short showcases that pretty well!
i know! i was focused on an analysis related to a different type of media, and suddenly i'm swarmed with the news of a helluva short! guess that's my entire schedule flipped this week then lol
i really like that they're continuing to do shorts between large-scale episodes! the first one was great and this one definitely didn't miss the mark. i hope they keep doing these shorts, since it keeps them relevant and all that (i'm sure people have mentioned this like a million times already lol)
@@1Cryptid Hey sorry I know this is a bit random, but I just posted a fanmade season 2 trailer for Hazbin hotel and wondering if I could maybe get your thoughts on it?😅
I prefer Hell's Belle's as it was much more heartfelt and just...beautiful, but this one is great in it's own way. It's unhinged, funny, and hey, we got to know how the crystal works. Also I love how even after all those nights with Stolas, he didn't really know how to activate the crystal. I feel like that might say something about their "relationship"
indeed! i like the idea that, through these shorts, it can bring the original pilot premise for the show back with a new coat of paint. we may be able to see imp go on missions in a short, episodic form, reminiscent of classic saturday-morning cartoons with the gang getting up to some light-hearted mischief that doesn't necessarily affect the main plot/story in any way. also yeah, absolutely agree on the "blitz not knowing how to activate the crystal" thing. shows how focused both parties were on a different motive, skimming past certain details, only realizing later in order to fight back against their allegations from each other in the moment. gotta love the chaotic stolitz dynamic!
what do you want the next helluva short to be about?
Hopefully
More helluva missions
Or characters like Stolas
Or a backstory on Verosika bc I wanna know how they broke up

I love how this short came out of nowhere the other day. No warning, no heads up, Viv just threw it in our face lol
